Prince always been proud of his blackness, even in the beginning. He did start with an afro (he was a child of the 60s and 70s after all) and toward the end of his life he went back to the afro. all of his music even sound distinctly black

The fact that I was a PRINCE LOVER and I am THE 131st person to comment on this ...so big. Stopped speaking to my brother for a while, siblings fight, make up, we lost our mom very young, then he got married and forgot he had a sister - my bro called me on the day Prince went to heaven. I know the love I had for Prince was pure. His songs helped me through so much in my life. So much pain and trauma. I am so thankful for Prince and his audacity to be as great as he is. Since Prince passed, I have seriously been on this journey of pure self awareness, self acceptance, self love, but most of all knowing my purpose. Ohhh, this is on my list of Very Best Prince Songs According To Me. Aren't these square-shaped old videos funny-looking nowadays? Sigh. I know he had his good reasons for being so anti RUclips, but I can't help but wish he had created a channel while he was here to share all these videos with us. For my own selfish reasons, of course, but also so young up and upcoming artists would have a legitimate bar to at least try to aim for!

He did start a RUclips channel about a year prior to his untimely passing, but he only loaded a few videos onto it, yet he was still rather actively pushing cease and decision orders to anyone putting up any video with Prince or any of his music in it. He ultimately wanted to load videos he wanted to show, but all of the videos we're seeing now are being loaded by his estate which is mostly controlled by his sister.

Ohhh, this is on my list of Very Best Prince Songs According To Me. Aren't these square-shaped old videos funny-looking nowadays? Sigh. I know he had his good reasons for being so anti RUclips, but I can't help but wish he had created a channel while he was here to share all these videos with us. For my own selfish reasons, of course, but also so young up and upcoming artists would have a legitimate bar to at least try to aim for!
I believe he avoided it for this very reason. It's almost like in purple rain when his dad in the movie said he didn't write down his music, but after the accident prince went through his stuff and found all his music. I kinda think it's similar.

He did start a RUclips channel about a year prior to his untimely passing, but he only loaded a few videos onto it, yet he was still rather actively pushing cease and decision orders to anyone putting up any video with Prince or any of his music in it. He ultimately wanted to load videos he wanted to show, but all of the videos we're seeing now are being loaded by his estate which is mostly controlled by his sister.
