    Isnt the yoke supposed to have a dart incorporated into it

      Academics says it's supposed to, but I guess you can add a dart if you want to decrease the size of the waist

    Thank you! Just what I was looking for. Now I'm curious - why not just use the back pattern as is? Is is simply a style choice, or does it have a function? And if I have a dart on my original pattern, do I add that to the yoke as well?

    Had a vintage pattern book that made the seam curved. They said twas for dart effect on the trousers.

    At the beginning how did you determine the amount to come down on the side seam and center back line? the 2 in and 3.5 in.
