I think the TRI Draco (also an open back) beats the Yu Xuan Ji overall. Tri Draco has a smooth tuning and wide sound stage. i can describe its tuning being a smooth and warm and neutralish kind of tuned (Reminds me of the OG Chu). the only thing that is hindering the Draco the rolled off Subbass. overall im very happy that i chose the Draco over the Yu Xuan Ji. Edit: Yu Xuan Ji is freaking fire on the shell design 🔥🔥🔥
Really like the design choices for the shells of the Beast and the Ms. Not in love with the look of the Tangzu, and it doesn't sound like something I'd be into sound wise either. Have to love having so many decent choices at this price range though.
Hey jay currently own the 7hz sonus and find them lacking in the vocal and bass part. Are the kinera a good upgrade or would u recommend something else below 100?
I like the Truthear Gate more than the zero blue, and the zero red more than both. I was going to order a Nova ($101) but got worried it would be more like blue than red, so I ordered star city 5 for a more neutral option and IgniteX beast for a more bright V fun sound at $33, but Beast got canceled. Should I reorder beast or do you have another suggestion? I think eventually I would want something like a super Zero Red for fun and something neutral bright for studio use
i don't know i have the ew300 and i found the tuning boring and non engaging to me because they tent to be warmer side and lush .. but those tangzu seems have less bass so i more interested to give back ew300 and try those
00:30 Did you just suggest that open back implies crazy bass? Because it's the opposite in my experience. My open back headphones are almost always more airy and requires eq to get the thump in the low end.
When I saw the TANGZU Yu Xuan Ji advertised I was intrigued, 1 that it looked nice especially in the black but 2 that it was an open-back DD & unlike some other manufacturers that show a mesh & open face but then seal it under the mesh the Yu Xuan Ji looks to be open so I'm a bit gutted it hasn't opened up like advertised. I think this could be a big hit if implemented well, I hope they run with the idea even if it's in a different price bracket that will give us a really good open-back DD IEM.
Hey Jay, any good upgrades from the Nuo in the $50-100 range? I use my IEMs for vocals-only audio and found I liked the tuning on those. Male vocals (R&B like vocals)

Great advice Jay 😎! I have the Inawaken Dawn M on the way.
ahhh, i ordered tangzu and kinera a week ago. cant wait!!
Great work
Excellent comparisons my inner basshead says Dawn but I think I'll be pretty happy with the Beast too.
cant go wrong with either
Man I need to buy these Yu Xuan Ji, they would be my next beater pair maybe.

ya I can see some people getting trypophobia with the Tangzus lol
An open-black iem is a really cool concept. Hope to see more of this from another company.
Edit: The Kinera's looks gorgeous 🔥
Yeah the Kinera’s look 👌
Final e3000 is open back iem
There are a lot of Fiio IEMs that are openback...
@@xairaxboss they're kinda all mid and overpriced though.
tbf with tangzu its pretty hard to beat ew300 value
Yeah true, i prefer ew300 more
@@R0semarry_fps45 bro bronze nozzle and the MIDS ARE FUCKING UNGODLY

The kineras would be a good sidegrade, not really an upgrade

If you want fun get the EPZ Q5 Pro, zero Red is not fun it’s more neutral

tangzu is even more boring if you found the EW300 boring, tangzu is very clean and airy

No. If I cover the vents there should be more bass
Tangzu has some interesting sets but they didn't show up to SoCal Canjam.
Rip

Try EW300
@@jayyaudio Great thanks!
So new Tangzu isn't even semi open design like Letshouer DZ4?
taping the back vent restricts air to the driver, which makes LESS bass, not more.
It should make more based on this design
@@jayyaudio The way the promo pics look they mounted the freaking driver backwards.
So which one is your fav between those 3?
XUAN Ji
I3 mk3 review?
Clean, balanced, neutral-bright leaning, slight planar timbre but not much, kinda bland for me, everything is just aight, good tech
Does the separation and imaging on the Xuan Ji worth it for $50???
sure
I really like the Kinera Wyvern Abyss. Is the BeastX an upgrade?
ya a little
@@jayyaudio Thanks, Jay.
Sivga que, ew300, or yu xuan ji for the best pop n edm songs?
ew300
@@jayyaudio thankyou
Which one do you think good for fps games?
Kinera
Hi jay , Is yu xuan ji better than xuan nv? How do they compare against each other?
If you want neutral NV is better, if you want something airy the yu xuan ji is better
@ what do you mean by airy?
@@FallenChaituGamingsomething like when there is sound u can hear like it passes through air like there space, but its different from soundstage
