    Thank You, Eric, for Your tutorials. I´m German, 70 years old and just finished my first jeans. Since shops were closed due due the crazy way of the dictatorship of Merkel. For the pattern I took all measurements of a fitted jeans.
    Everything worked perfect (or nearly perfect). Tomorrow I will start with e pair of jeans for my wife. As long these jeans are not closed, I plan to do some machine embroidery on top.
    Looking forward for other videos!
    Greatings from Germany!

    I'm 55 and learned to sew when i wa7. I'm a hobbyists and no where near professional. Watching these videos (I've been watching a fewvof yours tonight. ) gives me clear instructions to take my game up a couple of notches.
    When i was in high school i had a deep interest in sewing and wantedvto learn more than what was taught in home economics. Unfortunately there wasn't any programs or courses offered back then.
    I'm not too old to learn now. I love your videos and want to make a pair of custom jeans for myself.

    You are awesome. I can't breathe too well today because of my stress and anxiety of having one thin old worn out pair of jeans left in my wardrobe of nothing and I really needed to get a patent in some material and just watching you help me feel so much better about my life.

    Thank you for your videos. quick question though. What kind of specific chalk or marker are you using to mark your garments? I noticed it disappears with heat!

    Just found your channel. Thanks for sharing your skills. Best tip from this video was about the shortening the metal toothed zipper. Appreciate that. I was buying them in various lengths because I really didn't think I could do it without damaging the zipper tape. I'll give this a try.

    Love you guy!!! Question, why sew a seam in the piece that's folded in half instead of surging that edge?

    Question, at 10:47 - 11:05, why sew a seam in the piece that's folded in half instead of surging that edge? It's the piece that I call the fly shield. Thanks!!!

    Thank you Eric for these videos. I've taken Construction and tailoring classes with you a while back and always wanted to continue with your instructions. I have my own work room now, and am looking forward to expanding my skills. I am interested in making a pair of blue jeans from scratch and other garments of course! Thanks again Eric. I HAVE A zeal to learn new things. have learnt a few techniclal arts like welding, fabrication, elecrtical/electronics etc with the help of u tube. these days i m for tailoring and have sewn 2 pants, 4 pajamas and some half shorts/underwear. i was looking for a comprehensive video on DENIM JEANS. then i came across urs. u explain very well.thnks. can u plz tell the basic difference BETWEEN A PANT AND JEANS MEASUREMENTS. I SHALL B THNKFULL.
    AND THE LAST N THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT HAS COMPOLLED ME TO WRITE TO U IS THAT PLZ REFRAIN FRM ADDING BACKGROUND MUSIC. THOUGH ITS SOFT BUT IT DILUTES THE ATTENTION OF A LEARNER. AS U WUD AGREE THAT MUSIC IS NOT ALLOWED IN A CLASS ROOM.

    What's the name of that foot and can it be ordered for my Brother machine?

    • @ericw.stilesmasterbespoket3212
      @ericw.stilesmasterbespoket3212  3 года назад

      The foot is called a double compensating foot. Ask a machine dealer for your machine if it is available.

    Why not contrasting gold thread❓🤔
    This looks to be light weight denim❓

    • @ericw.stilesmasterbespoket3212
      @ericw.stilesmasterbespoket3212  2 года назад +1

      The jeans were made for me and I did not want the contrasting color thread. But anyone who make these , would add there own touch.
      Thank you. EWS

      @@ericw.stilesmasterbespoket3212 When making your own jeans you can have them any way you wish!! Been making my own jeans for many, many years and have used lots of different colours for topstitching...just because I can. I also embroider, one or sometimes both, back pockets often with a monogram the same colour as the topstitching. Thanks for the video, as you can tell I enjoy making jeans too.
