    • @user-yn4xc8kt3i
      @user-yn4xc8kt3i 2 месяца назад +46

      That is a generalization. My mom, brother, and ex husband are all autistic. All three would love to have a magic button they could push to be neurotypical. They all realize what a burden their limitations caused by autism are, and the fact that it alienates them from others. They do not enjoy their sensory issues, social impairments, or meltdowns. I have had deep discussions about this and among their online support groups this is a common feeling which is just as valid as embracing autism. Some people don't like it or want it and that shouldn't be disparaged or erased.

      @@user-yn4xc8kt3i I think it more has to do with neurotypicals feeling the need to fix or cure those who are neurodivergent because our struggles can be inconvenient to some, understandably so (they're inconvenient to me too lol). I don't like how I struggle in my day to day life and I do wish I could be neurotypical BUT I hate it when people around me think my neurodiversity is something to be fixed or cured or it's something that I did to myself. To me it seems more like, whether the desire to not be autistic is there or not, is immaterial. It can’t be gotten rid of, so acceptance and support has to be the path that’s followed. Like with so many other disabilities.

    As a mom with an autistic child, I strongly disagree with that lady's hot take that "therapy isn't helping your child with autism." That makes me want to throw up. My toddler goes to therapy three times a week, and it's the best decision we could have ever made for him. He's made huge strides in every area of his development, and it's such a sweet thing to see my son have a team of caregivers who loves and helps him.
    Arbonne could never.

    • @aimeedouglas1584
      @aimeedouglas1584 2 месяца назад +42

      Right? I’m a former special education teacher and am fully aware of the monumental benefits of various therapies for children with autism. It is widely known that early intervention via therapy (OT, feeding therapy, play therapy, etc, etc) is the very best and healthiest way to ensure that children with autism learn and progress as they develop. I hate these companies who try to claim otherwise. I mean, if you think oils and supplements are helping your child a little, fine. But for this person to outright claim that the truly effective treatments should be set aside for the alternatives is appalling.

    • @Link-dx1lx

      It really depends on the kind of therapy. Some kinds are really helpful to autistic kids, some can be really traumatizing. I definitely agree. 24 hours is not the same for everybody while everybody is alive and functioning for 24 hours if you’re a millionaire, you may have people in cooking and cleaning your house while you sat by the pool all day like you said your situation you have your animals yes you’re taking care of them and have things to do for them but your day is definitely a lot different than like you said a single mother with five kids, some people are working two jobs even though they’re single just to be able to afford rent with all the inflation right now. some people have illnesses back injuries where sometimes it may take you half the day to even be able to get up and start moving around. I cannot stand when people say that to others people with insomnia because your body hasn’t rested yeah you had the same 24 hours, but you can’t hardly function because your brain can’t hardly work because you’ve been awake for days at a time.

It forces us to mask, not manage autistic traits and needs. I received no therapy and I seemed complete stable at 25. I had finished my degree, Cumme laude. On my way to a highly competitive and exhausting post grad program. I had a respectable office job with the municipality, job and a life and by all measures I was doing well. (sorry for the length, I'm terrible at short and sweet - just ignore this if you don't want to read a novella)
      I have to ask... why is it bad to want to not be autistic? I am asking this because my teenage son is autistic. He's spent weeks in a psych ward and his autism prevents him from many things. We are doing absolutely everything his care team suggests to try to help him the best possible quality of life and help him be a productive member of society, but his autism is pretty... harsh. I have asked him about it and he's wished for a cure and honestly, as I watch him struggle, I wish for one, too. That doesn't mean I hate autistic people or want them to disappear, however. Yet expressing a thought like mine is considered "bad" and I don't understand why. I'm disabled and mostly bedbound/confined to a wheelchair and wish hard that I had a cure for my various illnesses, yet no one has told me I should be ashamed for wanting that. I wish there were cures for various mental illnesses. My brother died and his schizoaffective disorder contributed to it. I also wish there was a cure for that, too. Yet I was shamed for it. Why? I genuinely don't understand. I am diagnosed with depression, and would love a cure for that, as well.
      Please understand that this does not mean that I hate people who struggle with these things; I do not. But watching my son struggle so much and cry and have to be hospitalized and basically have no IRL friends makes me wish that he didn't have to go through life on Hard Mode like he is. Same with my daughter who has diagnosed Tourette's and OCD. She's also expressed a desire for a cure for her issues and for her brother. If there was a cure, I would never say that it MUST be taken by every autistic person but even expressing a desire for them (medical professionals/scientists) to look for a cure gives you significant backlash and I genuinely cannot comprehend why. I am also not saying that YOU need to be cured, either. But for those who do wish that they didn't have to struggle with it... like, even my son was "yelled at" over the internet for expressing a desire for a cure for his autism. I told him there is nothing wrong with wanting that and not to listen to those people because only he truly understands how bad it is for him and he's perfectly valid in wanting that for himself. The last time I expressed this (after my son tried to take his own life), I was called a horrible person and a horrible mother and that somehow I'm in favor of genocide - which is beyond absurd and disgusting.
      I'd take a cure for being able to walk again, but I know not everyone would. But it would be nice for the option. Same for mental illnesses and other neurodivergences - especially if they seriously interfere with your QoL, you know? Again, I am not saying I want you or anyone to disappear, but the option for a cure for those who want it... it'd be nice. And if my son didn't wish for the same thing and I saw how much he struggled with it, I doubt I'd think this at all as I wouldn't have experience with it. It's not taboo to want to cure your physical ailments, but for some reason it is for mental ones, even though those can seriously impact your life in the negative - like my brother's did and currently, my son. And I've never understood it. Either way, I love my children and would do anything to help them succeed in life. Autism or not.

