Enjoying the videos! I also have a fibre glass roof on my older model movano, how did you manage to do the roofing? Did you drill through it to secure support beams i presume you sued to put teh cladding on?
Thanks! We didnt actually have to secure our own support beams. It's a little hard to describe in words but the fibreglass roof came with a few built-in hollow 'cross beams' that were thick enough to screw into without piercing all the way to the outside if that makes sense. So the roof cladding is screwed into those
@@twoweirdbeans4077 Thanks for getting back so fast, makes sense cheers mine has those same cross beams in there. For the roof did you go for sound deadening, wool insulation and then vapor barrier like the walls? Or a different method, there are so many opposing opinions out there!
For the roof we basically did what you say, same as the walls: sound deadening, mixture of insulation board and what is actually a recycled plastic 'wool' then vapour barrier over all of it. There is a lot of options isn't there! We just figured that made the most sense to us in terms of preventing moisture getting to the inner surface of the van or getting the insulation wet and seems to be working fine so far! 🤞
I love the idea of the van living👍👍👍Delighted I came across your channel
Looks really good guys! Well done 🙏🏻
Thanks so much! 😁
