    Hello! Thanks for the awesome review! You didn't mention anything about the 75Hz, does it works with the USB-C cable included in the box. Is some difference with 60Hz?

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  2 года назад +21

      Hi Roman, By default the monitor runs 60Hz refresh rate when I plug in the monitor using USB-C cable to my Asus Zenbook Laptop. I went into Windows 11, System, Display, Advance Display settings and I manage to change this monitor refresh rate to run at 75Hz, and yes it can run 75Hz with the USB-C cable included in the box.
      I don't really do gaming so 60 and 75 Hz does not make a huge difference to me, can't really see the difference. Hope this helps.

    • @GEE-SHOCK
      @GEE-SHOCK 2 года назад +3

      @@SkyPerspective the HP model was E27u with USB-C. Main reason for returning is I have had a few replacements, but seems there is light bleeding and “one side warmer than the other side” issue. I know it’s common in IPS but I just don’t like it.
      - In HP there is no audio jack - very inconvenient. It’s also 6 bit FRC not real 8 bit.
      - Dell’s maximum brightness is 350 nit while only 250 nit for HP
      - Price wise HP cost me $470 (corporate discount) and Dell cost me $331 (after eBay voucher) so Dell is definitely of much better value.
      - I especially like Dell’s display manager which lets you easily adjust brightness and contrast using your mouse.
      Never a Dell fan but now changing my mind!!!

      Hi Kenny, If you don't have a USB-C port on your laptop, you can connect using HDMI assuming you have HDMI port on your laptop? What's the port available on your laptop? If VGA port, then you may want to consider getting the SE series like the SE2422H ( ruclips.net/video/GONBftEJTTo/видео.html )
      Yes, if you don't really make use of the USB-C port to expand your peripherals, then no point getting this S2722DC if you can get the S2721DS at a cheaper price. However, you may also want to consider if your will be upgrading your laptop during the lifespan of you using your new monitor. Your next laptop most likely will have a USB-C (charging) port, then the USB-C port on S2722DC will come in handy.
      I purchased all my monitors from Dell Australia website (when they are on discount) and they post the monitors to me. Really convenient, and they have a record for my warranty.

I have used it to create thumbnails for my RUclips video and the colours are quite accurate when I see the same picture on my other devices such as my beautiful Samsung s21 screen and galaxy tab s6 tablet. Depends on what you need from a "docking station". However, you cannot plug in other monitors to this monitor like a docking station. And it doesn't have a RJ45 ethernet port like some docking station has. Hope this helps.
