I just started playing but i found this one soul Jade that let’s you dodge while repairing weapons and armor, instead of the slow walking animation.. probably my favorite soul Jade rn
Just to add to the healing mid-battle portion: If you spam the crouch button while healing your character will move up and down and a bit forward while healing(this will not interrupt the healing) and it makes you harder to hit from range and keeps you on your toes/moving in case someone tries to ambush you while you're recovering. Love this game and great video!
Also in the options menu you can limit the amount of stuff you can pick with E based on number of available bag slots so now you can just run through piles of stuff spamming E and having the set amount of dust or hp or grappling hooks without worrying that you will fill your bag with one and not have the other 👍
If I had a nickel for every time I tried to chip damage two fighting teams from range, only to have both those teams declare an immediate truce and come after me, I could probably afford Naraka: Bladepoint.
I already owned the game for free since the beta. Lol. This game is great but it feels like people’s skill in this game is either incredibly good with labbed out combos on every weapon and lobotomized game journalist. There’s zero like medium skill players so it kinda gets dry unless your really dedicated to the game. Maybe it’s different when you get really deep in ranked but this is what I’ve seen.
Pretty much every battle royal game is like that it seems. There is no middle ground, no casual fun space for those that want that, but aren't terrible. So once you're not terrible, you automatically get put with super tryhards, with no middle ground and no choice. Naraka is no different in that regard.. I'm still on quick match though, haven't reached lvl50 and ranked.. But from other games, once you reach ranked, you rank up pretty fast and then you're back with the tryhards. This indicates usually that ranked is really just 2 levels, newbs and everyone else. Some games are even worse (Fortnite comes to mind), and if you're in any way decent at the game, you get put with the tryhards immediately, and almost everyone are super sweat dripping tryhards with thousand of hours.. For middle ground casual players like myself, this doesn't work out, as you can't match with players at your own mid level, despite there being many of those kind of players. And I don't want to dedicate myself to a battle royal game so much either.. Fine I'll play it quite alot, but it's still with the intent of casual play, be it at a decent level or above average.. Just not with terrible players and dedicated tryhards, but those are the only opponents you get.
This looks like a lot of fun, and I put it in my steam library immediately. I'm Looking into the games security more before I download, but woah a blade and melee heavy BR looks amazing. Edited to adjust wording so I'm not seeding misinformation rumor mills.
If you want to increase your in-game skills(mostly movement related) you can try joining a custom 3 ban room(means no skill/range/grapple), its mostly for solo players who heavily relies on their sword skills . Most people who goes in for the first time will just get massacred, that's totally normal, I got like 2-300 hours of gameplay and i still get rekt by many there. But you do get stronger by getting rekt in this game(just leave if your losing a lot without being able to land hits, that's just wasting time and won't help too much. Trio players need mostly awareness and teamwork so just play a lot of trio games and learn those abilities.
grapple trees or corners then use light attack to fly further... if the other person doesnt use this trick it lets you have a big advantage on distancing ur self to heal or dip
When it comes to dead player's inventory i think opening them also opens yours. And you can just double click e(pickup) if you want to just take the dead guy's flower asap(heals shield and hp+10% rage). as for inventory slots. when maxed:2 hp, 4-5shield, 4-5 grappling hooks, 1 weapon repair, you can also not bring any if you got a lot of weapons. you can also try to look slightly downward, forgot the theory behind it but it helps and i saw many gud players do so. Also try to dodge more often, dodging is actually more useful and less risky compared to many other actions(such as parrying). Try not to roll if you want to dodge twice. Holding focus is also very useful(focusing an attack), it lets you get superarmor(over normal attacks) and you can strike right after he attacks you with a normal cuz you wont be staggered(dont have to unleash a focus attack)

You can double tap E right next to a corpse to quicky grab the soul essence, I do it every time even mid combat except if you have low tier armor you grab their armor then soul to charge the new armor and heal yourself

I always keep an empty weapon slot open, so when i parry the enemy i can pick up their weapon before they do. 1. sometimes it's a better quality than yours and u can now use it yourself 2. it's probably their preferred weapon to fight with/they have a strong soul jade for it and now they can't use it 3. If they don't have a good quality back up then you might have saved yourself from a gold/purple quality ult attack from the enemy

Folks've been gabbing about Destiny's death for about as long as D2 has existed tbf but you know that push has really come to shove when its community creators are jumping ship en masse. Can't imagine Bungie's speculators taking in the ongoings on RUclips and Twitch and still not panicking at least a modest bit.
Definitely a pro tip: Look at all the heroes alts/ultimates before starting a match. Everyone you can pick has different ults that allow them to turn the tide of a battle. That being said, don't sleep on Viper Nig players.
I honestly feel people are toying with me who are on pc. I’m on console. I was literally 1v1 and it was like they were sipping wine and not even worried. I consider myself semi good, it’s just those crazy high ranked PC players who go crazy
You can try spamming the crouch button or the letter "C" on PC while regenerating health or armor. Your character will be difficult to hit, and your movements are fast.
I prefer item > souljade bags for more grapple hooks (24 or 30 limit) early on for lockdown and movement. You can also find bags from looting treasure troves
You should try out other games. I was once addicted and when I started enjoying a variety of games, I realized how awesome other games are. Rather than nonstop grinding for loot lol

The target lock in this game is dog sht(oh but guess what) when you try to run from an enemy all a sudden your target lock is amazing and you keep focusing the enemy instead of running away
It's a fun game, but sadly it has a bit the same problem as Tekken. It seems all about getting people into a stunlock, which seems pretty counter to the game intention. But it's nonetheless a weakness in the game that people seek to exploit, and it makes the game much less interesting. This makes me always want to chose heroes with abilities that can get away from a stunlock, which again limit the choices. I hope they can do something to improve that situation.

