You're missing out on the Combat Drones. The 3rd gen ones right before the Corvettes decimate the fog bases in no time. Also you can stick a 100 stack of them in Icarus's hanger and they auto spawn as they die, also and, they go in the Battlefield towers.
7:20 In the game i`m currently playing, the darkfog space base gets as close as 0.10 Au from one of the planet i´m building on. Nothing will happen, as long as you don´t agitate them. Also did you know that you can carry infinite amount of a single item in your hand? like taking 50.000 Titanium with you back in your hand.
I recommend liberating all the worlds, and chip away at the hives afterwards. As if the dark fog is deprived of its resources then they can't replenish their forces
Hi Kibitz, love watching your stuff. Not sure if you know but after destroying a dark fog base you can put a geothermal generator over the hole instead of capping it with foundations. Great way of getting lots of power on planets that don't have oil or coal.
Wondering when master kibitz finds out you can literally draw a guiding line to the planet you want to fly to, by clicking on it in the galaxy map and click on the icon beneath the magnifying glasses 🔍. 🤔
Ya tempted me into this game, and i'm now in my first Newbie Playthrough as of the time of this Comment. I've died 3 times thus far, all 3 derping at my first Enemy Base Assault trying to figure out how to actually READ my HUD and tell when my Icarus is actually getting in danger, but eventually my Missiles prevailed and i'm now just blowing up the Base over and over and over to farm it and harvested all the loose foliage and rocks around it partially for greed and partially to BM the enemy. (I'm pleasantly surprised how much Titanium the World Map Rocks are donating to me...) I'm holding out till I unlock Geothermal Power cause I read a Comment on this or one of the prior Vids that the Geothermal Power Building works in the Base Remains Hole at making power plus sealing the Base from rebuildability thus working as extra greed power and the Enemy Base Deathblow simultaneously and I wanna see if that really works. If it does, sealing the hole with Foundation will never feel like a good idea and just feel like Gauntlet Game Series-style "Shooting the Food". P.S. How do I find out how much Soil i've farmed...? Don't understand why this is being so hard to find in the Interface stuffs. 😕
I'm going to guess that Kibs is not going to get to the fidget spinner drones until well past the their main usefulness zone. A bit of a shame that, they're fairly good trainers for the logistic towers and help ease the heavy spaget before them.
You can always use them after you've setup a robust network, just so you can things delivered to you if and when you need them, without running around to find them
Pro tip: if you deploy your ships and let them destroy the relays first, after a few minutes all the bases lose power and shut down. Makes it far easier to deal with the enemy units and never have to worry about the turrets
Cant wait to see more of your videos. Just like watching all of your satisfactory videos since Ep1! In love with your videos please keep up the waazoo work!
So, plasma orbs + corvettes, then annihilation orbs + corvettes allows you to decimate DF in any context. Throw in some DF magma power, laser turrets and a planetary shield system and you can neuter a planet pretty fast. Just make sure you takeout the relays with the fleet then wait for the planetside stations to lose power before ya start. I tend to play at maximum DF settings... which makes the DF a pretty good source of resources. Just need a bunch of splitters and a sushi belt to sort it all.
I want an RTS game like this, make your home planet base, collect the materials, mke a base, armies conquer the planet and then invade others that will be amazing.
I'm surprised you didn't ctrl+left clicked all the titanium ingots from each storage box to the mouse and just hauled all the titanium ingots in one go without having the space in your inventory. Just don't right click while you are in space. Remember to pin the home planet for your flights, so you don't right click by accident. Looks great and I'm glad to see these videos.
You can shift or alt click the titanium to carry more on your cursor. So long as you don’t click anything when going back and forth between planets you can carry as much as you want.
I've accidentally dropped them doing this though. I think it bugged on an autosave and ejected a stack of thousands of silicon from my hand at 1000m/s. Luckily it hit the planet I was going to
kibitz you can customize your mech click the mech panel thing on the Hud then there is a button that says "customize" its the panel with the fuel insert in it
ImKibitz, did you know that if you mine the rocks themselves on the planet, you get a fairly good drop rate of titanium and silicon ore? That way you can build some things that require either of those before you leave the planet.
Farm the dark fog once the research is unlocked. You can get most materials needed for a long time without leaving the starting planet, it's slow, but works.
If you watch his Satisfactory videos, he pronounces 'caterium' as 'Kate' instead of 'cat', despite the makers of the game demonstrating the pronunciation. He seems to have trouble pronouncing words, but I suppose the example of 'silicon' is a more common one.
Also i think plasma cannons will shoot the space hive when it gets super close like at the start of the video but thats hearsay ive never made a plasma cannon because rockets are op
It needs to be much closer, like three times at least. Then yes, if you deploy your fleet and attack the cannons can help a lot. Not that I really used it tho...
He's spaced it out a lot more than it actually needs to be. In particular the main bus with all the splitters doesn't need any space between at all, so easily could have fit in less than half the total space. Nilaus has a much better linear main bus design. It still does take quite a bit of space, but it's very easily expandable and decently fast (though just for buildings, you still need dedicated logistics systems for components). Having said that, I eventually switched to a polar sushi design for buildings over the Nilaus bus. It's a little slower and harder to build (but that's what blueprints are for), but almost as expandable and massively more compact.
If you get Signal Towers (Or what they are called I'm not very sure now) they are EXTREMELY OP They allow you to just fire at anything with every single Rocket Launcher on a planet
Would it hurt for you all to watch the video first before actually commenting about something you'd know is redundant to say if you've watched the video...?? Kibz built one about 15 minutes in....
i want to try this game but my small brain wouldn't allow me, could someone recommend something less complicated? or point to some guide to made this game looks less complicated? thank you
If you went to grab some titanium first wouldn't it have saved 80% of that space you just dedicated to belts? 😂 That's always like my top priority after the first basic mall is setup. Least everything gets so much easier once that titaniums automated.
Honestly, seeing Planetary Logistics require titanium seems wrong. I can see having it for Interstellar Logistics, but come on! You should be able to have SOME planetary logistics before you start tackling other planets. In a no-Dark Fog situation, I'm fine with it requiring titanium since there's no external threat. But with Dark Fog, the recipe should be changed.
Farm the dark fog for materials. Don't wipe them from the starting planet, set up a loot farm, collect materials, unlock research and you can get most of what you need without leaving the starting planet.
Hey kibz, I don't know if it's just me but i feel that the videos are too lengthy. I'm not saying to you cut out more of the raw footage, just to go for a 20 min goal (or even less) for each episode. That can also help with the uploading. Anyways, keep up with the great work!
It's not the same design, and given some of the flaws in this design it's most likely Kibz did design it himself without even being aware of the other. Main bus designs are a pretty common outgrowth from Factorio after all.
@@Mirality Nah, it’s too close to Nilaus’ design for that to be plausible. The bus being on a layer up and using the double decker splitters to peel off resources at a right angle are like 95% of the concept. The flaws you mention are probably just because Kibitz avoided the blueprints so that he didn’t have to say where he got them. Pretty shameful IMO
You're missing out on the Combat Drones. The 3rd gen ones right before the Corvettes decimate the fog bases in no time. Also you can stick a 100 stack of them in Icarus's hanger and they auto spawn as they die, also and, they go in the Battlefield towers.
You can stack your labs on top of each other btw. They automatically get their matrices from the inserters connecting to the bottom lab
lol i don’t even want to know how many hours he’s played if he’s forgotten that
You can also stack other buildings like storage chests and tanks
I mean he did a bit in the back
I think he's planning ahead for mass production later on when he gets faster belts and sorters.
A true DSP player never forgets to stack!
Tbh, planets covered in conveyor belts and factories look like the Death Star
Shhh! You’ll anger the dark lord Sauron himself!!!!!
Yeah, and? It looks cool
It looks insane and good and I like the look of the Death Star

