      They've always had this ridiculousness. Just the face of the ridiculousness changes as time goes on. But it definitely has that vibe to it too...

    Really funny!!! I'v always wondered about the history of the Donair One of the best foods Nova Scotia has to offer!!!

    Funny sketch. The orgins of the donair date back to the 1800's in turkey. They call it a "Doner" which means "rotate". The Donair was introduced to Canada in the 1970's by 2 brothers from greece

      Thanks for the clarification. No connection to the Halifax Explosion either.
      Although a Maritimer did invent the sweet sauce. As an alternative to the "spoilt milk" yogurt sauce.

    I actually found this funny, especially since I love donairs (especially the sauce.) Imo the best place to get them is Greco's.

    this is the best
    my buddy told me to try one as soon as i got to halifax . He thinks there amazing. I was expecting a gyro I was not expecting sweet gizz sauce . This made me laugh

    there is a verb in turkish as Don-mek and Doner is an extension of this verb. Sorry greeks, arabs,germans and canadians. Doner is all Turkish from the very beginning
