I definitely feel like Sega is teasing the idea of exploring the Multiverse. Even if we don’t see, alternate versions of sonic, blaze has had her own dimension since 2005, and we’ve seen several other realities, such as the fiery dimension from rivals 2. So all the work is already done for them. They could easily introduce a Multiverse of sonics. Although I have to wonder if they trying to play their cards wisely, considering some people are getting really tired of the Multiverse trend

Keep things self contained and, for the love of god, *AVOID THE 'with every new decision, we create an alternate timeline' IDEA, THAT'S PART OF WHY PEOPLE ARE SICK OF THE MULTIVERSE.* Basically, if you do it, don't invalidate the original universe we're focusing on.