True, but that wouldn’t make an interesting video

0:50 violence is never the answer. It's the question and the answer is yes
"Violence is not an answer"
You are right, it's the question, but also an answer, wait it'd not an answer IT'S THE answer

Factorys they grow up so fast
Yup, just with small boop
I'm always so impressed at your ability to set up logistics
Really Can't WAIT for the next EP!
Wish you would put one up every other day (; like 3-4 a week
There's a really great middle ground between Drones and Belts. Distribution Logistic Systems, which directly tag on top of chests.
Great to have video 4am Australia time ....great start to the day...✌️❤️🙏
You can place small storage boxes on top of the filtered splitters and it will only fill up with the filtered item.

My current favourite series on RUclips, waiting for the next episode

Someone likes Nilaus’s designs…
what i was thinking
I just need a single machine making lv3 Belts. Bu Kibz needs 15 for some reason.

Giant robot landing on a planet... Like Beastie Boys "Intergalactic"
kibitz you can customize your mech
click the mech panel thing on the Hud then there is a button that says "customize"
its the panel with the fuel insert in it
Woo! Parking Structure Planet!
Darn this game is awesome. I just bought it myself, and i'm glad i arrived around the time they released the Dark Fog, i love {shooting} them so much.
Go to your maps, click on the arrow on the planet and it directs you to the planet with a line
Also you can rotate the miners...
I like trying to find my planets without just setting the directional lines to them.

Kibitz your vids are so good
I LOVE DSP!!! My favorite factory game ever! My factory got so big and built so many Dyson Spheres i had to buy a new computer that could handle it😀😀
You sir have left spaghetti and landed on ramen packs😂
Such a cool game, Loving these videos!
yess I have men waiting for weeks for this video thx :)
ive been waiting on this video for weeks!
As a welder, I have to say that it’s not pronounced siliCONE, it’s pronounced siliCON

I'd love to see a series of Prison Architect, especially with Prison Architect 2 coming soon!

LETS GOOOO A NEW EPSIODE
The bus is interesting for the mall but its frustrating because it takes a butt tonne of room and very quickly becomes useless with bots

This game looks cool as hell!
Bro flying like adam warlock
It's so neat and comfortable
you do know that their a small drone that move matts other that the spaceship right?
kibitz thats not how signal towers work... you place them out away from the base and the rockets attack anything in range...
Hey Kibz. You can click and drag blueprints.
I love your videos!!! Please play Timberbon!!!
I did it Kibz i bought it because of you are you happy with yourself. love the content
This game would be so chill without enemies, but I see how that could get boring and why defending is such a thrill.
Put the geothermal power plants on the dark fog holes
can't wait for the next episode
finally, another episode
you need to fill in the hole or they will rebuild or send more plantary bases
Wait until he finds the autopilot mod 😂
Can you share your archive? I hope to learn from it.
If you get Signal Towers (Or what they are called I'm not very sure now) they are EXTREMELY OP
They allow you to just fire at anything with every single Rocket Launcher on a planet
Also, common misconception about said signal towers: the missile turrets themselves do not need to be within the signal towers’ range to shoot
Would it hurt for you all to watch the video first before actually commenting about something you'd know is redundant to say if you've watched the video...??
Kibz built one about 15 minutes in....

or point to some guide to made this game looks less complicated?
