    I've had mine for almost 2 years. Probably the best thing I could have ever purchased for my home audio system. Love it. Zero complaints.

      I’m very happy with mine. Looking forward to buying a 10 channel version for the new theater build.

    Nice. I'm going XPA-DR3 for my front stage to push my 1.R's and Ref Center

    Glad to see. I did the same as you when I tried it with emotiva mono blocks connected to a Marantz receiver. But when I switched out the receiver and went to separates that is where you will notice a big difference right away. I then went from mono blocks to the Emotiva 9ch gen3. You will notice better SQ and channel separation even at lower volumes. I believe that will be your next step in your journey.
    Good Luck and nice video.

      I have a follow up video on this amp coming up with some extra thoughts.

    Good video and channel. Down to earth realistic approach to your content. Well done.
    I have a small dedicated room, recently upgraded from a 10 yr old pioneer elite 7.1 to a mirantz cinema 50, wanted 4k and atmos... etc.
    Before I made that upgrade I felt it struggled to power the 7 channels. I added the emotiva BASx 3 channel to power the LRC, klipsch reference premiers. Wow, 1000% difference.
    Now, even with the Marantz, I'm considering the emotiva you reviewed for the 7 bed layers and let the mirantz power the 4 atmos. Still debating. The AVRs, regardless of brand, just can't pump out the kind of power to make the system pop, especially to the LRC's

      I really appreciate that. I've heard really good things about the Marantz cinema 50. I think Andrew Robinson has a glowing review on it. Klipsch speakers are some of the most efficient. I'm sure the Marantz does a good job powering them.

    I have an SC-LX901 and am floored by the power it has running in a 7.2.4 setup. I did however source out the L/R channels to an EMOTIVA BasX 150Wx2 amp which paired extremely well with the Pioneer. I feel content audio wise in my room. Don't need 4K 120Hz or 8K for a decade at least so I'm going to run my Elite for years to come until it dies! No real need to upgrade audio processing... however I did recently upgrade to an 83" OLED to pair with my Elite SC-LX901, Oppo-203, and B&W 700 Series speakers. :)

    I also have a Pioneer Elite 701 running 11.2 that I love. I have wondered if a separate amp would sound better as well. I am super pleased with the Pioneer sound and runs my system really well. I have wondered if $2000 worth of amps is worth it. Thanks for the video, kinda tilts the scale but $2000 is a big amount to spend. I like your theater, you did a great job on building it. You can see my Theater videos on here if you want to see it.

      I probably wouldn’t have gotten the amp if I didn’t have the upgrade plan. Pioneer was more than enough. The amp looks cool though so no regrets. Appreciate your thoughts on the theater. I’ll definitely check yours out.

    I might have missed it, but what kind of speakers are you running? It seems like some people notice a big difference when adding an amp while others (like yourself) do not. Wondering if it has anything to do with how difficult the speakers are to drive.

    • @Upscaled_HT
      @Upscaled_HT  Год назад

      It plays a part for sure. All my speakers are pretty efficient. They’re Definitive Technology speakers.

    Nice video I’m going to buy this amp soon… I have a slightly bigger room. I think when you swap out you’re AVR you might notice more a difference. Audioholics has a few videos about this stuff and how dedicated processors and higher end AVRs like anthem will produce cleaner sound when going to separates. I have a pioneer myself the VSX LX-504 but strongly considering an anthem down the road. Pioneers global crossover really annoys me.

    • @Upscaled_HT

      I’m most likely going to purchase an Anthem processor for my new theater room along with another emotiva amp. I can’t wait to hear how it sounds.

      @@Upscaled_HT can’t wait to hear your results! I’m probably going to get the anthem MRX 1140 8K, looking at the in depth review audioholics gave it has very clean preouts and up there with the best on the market top tier processors in terms of performance despite being an integrated amplifier. It allows for so much flexibility and it’s built in amplification is fantastic too… I’d use the XPA for my bed channels and it’s internal for the top channels. … uhg can’t stop chasing in this hobby! Btw what sub/subs are you running?

    Hi Wonderful 🎉review!! I have same Def Tech Towers 9080X and I want to purchase external amplifier 😮! Just feel that the deep bass is lacking! 😢 do you have any input?

      I really like my SVS PB 3000s. Those towers have great bass but when you pair them with a good sub, it’s very noticeable.

    The Pioneer Class D amp is pretty good! I have the 801 and it sounds good as well but might upgrade to a better class D.
    Emotiva does make a good solid amp!

    Is Ebay the only place where you can get this Amp nowadays? The website has it marked as OOS.

    How does this work if yout center stage is 3 in ceiling speakers will its still power that how would you hook that up since technically its 5 speakers. Would i have too go with the 5 speakers amplifier instead of the 3 channel i meant go with the 5 channel instead?

    • @Upscaled_HT
      @Upscaled_HT  Год назад

      I guess I don’t understand how 3 speakers is technically 5.

    No benefits if those are powered Def Tech towers. I am curious as to power efficiency of these Emotiva amps vs something like the Monolith?

    • @Upscaled_HT
      @Upscaled_HT  Год назад

      They are powered but it’s just for the built in 12 inch sub. The rest of the drivers are passive. But yeah, the built in amps reduces the load on the emotiva.

    Would using a class a - b amp work better than you using a D class amp

    • @Upscaled_HT

      Class d amps have come a long way. AB amps are tried and true but much less efficient than class d. I like them both honestly.
