The Hunter one needs it bad. The Titan one is ugly but it's not as massive and horrible looking as the hunter class item. I despise the Hunter class item, it looks horrible with my Spartan ornaments.
Love how the way they address the vault it is by telling you we will add it to their focus... next year.

They want the new player experience to be the focus, and if they do anything for newbies, elitist snobs lose their shit because the game is no longer fun. Hours complaining that the exotic class is annoying because they have to run a quest 100s of times. But praise bungie for making them run a different quest 100s of times to get different armor..
I loved the game, but people complaining about everything is so damn annoying. Look they even got me complaining about aholes complaining.

Yeah that's what they are doing, not now but in a year, not only are they sunsetting but they are reaching into your vault and retooling the perks to meet the new standard. So if you had a 100 that was using not one of the primary stats on that armor and that armor for instance fall into brawler then you get melee (strength), super (int), resilience the other stats are thrown out. You grinded this now they grind your vault.
It's amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. I've come back after not playing for 2 years and had just finished crafting good builds for each class, I even had a triple 100 for the Getaway Artist build, so just thinking about farming all that shit again and rebalancing stats using DIM kinda breaks me. I really hope the new set bonuses are worth it and it's not a chore to farm them. I'm optimistic but not excited, I think that's sums it up how I feel.

Use d2 armor picker to make builds instead of dim’s. It saves so much trouble as is very coherent. Look into it, d2 armor picker
Your whole statement explains why they did this…you are never supposed to finish. Unless, you don’t grind. A new approach, play only when you think it is fun. Never play as a grind.

Yeah, you are totally right. It's easy to get caught up in the "grindset". I took a break at the end of the season to play HollowKnight. I'm not sure when I'll come back but I won't be playing nearly as much as I was before. A lot of the grind I had to do was just to catch up, now that that's out of the way I can play at a slower pace.

1. You'll still be at the mercy of Bungies rigged RNG.
2. If this idea ever works, there'll be nerfs on a biblical scale after a few weeks.
3. This will totally destroy an already ruined PvP.
4. Every time Bungie screws around with fundamental structures to the game, it always ends in tons of bugs, glitches and downtime.
Why don't they just leave everything alone and just create new and imaginitive content?
They want player engagement then make good content, my point exactly! Don't just sunset our vault and tell us to grind out more stuff cause new players couldn't be bothered. Such a lazy way to farm engagement.

Farming endlessly as in just using a ghost armor mod and decrypting armor at failsafe? I literally got triple hundreds on my hunter in 10 minutes
What do you mean "we don't know what it does?" He was using it that whole time in the gameplay. When you throw down a bleakwatcher, it creates a slowing pool and three stasis crystals around it!

Looks like some of the old exotic armor I have that can't be masterworked. This is a way to maximize our grind with as little effort as they can give. I have all build slots full on all 3 toons and they say we use the same armor all the time. Pshhhh
Yeah just not the good stuff, need them to recycle a few legendarys like hunger of crota and I need Prison of Elders back. I want Skolas to breathe down my neck again as he teleports about the room.
They NEED to have saved Rolls for Weapons and Armor in our collection, right now the collection is WORTHLESS and IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE! Also Rick is SO RIGHT my vault is ALWAYS maxed because YOU NEVER KNOW what you need and when and scrapping a weapon or armor to end up needing it after an update is A BAD FEELING, especially after they allowed us to infuse Sunset weapons there are at LEAST a dozen or so weapons I would have been using right now from previous years that I scrapped because of space luckily, I NEVER scrapped my Subtle Calamity, but I miss my Last Hope and Temporal Clause
Kack, if the server needs to store your god roll for each weapon, that's the same as storing that information in your vault as in your collection.

For those of us who don't play Destiny 2 for a living this is going to be a pain in the a$$. Farming for high stat and artifice armor over the years to have it made obsolete is less than stellar. Grinding again for good meaningful armor to play Bungie's constantly shifting numbers game is no longer appealing to me. If enough people get something good Bungie just changes the numbers again and again. Its an endless loop. Im glad you're excited Rick.

Dont mind about grinding for new armour only hope they dont mess up the set bonuses keep them all similar strengths or its just going to be everyone grinding the same thing over and over and thats what kills it for me
People already do that it's called meta lol wish they would just take a hammer to the whole thing it really kills the game.

I think they meant you will just get a chances for a second instant charged melee refunded. Not really throwing two charges melee at the same time.
This game is aids for the casual player.
Armour in Destiny is largely obsolete anyway once you have the stats you want. Prismatic class items buried an already largely dead aspect of the game.