Me and a couple mates played this for a bit, we sorta fell off we we couldn’t tell if we were in bot lobbies or not. Even in comp we were killing 1/2 the lobby.
That's why I stopped playing. It was mostly bots. Great game though. Been saying it should be free to play for a while, so hopefully that changes things.
I beieve it's by design. The fresher your account, the more bots there wilol be in the match. It's designed that way I beieve so that newer players to the game and genre can ease into actual matches and the like. As your account levels up, more people (and more skiled people at that) will be in those lobbies. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I got this info directly from the game itself. A loading scree tip.
@@OnAMoonlitPath That's how it's supposed to work, but there just isn't a playerbase. I was in the highest rank tier and it was still almost all bots, especially if you're on late at night. It should get better with ps5 and FTP but I don't know by how much. Even PC doesn't have a healthy pbase, you see them queuing for 15 minutes or longer during peak hours and then starting with only 35 people lobbies AND there's still bots when you have bot fill off. The game's great but there's no marketing, so no playerbase. Hopefully it changes.
Actually, there is an option to reduce the chance/number of bots in the game.. Don't remember the name of the option, but once I switched it, it changed, and now it's mostly human players. You can notice the bots on their behaviour in the game generally. It's not so difficult to tell the difference between a bot and a regular player. If you turn the bots off generally (with the option), the matchmaking will take a bit longer, but the game will be more enjoyable. Bots also depend on your level I think, the ones you meet in the beginning are ridiculously weak, but the ones you get at a higher level have a kind of annoyingly perfect timing (counter etc) in fights, but it's their behaviour that still gives them away.
when healing spam C, crouch dodging makes you move faster and harder to hit and see when healing. also hold a blue attack and dodge cancel out of it early repeatedly to move quickly.
Does the game feel good? The tutorial and movement on console felt quite clunky, and the combat seemed like it would be quite repetitive. I was pretty majorly turned off by that immediately. Maybe it feels better in game though🤷
You're fucked if you don't have back paddles, but the movement and combat are really good. Extremely high skill ceiling. Look up PastDue or c7sper if you want to see what people can really do with combos.
As with actual fighting games, you need time to get used to the movement techs and various advanced tips of the combat. Once you've practiced the various movement and defnsive tech, the game feels really good. IMO it felt really good to lear it on PS5. I can just taste the depth of the combat and I'm only scratching the surface. Then again, I'm the type to really not mind the path to mastering a game (or gitting gud) Others may not have the patience and it may not be the game for them. However, there's a fun PvE mode and you can go against bots in the actual BR mode. Easy Medium and Hard settings for the bots. This also allows you to progress your level and get treasure and stuff too so it won't lock you out of prgression just cuz you arent fighting humans.
It's pretty good for a battle royal game. Battle royal games generally have super clunky and primitive game mechanics and combat, but Naraka seems a bit of an exception to that rule.

Gave them to a charity shop, because nobody is going to buy 28 year old science textbooks. But I spent a lot of money on them! Games get cheaper after release. This one has gone cheap as free. No doubt a sensible choice for a PvP game since it needs a player base to keep going. They have some weird campaign mode that only runs on weekends. It's really about the battle royale multiplayer. You can run bot only lobbies tho.

Does the game feel good? The tutorial and movement on console felt quite clunky, and the combat seemed like it would be quite repetitive. I was pretty majorly turned off by that immediately. Maybe it feels better in game though🤷
You're fucked if you don't have back paddles, but the movement and combat are really good. Extremely high skill ceiling. Look up PastDue or c7sper if you want to see what people can really do with combos.
Gets better as u get used to it
As with actual fighting games, you need time to get used to the movement techs and various advanced tips of the combat. Once you've practiced the various movement and defnsive tech, the game feels really good. IMO it felt really good to lear it on PS5. I can just taste the depth of the combat and I'm only scratching the surface. Then again, I'm the type to really not mind the path to mastering a game (or gitting gud) Others may not have the patience and it may not be the game for them.
However, there's a fun PvE mode and you can go against bots in the actual BR mode. Easy Medium and Hard settings for the bots. This also allows you to progress your level and get treasure and stuff too so it won't lock you out of prgression just cuz you arent fighting humans.
@ninatote6426 Use quick parry button. Can only parry blue attacks. Gotta either try to predict them or react very quickly.
It's pretty good for a battle royal game. Battle royal games generally have super clunky and primitive game mechanics and combat, but Naraka seems a bit of an exception to that rule.

Games get cheaper after release. This one has gone cheap as free. No doubt a sensible choice for a PvP game since it needs a player base to keep going. This move will ensure that the game you spent your money on will continue to provide you with joy by maintaining player numbers.
Nice video. I would also add to change the aim assist in console to low, because by default is on high, making impossible to land headshots.
