I am a self employed driver, working for different companies like Stobarts, Greenhaul, Target, Race Drivers INC, Royal Mail, Kammac etc. Trying to keep my job interesting.
I am always tramping (sleeping out in the cab) and going for discovery walks around the area.
My favourite location is Scotland and of course anywhere near the sea or forest.

Hi everyone!
My name is Lina and I am the writer of a blog documenting my life as a truck driver on Britain's roads (and sometimes elsewhere, too)! I have been at it for 5 years now, but I'm still learning and I'd be pleased for you to join me in this journey.

Trips to Ireland back in the days of the troubles had more than the paperwork to deal with.
Coming back from a shopfitting installation in Dublin, be late eighties, our van was in for repairs so we had a hired transit.
Landing back at Holyhead we had all the information to hand, had to wait for the sniffer dog in the back of the van, empty except for tools, the guy and the dog then departed, another guy and dog turn up, so I said we'd already been checked, no he says , that ones drugs, this ones explosives.
Keep on trucking, get back on a European F1 drop if you can.

I've been travelling to and from Ireland since I was born, last time was in 2019, they had dogs checking vehicles whilst at sea, when I travelled alone I was stopped many times, and stopped in the middle of the country. I travelled a few times with my sister and her husband, I was helping them renovate their house, 2 men and a women was a typical IRA unit, luckily they were serving police officers.
Great people over there.

Hope you noticed the painted road markings where it says " SLOW" then a bit further on "SLOWER".
Great video Lina, congratulations on a successful voyage 🚢, ship looks very comfy, very smart. The first time I travelled freight was Dover to Zeebrugge in the mid eighties, you shared a cabin with 3 others, it was below the water line and under the vehicle decks, all you heard was chains being dragged all night 😖🥴.
My parents ( my father was Irish, my mother English ), travelled to Ireland before they were married, were separated on the ship by the staff.

Hello Lena! I came to Ireland 18 years ago! the first 10 years I traveled in Ireland with one eye, I'm glad I got here! After 17 years they sent me for research and everything worked out, and now what? I love Ireland! but the old one is not now
