Do you have problems in the summer with the water getting too hot? I'd like to do something similar and I live in the Southwest too but I'm afraid my fish will boil even in the shade.
rocket5557 what you have to do is keep lots of water movement . Also use water mist systems to cool the surrounding area. I have a video that shows over 100 degrees down to the 80's In minutes
Michael Eugenio Thanks, I'm going to give it a try this summer. I was hesitant as I had a kids pool (400 gallon) in the shade and it got over 90 degrees. I did hear a fountain can really cool the water. You've inspired me to give it a try!
shoelesblondlady you would seal your tank with 100% silicon. GE silicon 1 is fish safe . There is lots of info on this on the king of DIY you tube page
kharmoniet it depends on the size of tank and depth . It is a good product.I personally like t8 and t5 lighting on my planted tanks at 2-3 watts per gallon . Make sure when getting a light it's 6500k because that is what you need to grow plants .
How cold is it in wintertime?!
excellent video
COOPER'S CICHILDS thank you
