I take back the assumption, but can you define "preallstar calls" because people expect the game to slow down in the playoffs and go to the line more. There isn't a player in the league who isn't looking for those calls. I don't understand how Shai gets demonised while Luka averages the same attempts over the last 3 years when you account for the games. Demar Derozan, Giannis and Embiid all high attempts but Shai is the black eye of the game. Shai's probably the only one that doesn't throw up his hands after every play where there is a little contact.

@@LDiLollo35the league told the refs to back off the whistle at the all-star break, resulting in longer possessions, fewer free throws, a league wide drop in scoring and more actual defense being played. Accounting for how much Luka has the ball and scores he gets the least FT attempts by far compared to Shai or Embid, I think partially because of his strength- he finishes through contact and isn’t counting on a bailout, but he definitely complains too much, something he has at least improved on since the all-star break.

Overhelps comes to Luka or Kyrie, DJJ is already half the baseline and its a layup. Luka and Kyrie is so good at faking so DJJ's defender will be hesitant. Either way paint is open. @@tristankinnamon3181That's...an objectively wrong take. As for your example, it would be correct to say the Lakers were dominant for the 75% they controlled the game, but once the Nuggets pushed through and took control to win the game then you obviously don't call it a dominant "win" for the Lakers because they lost. You would not call the Nuggets win dominant since they controlled the lead for so little of the game. The key characteristic of dominance would be consistency, whoever is CONSISTENTLY in control of the game is the more dominant team. The Mavs consistently answered by scoring when the Thunder made a run, and consistently made stops when they needed to maintain their lead. Blowouts don't necessarily equate to consistency, though there is a relational correlation.

Again an incredible bad Thunder take. Think Kyrie played one of his best games as a creator ever. The way he went with the flow was brilliant. Game 2 came down to Hardaway Jr. and Washington. Just how I don’t think Wiggins will go off for 19 again, I don’t think Luka solved OKC

  • @genatch

Separation was created by Kyrie running the offense in 3rd quarter when Luka was on the bench. Luka’s points never contributes to winning.

When this guy says the turnovers were even and rebounds about the same and then in the same sentence says all of these stats swung way in favor of Dallas in this game. You are making yourself look very silly. You contradict yourself in one sentence. Those two things cannot be possible at the same time.

    • @kusa13

But compared to game 1 it was a huge swing in Dallas's favor.

@@kusa13 the only thing that was huge in their favor was the three point shooting, and a few offensive boards. Much more the three point shooting. That was 90% of it.

This dude has no idea what he is talking about. He said Luka did a good job on defense. Luka literally plays ZERO defense. He does not even try. He literally will stand still while an offensive players goes by him and give no effort.

okay to say that he’s not trying is just telling anyone who reads this that you’re not watching or just not educated OR just so insanely biased you can’t see truth.. yes he’s hurt right now so he’s slower than usual but he’s visibly trying.. also NOBODY can win a playoff game if they are playing “literally no defense” like you said he was.. this was a playoff game not a regular season where nobody is giving 100% EVERYONE out there is giving 100% so good job letting everyone know you don’t know what YOU are talking about not the guy with hundreds of thousands of followers
