Trying Sashiko Mending on my Jeans

In today's video I'm trying out Sashiko mending on a pair of jeans! I've been wanting to try this out for a while and I finally had the chance because I needed to mend a rip in the bum of one of my favorite pairs of jeans.

Would you consider this better than other patch methods?

I wouldn't necessarily say it's better, I think it's just as sturdy/secure as other patching methods and I just like the look of it. I think it's a really beautiful and unique way of patching a hole!
