Glad to find so many hardcore Verve fans, definitely my favorite band of the last 25 years or so. This is a great song, I've discovered quite a few lately. Back on my Feet Again might be my favorite.

Nick McCabe said recently that All Ways are Maybe's is one of the best things Verve ever did - I actually prefer this, it's fucking brilliant
If we ever get a fully mastered high res version of Blue Pacific Ocean I reckon I'd rate that as the best thing they've done. All Night Long is up there too. Verve has such an excellent discography. I just hope we can get the final unreleased stuff from Forth someday

The vocal melody is very similar to the verses in 'A Northern Soul' and it somehow reminds me a touch on 'Mary' by Supergrass as well.
also the bass line that would later appear on Columbo from Forth :- )

Hey, thanks for the reply. I'm familiar with the songs you mentioned, however they didn't pop into my head while listening to this one. If there had been more tracks like this on UH, I'd would have valued the album more I think. Can't say I'm super impressed with the rest of the leaked songs so far, maybe they are growers. I had my hopes up after reading Nick's enthusiastic comments about the outtakes, but I feel a bit disappointed with what I've heard
Sorry, I hate This Could Be My Moment - it's so bland. Monte Carlo is the shit and I'd be happy with more tracks in a similar vein. According to Nick it was produced by John Leckie - I think that's why it sounds so interesting

This song is so sad the end part always makes me cry and I thought as I had heard it before years ago that it was from that band , or that guy that sang the low spark of high heeled boys ,I don't know just an odd thought .🙂
Is that version of the song here. Some guys have said the they sing the tracks at concerts, too, so ask if they can upload it. I don’t think it refers to what most people think it does. The band used to use drugs, so I suppose they think it is better than love. I hope the tears are cathartic rather than for grief. Sometimes bottling up emotions can be worse, but oftentimes, you don’t want to be reminded of trauma or awful times.

This is amazing. Why can't I find it in "Urban Hymns (Super Deluxe / Remastered 2016)" ? They never added it?
It was agreed by 3 members of the band and the label that this track along with 10 other tracks uploaded to this channel were going to be included on the UH Deluxe release and the track “All Ways Are Maybes” was going to be released as a promotional single for the reissue, however one member of the band put their foot down and refused to allow them to be included, so the tracks were left off unfortunately

@@ceruleandusk If you haven't already listen to their track Blue Pacific Ocean. Recorded during Forth but inexplicably didn't make the album and ended up unreleased. Like a lot of these UH tracks it's criminal it's never been released.
@@DetectiveGumshoe2025 It's also very nice. My favorites in order are: Echo Bass, Three steps, brake lights and 6oclock.
Verve had horrible management...the band was totally mismanaged...The Verve should have, could have had a gigantic presence on the world stage....

It's a catch 22 though - without RA there'd be no Verve. His lyrics and voice, as well as everything else, good and bad, are part of the Verve
@@lucasm3879 - RA is at his best with the Verve! Nick, Pete and Simon. RA's solo work is garbage next to the music he created in the Verve. IMHO
He has a good voice and the music does sound better with lyrics, but for a while there were band that would release instrumental and studio versions of their tracks.
