Due to an alarm that we had not heard before I googled F/P and watched a very informative video by Robin Siegerman. Thank you Robin I did learn alot from you. You were easy to listen to and held my interest, which is hard to do.
Wow, more information than my sales person provided. I went to my already installed fridge and followed along with Robin's explanation. Who knew I had an ice scoop!! Great job!
These are fantastic products. I'm glad I stumbled across this video. I'm building a home for my family in the next 18 months and will definitely look at Fisher & Paykel appliances.
Awesome presesentation. Luckily I stumbled across this brand when attending a conference and a high-end appliance store was nearby. Good timing for our new home. Very attractive refridgerators - classier and in many ways more functional than other mass marketed brands.
I'm so glad you found it helpful! At the time the video was made they were not fingerprint resistant. However that could have changed. To be safe, you should check with your local dealer or contact FisherPaykel.com for help. Good luck!
I'm sorry, I am not familiar with their website. The best thing to do would be to contact your local dealer and ask them, since I'm not sure if F&P distribute all their parts to all markets. Good luck!
Thank you Robin for this video. For the French doors refrigerator, you mention that some people know which side to open as they know exactly where they store their food. I am one of those persons for efficiency but also for energy purposes. BUT, for the veggies and fruits bins, you need to pull out both bins. So every time i want an apple, i will need to open both refrigerator doors! Even with the one door refrigerator, it would be an issue as well because even if I put the fruits in the bin closer to the opening so that I do not have to open wide the door Fridg to grab fruits, I would still need to open the door entirely to be able to pull out the entire tray of both bins which I would not need. So every day I cook, every meal I cook, I need veggies and/or fruits and would need to constantly have these 2 doors open. That would drive me crazy! If there is no way around this, I could not buy this fridg because this is too much of a practical compromise. Already I could work around not being able to adjust the shelves (but not excited about it), but not having the bins pull separately in addition to working around the shelves adjustment is unthinkable for me! oh and, putting bottles already open on the little bottle gadget may not be all that great especially for bottle of wine than can not be securely closed once opened... I am hoping fisher and Paykel would have the option of the 2 bins pulling out separately, if not, this fridg is not an option for me. This fridg would be a great secondary fridg that I would not need to use every day...
I totally understand what you're saying! I have a french door fridge and I do have to open both doors to get to the vegetable drawer. I have gotten used to it so it doesn't bother me, but I think as a manufacturer, it would be very hard to satisfy everyone, so they create features that will satisfy most. I hope you find one that works for you!
How are they at Long term food preservation. I get my organic vegetables at Costco and my husband died so now it takes much longer for me to use the larger quantities that Costco sells so food preservation is far more important to me than any other single feature how do these do that?
I'm very sorry for the loss of your husband. If long term food preservation is your major concern, your best bet is to talk to an appliance dealer who carries a wide range of premium quality refrigerators including the F&P line, and ask them to give you the pros and cons of each, so you can compare and decide which one is going to best meet your needs.
sorry for the late replay, Monika. For clearances, you should consult the F&P specifications. Sometimes they change without notice, so I wouldn't want to give you incorrect information. You can find installation specs online. Hope that helps!
Generally, fridges that are made to be built in like this one, do not have stainless sides as a standard. However, the models may have changed since this presentation was shot, so for the most up to date info, check out Fisherpaykel.com or your local appliance dealer.
Hi. Fisher & Paykel does sell handle-less fridges in New Zealand. You can open the door by using an indentation on the side of the door. They come in left and right side opening versions. Not sure about the availability in your area. I'm sorry, I don't know. For specifications of appliances and accessories, you're best bet is to contact the manufacturer directly for the most current and specific information. Hope that helps!
We received ours today and the shelves can’t handle weight. They started to bow with a gallon of milk, juice, and other items on one shelf. Our other fridge shelving was way more durable. This is so disappointing because I don’t believe this is going to hold holiday dinners Robin
I'm sorry, I'm not able to troubleshoot issues, but if you go to the F&P website, they may be able to refer you to a qualified service technician. Good luck!
For accurate details on building in the F&P appliances, you would be best to contact an authorized dealer or go online to get the official, printed specifications. Depending on what country you are in, the specs may vary.
I sure wouldn't want to be representing the company in a video and mispronounce their name! That would be just a wee bit unprofessional. Thanks for watching this one, too!
Robin seems to struggle with some of her explanation. However, the features offered in this model by F & P are excellent. I may be purchasing this model soon. Thanks for video.

Excellent presentation
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice video, please continue.
Is 2 inches clearance enough for a more than 90 degrees door opening when placed next to the wall?
sorry for the late replay, Monika. For clearances, you should consult the F&P specifications. Sometimes they change without notice, so I wouldn't want to give you incorrect information. You can find installation specs online. Hope that helps!
Yep mine is nearly flush and it opens.
Are these stainless steel on the sides too?

Why there’s plenty water buildup under the vegetable drawers. This is 4 months old F&P quarter doors fridge
Can you open without handle?
Elaine Smith No. There is no fridge on the market, that I’m aware of, that will function without handles.

Do you know the size of the trim kit for 31 by 31 side by side fridge ?
I'm sorry, I don't know. For specifications of appliances and accessories, you're best bet is to contact the manufacturer directly for the most current and specific information. Hope that helps!
Where do you find the trim kit at?
You should talk to the dealer where you are buying the fridge. They should be able to sell you any accessories that are available.
We received ours today and the shelves can’t handle weight. They started to bow with a gallon of milk, juice, and other items on one shelf. Our other fridge shelving was way more durable. This is so disappointing because I don’t believe this is going to hold holiday dinners Robin
I’m sorry to hear that. You should contact customer serviced and maybe they will be able to suggest a solution for you. Best of luck.
My dishwasher is not completely dissolving power detergent. Any suggestions?
Perhaps you're you using more than needed. Also, you could try to switch to pods.
I'm sorry, I'm not able to troubleshoot issues, but if you go to the F&P website, they may be able to refer you to a qualified service technician. Good luck!
Can the 31" fridge be integrated with custom kitchen cabinet? would you have a model Number