Yeah, I'm done grinding for armour ... the 4 times they changed things was enough. Now, it is making buildings even more confusing ... nope, not interested ffs.
That. Plus they seem to "know" that we the players find the present system confusing. We dont. Its not so hard to understand and like you say if you keep changing stuff no one will ever understand it. I start to believe that they change things on purpose, so that we keep playing and keep buying stuff. Heres the surprise: we dont. We leave the game if they keep taking away what we have grinding for.

This is good for new people, the OGs have worked countless seasons to get the gear they have...this could really piss some of them off....my prediction is the old guys may leave.
Well they ain’t getting new players due to the new player experience being absolute dog water so this only makes og fans annoyed, which is great at a time where player moral and count is at an all time low.
Streamers are going to love this new armor change cause of all the build videos they can produce. But us old heads who farmed up all the good armor (me) hate it. Again!?! Really, sunsetting again. This time with armor I had to farm out of dungeons, soltice, raids, IB. Years of work to get the best stats on all my toons all down the drain to appease to noobs. Thats right this change as stated from bungo is all for the noobs who can't refuse or just don't farm. So now we are supposed to go grind all this up not cause we want too but cause we now have too? Lazy engagement, if you want people to play your game, put out content. Don't just sunset everything and tell the players to get farming again. Not cool. Also, now you will be farming for what you could place into a armor socket? So I will need to farm out a pvp multiple pvp rolls and multiple pve rolls. Oh you want special ammo you need the special / heavy ammo armor not just swap out 1 or 2 mods. Also, those trash stats or garbage dump what ever you want to call the extra not 3 main stats on armor are used and rolled for to get 100's in other stats, also gone. Could it be done retroactively sure could they have done things to items in our possession and vaults before changing mods perks ect they could do that to all our current armor but they won't. Cause they want you on the game in the game all day, if you want that level of attention from your players make better content. They gonna reach in and make our old armor completely trash vs reaching in and making it relevant. Right there should tell you all you need to know. They don't respect the players time put into the game.

I think I'm done with D2. My PS subscription is up, and I don't plan on renewing it. I grinded too hard to get the best exotic stat rolls. I don't think I can grind my exotics all over again. It also took me 3+ years to get the best triple 100 armor rolls. I just can't stomach doing this all over again.

So far i have 20+ hemls, arms, chests and boots with stats of 66+ just to have the possibility to switch to perfect builds, in case i need to max some stats and i've spend thousands of hours farming it and now ..... GG
This is only good for noobs, that have max 1x100 or even not that and have no diea how to farm high stat armor/artifice
We all know how much effort it takes to farm artifice armor with a decent roll and now all of this is in the trash
Those updates are making the gring for items all over again, not just weapons , bit this time armor as well.
I have nothing in mind grinding for new weapons and armor, if i am playing a new game, but to do the same activities, which i already did 1000 times, just to update all my gear is harsh...
They should give us the ability to put legendary ornaments on any exotic armor

I agree, took me thousands of hours to accumulate the high stat armors that I have. This armor sunsetting is the end for me as well.
@@thekemosabe346 What Bungie needs to do, is retain the power of the old armor, while providing the new armor as an option for those interested in building that up. In other words, don't change the old armor, allowing triple 100's to be competitive with the new.
This would allow people to retain their old builds for as long as they want and try out the new armor when they've got a full set.

Last time they made an armor change they gave us an updated set💯.
For me it’s craftable armor or bust. All those changes may be great but if I still have to keep multiple copies for each character then it won’t change much.
I could be wrong but I think most people would be happy with one set of armor for PvE/PvP and just be able to customize it. No more more armor drops, just things like cool ornaments to complete sets. We should only be grinding for the highest total stat armor with whatever bonus you want and you can distribute those stats however you want.
Not gonna make much difference if they keep the current drop rates. 4 runs on VOG and I have like 6 helmets and no chest piece. Just more stuff to grind for and no room for storage. That's gonna drive both new players and veterans away.
With regards to vault space,
There are two access points for the vault at the tower,
Why not make the left vault (closer to Shaxx) an armour vault, and the other (closer to Rahool) only weapons, keep the vault space/size as it is now but essentially we'd have double. Then just add an extra vault access point in each the pale heart, helm, neomuna, and enclave etc.
Would also make organising them easier for us too the armour could be sorted by Set.

