  • What did Moses think when he saw the burning bush?
One teacher said the burning bush was only in the Bible in order to prove the idea of an "Eternal Hell" where people are burned, but not consumed. Is that really what a person reading their Bible for the first time would consider in Exodus 3 - Eternal Hell?

In the Church do you think it has cultish qualities? People ask people that lead the church what they would do or approve of instead of a person reading their Bible and making their own reasoning. I think sometimes in the church, the preacher get to involved in making decisions for people and how they should think.

The New Testament displays a plurality of eldership who are able to teach (1Tim. 3:9), and the involvement of men who are not elders (1Cor. 14:26, Eph.4:16). Deacons are commanded to be Bible students (1Tim. 3:9).
I do think that there are plenty of people complaining about local congregations that do not contribute much to the local congregation (speaking of manpower, but also monetarily too). They complain about the teaching, but they themselves could not do much better.

What do you think of Henry H. Halley’s Bible handbook.
