If you never been to Beijing and think travel is not worth the effort, Richmond is a great alternative. Aberdeen center is like the modern day forbidden kingdom of the ming dynasty.
You didn’t say a single word about economy and jobs and how expensive it is. Richmond like other Canadian cities have not many jobs. In my humble opinion unemployment is at least 30-40% and government always lies about this. House prices are keep rising and soon all the locals will be priced out and they will be forced to leave and they are already leaving . If you have money from somewhere, somehow it’s a good place to live.
Great video, very helpful. BTW I know you're mainly focusing on Vancouver area, but are you familiar with Kelowna, I heard it's a beautiful place to live in. Wanna know what's your opinion on it?
Thank you! Kelowna is very beautiful as well. I have been there a few times but not as much to give you an honest opinion. However, a lot of people I know love it out there as well. I will probably do a video comparing Vancouver to Kelowna soon.
Funny you talk about Richmond's housing because that city literally has the cheapest place to buy a home in metro-Vancouver. If you don't mind living in a condo or apartment, it's not that hard to find a place for under $500,000. Some places are legit under $300,000. Personally I find there to be a charm to Richmond. Maybe it's just because hobos who are looking to steal your bike are down to a minimum there, but the city definitely has a welcoming and unique feel to it.
@@veeralsolanki5750 absolutely not . You will be lucky to buy a 500sq ft condo on that salary . Then you will be hit with the maintenance fees for the buildings . Don’t bother
Dude they asked if they could live in Richmond on 60k, and you said yes! Come on man be honest. The answer is NO. You couldn't even get approved for a mortgage on half million dollar studio apartment.

Richmond's biggest pro: close to Vancouver. Close to YVR. Close to all shopping. Close to nature. Best fruit salad in B.C.

Which one would you recommend between Richmond and Burnaby?
Hard to say. Personal preference both have pros and cons. I don't think I can answer that because I love both cities.
What about houses in Richmond, someone who comes there for a first time , usually takes a basement, is basement there in Richmond ?
Hi Ruth, yes there are basement suites available for rent. They are not below ground but above ground basement suites.
