Is it a good idea to buy it now and sell it off in a month or 2 from now. Im doing a virtyal stock market game for school. Any tips?
I have notioced you have talked about SOFI in this context several times… a particular reason for using SOFI specifically and not any other for the strategy? Is it you are bullish in the Long term for SOFI?

You could also use the profit to sell cash secured puts below market price.

Are you sure in long term sofi stock won't decrease? in which case you may lose the 50,000 dollar ?
I suggest buying the new tesla innovation shares at this point as they are relatively cheap and are sure to yield long-term profits

Selling covered call options has burned me several times already. When the stock goes higher and it goes over the strike price, you loose money.

No. The stock gets sold and you still collect the premium profit. You can then buy back the stock. The only risk is opportunity cost.
would have been a hell of video, if SOFI would have delivered - still good content though. Maybe you could do a follow up analysis of SOFI after the earnings, and assume a worsening economy - thanks!

A lot of assumptions made in this video. Let's say that SoFi stock actually drops to $3.5 after buying at $7. Then you're down to $25K. You might then say that you can then still sell covered calls. Yes, but can you then still sell them for $11.5? If it stays flat at $7 for 20 years, it doesn't seem that the premiums on the covered calls would stay at $11.5. They would probably be much lower.
I got 100k in Sofi and i can’t retire yet.

I’m currently doing this strategy with my 75k shares. Plan to get more and more shares till I’m well over 100k shares

I see sofi as long term. I'm expecting to hold for multiple years. So in 3 years will I care it hit 7 or 8 or 9 when I look at 20s and 30s if they maintain growth?