      I'm a person with autism myself. I say that, because while we are not broken or sick in the traditional sense, I don't view my autism as a benefit in my life, and it's usually actively a harm to it. Because it's a spectrum, how functional one is will vary. If you're high functioning, then you're probably going to have an easier time than someone who isn't. We agree that exploiting the fear of people regarding autism is sinister. But I would disagree on the fixing. If there were a cure, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

    The thing that really gets me about the high pH water being used as detergent is that you can’t just magically raise (or lower) water’s pH without adding something to it. And 11.5 is HIGH (water is usually around 6.5-8, and the average laundry detergent doesn’t usually go above 10). So, if it *is* in fact raising the pH that much (someone needs to get those pH test strips and test this tbh, bc it could be doing nothing at all), the only way it could achieve a pH that high is by actively adding a highly basic substance to the water. At which point it isn’t “just water” is it?

    • @evren5642

      Also should maybe be obvious but low pH isn’t necessarily what makes detergents and cleaners effective, anyway. It has more to do with how those chemicals are able to interact with lipids and other grime, something water just can’t do on its own bc it’s naturally lipophobic.

    Hi guys! Biochemistry student here! I'll explain the science from the post at 13:30 for anyone interested.
    Water ionizer- it doesn't make sense because if you put salt in water, the salt becomes ions. So water itself is "an ionzier". And water also "ionizes" itself all the time like this: H2O -> H+ and -OH , so no need for a machine.
    Molecular hydrogen rich water- This is impossible. Molecular hydrogen also known as "hydrogen gas" or "H2". It would no longer be molecular if you mixed it with water. It would react and the whole thing would become acidic water. The simplest definition of "acid" is "more hydrogen then there's supposed to be". Molecular hydrogen can be dangerous and can explode in contact with air.
    Anti-oxidant rich- Well, hard to say what this would be like, it depends on which anti-oxidant we are talking about. Some examples are vitamin A , C and E. But what's hilarious is that anti-oxidants actually stops ionization from occurring. In other words, if you stop hydrogens from splitting off from their molecules and becoming their own ion, then you are an antioxidant. Antioxidants are usually big molecules and the water would probably become gunky and opaque.
    Medical grade water- It is extra clean water used to sterilize things at the hospital. This water wouldn't be medical grade because there are anti-oxidants in it! But even if there were no anti-oxidants, it would easily become non sterile as soon as it touches anything, including regular air.
    Electrolysis- No, that is just outrageous. Electrolysis is basically a complicated way to turn water into gas. But not just regular H2O steam, but split up in to oxygen and hydrogen gas. This is a chemical technique done in a lab, and it will explode unless you know what you are doing! So about pH; pH juste means how acidic or basic something is, in other words "how many extra hydrogen atoms are there?" or "How many hydrogen atoms are missing?" Where a pH of 7 means it's perfectly in the middle. When preforming an electrolysis you can get a difference in pH over time, and in separated areas of the water. What pH we would get depends on what type of electrolysis we do. Sounds technical? IT IS.
    11,5 pH - That is just as basic as bleach. None of the things mentioned above would cause water to become that extremely basic (remember basic menas lack of hydrogen atoms). If you want something to get a particular pH you can't just turn a dial on a machine!
    Oil emulsification- means oil and water are mixed really well. At this point I don't know anymore.

      especially seeing these people who all their content is their kids, multiple posts a day, with evidence of these vids being DOWNLOADED. now why does a stranger need to download vids of kids playing, eating, etc etc? it's so fucked up. kids should not be a product for profit in the first place, & there is so much evidence that they're being digitally sexually assaulted. anyone doing this to their kids need to have their accounts permabanned.

Many people at funerals are sad and, fortunately, very vulnerable to high pressure sales. Seize the opportunity boss babes! I want to share with you several life hacks I have successfully employed. Surface space in funeral homes can be limited, and so, I have found that simply closing the casket lid will free up a great deal of space to display your products. For those of you who sell make-up, why not consider using the corpse as your "pallette" to demo your products.

MLMers can't do this. They cannot turn off their phones and just chill or they risk losing everything. MLMs aren't the antithesis of corporate America. They are the DREAM of corporate America. People who are so brainwashed by their company that they will work 18+ hours a day, skip major life events, ignore health concerns, disregard their families in order to serve all while making less than minimum wage. I work with autistic people and I also study autism and I have to use both terms! I use person first language in professional papers but when referring to someone, I use “autistic”. It’s a very big topic in the psychology community as well as the autism community. Generally speaking, you would use person first language with things like anxiety and depression. However, everyone has their own preferences and we want to make sure the person who is affected gets to choose what language is being used for them. Another debate is whether or not to capitalize autism and other conditions. In a professional setting, we do not capitalize DSM 5 disorders unless it’s an abbreviation like: ASD vs autism.

Even water that is being agitated in a washer still cannot replicate the effect of using soap or detergent. This has been known for countless years. Was there NO other way she could've promoted this filter? 😅

It is possible that they really don't understand that doing this, using death to sell, is wrong. And if they get out, is something they will have to come to terms with and reconcile. Granted, they might be some that know exactly what they are doing and don't care.
