    We use Walkie talkies when backing up it’s so much easier than phones because some places don’t have signal just a hint that may help fyi great video thanks keep them coming and be safe

      We started with walkies 4.5 years ago and now only use them if we don't have cell service. A hands free cell call is way more effective for us - having to hold the talk button, not being able to interrupt, and having yet another device to keep charged drops walkies way down our list of necessary gear. The best upgrade we made for easier parking though is going from a trailer to a motorhome, these things are SO much easier to back into campsites! 🤣

    One thing that I have noticed on many campgrounds is that the power switches on the pedestal have been left on. It's better when connecting the RV power that the switch is in the off position, then plug your cord and then turn on the switch. Do the opposite when disconnecting, turn off switch at the pedestal then disconnect the power cord. Thanks for your tips.

    I’m a solo camper so I don’t have a spotter. That’s not a problem though. I back in, get out, look, back up more then get out again and look. Repeat until you’re happy. Everyone else can wait so don’t rush!!! If you’re lucky enough to have w people traveling (adults), BOTH of those people should know how to drive the rig, back up the rig, etc. An emergency situation is not the best time to do it for the first time.

    The problem I’ve noticed with Blue Beacon is the brushes they use. Unless they’re microfiber soft and new, they tend to leave fine scratches. Just something to be aware of.

    One thing I found that could be kind of be important .one time we burned up the ears on the electrical cord because the receptacle was wore out and loose, so now I put a strap to hold my electrical cord into the outlet for a strong secure hold

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go  2 года назад +3

      Loose plugs can be bad news, a strap isn't a bad idea at all!

    A pool noodle might help on the kickstand and the Jeep bumper bar.

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go  2 года назад +2

      The bull bar is actually dented in a bit, there's no way a pool noodle would survive in between there 😉 Both of those parts are tough, they'll survive!

    Put a pool noodle on the kickstand. 😎

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go  2 года назад +1

      We'd probably just be littering if we did that - there's no way a pool noodle would survive that metal smashing together 😝 The scratches on the bull bar are actually indented so it's rubbing really hard when I have to make sharp right turns. That bar exists to protect the front of the jeep so I'd say it's doing its job 😉

    Hi, watched your video on tips and tricks, nice and very helpful things to know. I would like for you to address in a future video maybe unless you have already talked about a issue with slides. The issue is running into the vary sharp edges and corners when slides are extended out. Hopefully you have never ran into this situation. In all my times camping I saw a guy or gal put a modified pool noodle around the edges on their slide out for a softer encounter, not pretty but neither is a smarts bump. Any way happy trails and camping, Orv

      We've both knocked our heads on slides. Pool noodles help a little bit but it still smarts! 🤣

      What are we doing about high gas prices? Spending a fortune to drive our rig, that's what! 😢 The timing sucks for this trip out west, but we're adjusting our travel habits a bit to help make up for the extra expense.

    How do people check/set the water pressure regulators? Hook up to "faucet", then what? Connect hose? Run water and set? Not a good idea if it overpressure the rig before you dial it down... right? But with no resistance, how can you read pressure? Am I missing something??

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go  2 года назад +2

      The pressure regulator is the first thing in line from the spigot for us that way it won't damage the filter or hose. Anything in the 35-50psi range should be safe. If you end up somewhere with really low pressure you can always fill the fresh tank and run off of your water pump 😉

    • @stana2z
      @stana2z 2 года назад +2

      @@Five2Go So how do you check/adjust BEFORE connecting to the rig???

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go  2 года назад +2

      You can't really check the pressure with nothing hooked up but you can at least make sure it's running at all by turning the spigot on.
