    Hey man, thank you for this review and for sharing your experience.
    I'm wondering what do you prefer now? AKG K92 or OneOdio Pro 50? I'm confused between the two.
    My main purpose is to just use it with digital piano. I would like to know which produces comparatively better sound quality from the two?

      I still use both, but I use the OneOdio for piano practice and band practice, and the AKG for editing my videos. The AKG are probably offer a tiny bit more detail, but the OneOdio is way more comfortable and sturdy (I’m always tossing them into a gig bag for practices and bringing them back etc). If I could only have one I’d choose the OneOdio (just make sure it’s the Pro and get either the 10or the 50; I’d get the 50 the ear pads are awesome).

      Perfect! I got the answer then. OneOdio Pro 50 it is for me.
      Thank you so much for your detailed quick response. :)
      Here in Amazon India, the biggest sale of the year is happening, and AKG K92 and OneOdio Pro 50 are on sale for 35$ and 40$ respectively, which I think is a great deal!

    Thanks Tony. Interesting video, I'm still using my regular iPhone headphones when I record keyboard videos...
    Have you tried the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro? I guess they are more expensive than the AKG K92 though. These are the ones I wanted like to buy some day... maybe for Christmas 😂
    But maybe the AKG K92 would be enough for me...

      Wow those look pretty nice! My store here doesn’t carry that brand so I couldn’t try them out - they are about 3x the price of the ones I bought but they look pretty amazing (I think you need some for Xmas ;)

    I want to share my experience for what it's worth. I have some AKG K24P wich I bought around 2007. I started playing piano in 2015 and they're OK for me. Two years ago I broke the headband near the driver so I looked for new ones. I wanted them to listen to music and to play the piano, like my AKG. I bought some AKG K271 and I returned them because I found them terrible to listen to music. I didn't try them with my piano. Then I bought some Koss KPH30iK wich are terrible for piano and I returned them. Finally I ordered some Sennheiser HD 599 wich I didn't like for piano. So I'm still using my bad-repaired AKG K24P and wondering if I ever find something as decent as them for all purposes.

      Thanks for that info! My second set of AKG's are still working, and I bought a set of OneOdio Studio Pro 10's as a second set and they're great value for piano.

    Those are priced under $50 now. I just picked up a set of Yamaha HPH 100B for $50. How are those AKG’s holding up? Already replaced? Holding strong ?

    • @PianoTone
      @PianoTone  8 месяцев назад +2

      After my original set died after a couple months, the replacement set has been fine to this day they're awesome. I use those as well as OneOdio Studio Pro 50's (did a review on the 10's here): ruclips.net/video/KC4raa0RX2Y/видео.html - they're amazing value (just make sure you get Studio Pro's not the A71's or any other one OneOdio makes - they all look the same and can be confusing online, the Studio Pros are the ones that don't modify sound with bass boost etc.

      Hey thanks a bunch! Actually about 3 months ago the left ear started to distort badly - I took them back to the store I bought them from and they gave me a new set which has been fine so far; but I guess jury is still kinda out. Once I’m a bit further in I’ll probably post an update.

      Yeah there’s a lot of scary 1 star Amazon review on these but, it’s the same with every pair of headphones Iv looked at. I don’t know what to believe from these angry customers. All I want is a good pair for my Keyboard as my expensive Sony noise cancelling headphones are surprisingly terrible, but like you said they have a speaker facility on them which could affect it.
      Might stick with Sony but go for the MDR 7506/1 as they could be a safe bet as far as studio headphones go.
