According to Tesla, energy generation and storage revenues increased by 7% year-over-year to $1.635 billion in the first quarter of 2024, which is 7.7% of the company's total revenues. The segment also had its highest gross profit, making it Tesla's "highest margin business".
Chief financial officer Vaibhav Taneja said that the company expects energy storage deployments in 2024 to grow at least 75% higher than in 2023.

Next ERA has been stagnant for a few years. Used to be a hot energy/utility stock.
Energy is a a huge deal and will always be a huge deal. The old video game "Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri" taught me that quite some years ago (who said games wouldn't teach anything, eh?).
However, renewables aren't going to work for that. Nuclear energy will be the big one, long term. Renewables make me think of an old Dutch decorative plate I saw, that talked about the tulip mania. It translated to "sh*t stocks and wind trade!". That always comes to my mind whenever I think of people investing in "renewables".
(I'm biased. I think renewables are a waste of time and nuclear is awesome. Guess that's the emotional human in me!)

Felix! Al Gore didn´t at all say that all the glacier would melt about 2030. It was the Indian guy, Pachauri, the lead writer of the ICCP of the UN Climate report around 2010 that stated that the Himalaya glaciers (so called Third Pole) would melt by 2035. It turned out to be a typing error, and should have been 2350. He of course was thrown to what Trotsky called the "dustheap of history". May god save his soul. Don´t blame Gore, his pain is enough. He not only had an election stolen from him, but lost also the very cherished Tipper the blond...And at least respect him for having invented the internet! I most certainly hope you do not doubt that.
I listened twice and Felix did not say anything about glaciers. He said ice caps. From National Geo - Oct 19, 2023 - An ice cap is a thick layer of ice and snow that covers large areas of land. You'll usually find ice caps in the North and South Poles of Earth. A quick search found that Al Gore said, Gore cited scientists who suggested there was a 75% chance the Arctic could be nearly ice-free in the summer within five to seven years from 2007, which was later reiterated in his 2009 statements (PolitiFact) (PolitiFact). So I think Al's statement was a big swing and a miss.