None of this addresses any major problems. None of this is gonna convine anyone to comeback or entice new players to start playing all a lot this will do is drive more player away cause they just changing shit around & not addressing anything important. Ah…so Bungie is going the Diablo/Warframe route with armor. After seeing this livestream, the new game director (who took Joe’s job) has a lot of ideas, but they seem fantasy in a game that’s 10 years old. Post 100 stats to have 4-5 ability charges on characters??? You are breaking the power in this game forget about the new exotics. Sony, Bungie you are making Destiny 3 changes all around. If you don’t overhaul the game with a re-launch or make a new engine, I don’t think his changes will come through fruition. Not perfectly. There will be bugs, imbalances. If crucible wasn’t cooked with prismatic, it definitely is now with the armor sets bonuses and 100+ abilities. Either have different teams for balance or remove PVP from the game entirely. It’s still not enough for me, I want, a, new, numbered, tittle. The end.
About time they changed the armor perks to bad it took them too long to do it most gamers have quit playing destiny and moved on
I agree 100%. At this time build crafting is one of the funnest aspects of Destiny as a whole. And it sounds like they're just going to give us more and more options which is phenomenal in my book. Change is what keeps things interesting.

The perks are enticing, I'm kinda stoked for this change. It'll be nice to not have to rely on D2Armor to avoid the math necessary to build craft now.

6:04 Improve specific weak stats that offer little value. I hope this means that Bungie will finally give mobility more value than just be a faster way to get your dodge. The other two stats have double the importance and value. Resilience for Titans give them a higher HP and survivability and their Barricade back. With Recov Warlocks gain your health and rift faster. Both classes don’t need to invest any kind points to mobility and that doesn’t affect them at all.
Bungie needs to hire a different armor designer. Since D1, all the gear has been ugly, especially the Warlock helmet. I've always thought the Warlock helmet looked like a school bus camera.
And everything should just be an ornament
They need to address the vault issue sooner rather than later. I have like one of every item and I'm slap full.
I can agree with people about doing consistent grinds for stuff, first I had three different armor sets for my different subclasses then I deleted those when bungie got rid of that. Now it’s going to be the same with new stat bonuses. I’m going to have multiple sets of armor for different builds because I need to use the built in stats? Why do we try then.

Literally Bungie just made our armor and the near future armor dudu. Talk about making people wanting to grind your game. The Specialty Armor sounds like a fun idea. Talk about making some The Divison 2 game changes. 😂 I hope this is the beginning of transforming D2 into a new game, say a D 2.5 or a D3.
As a PcP player that mad it his endgame to get perfect armor with no wasted that i am scared. I am super proud of the stats on my builds and this will just destroy pvp again. It's like they don't even think about PvP ever, when creating these changes.

Your armor isn't obsolete. You're litterally going to be getting better armor in the new Episode, so you have a few options. You could
A: Being a normal person and slowly swapping out your armor with the new ones, improving your armor over time.
B: Complain about them making changes to the game when you dont even play the game anymore.
C: Shut. Just Shush. Stop criticizing before something comes out. Just wait, like a good little credit card swiper.
They should aim at overhauling whole new experience for new player to get new player base with one or two dlc for free, then definitely better explanation on which dlc should be played in sucsetion. So new players don't feel lost.
If all armor will be obsolete next year that's just stop sigh for me not buy anymore seasons until then. And just watch story on yt for now. Thx

The problem with Destiny 2 is the game needs to be simple (not the same as easy). Otherwise you alienate new players which is what D2 needs.
Stats on class items sounds like hell for my vault
I hope they have a lot more exciting stat bonuses than that. Also, in the .00001% change bungie reads this comment, For vault space, make a system like the weapon crafter but more advanced for armor. If I get a vanguard piece of armor and its stat 64, I can go back and craft that item up to 64 points in the armor, but say that original armor only had 10 intellect then I can only craft it up to 10 intellect. So if I dismantle a 65 armor and 11 intellect I can now craft that armor up to 65 points but only 11 intellect. But lets make this more advanced, think red border weapons, I have to dismantle 15 of that armor to craft or something, then on top of that, I can rank up that armor by actually wearing it, any by ranking it up, every 1 rank I can put 1 point into 1 of the 6 stats on the armor. Making this a more grinding leveling. It gives multiple avenues of approach to building armor sets. This is also from what I know, a unique approach to crafting that you have already kind of started with weapons. Frankly after leveling a weapon past 10 grants you? nothing.... make bonuses on weapons for leveling them.
Just ideas. I'm a casual player but a D1 Day 1 player, But even I get bored with the grind, because its all vanilla.

It is not words like "discipline" that makes the game dense, it is where they say go play this activity and omit all of the conditions for the activity to be accomplished!
And things like "desperate measures" that I played through but still have not "accomplished" because the game was bugged at the time. (And that is one mission I am not bothering to play again)
Vault space, easy: let us reacquire items from collections - (I have said this for a while)
I think that the armor change is a good idea. Once you get your stats up, there really is no incentive to wear the new gear they release each season. More rep with the vendor? - No thank you. A little grind is always good in a looting game, and having the same gear for years with no upgrades gets stale. I see this as something fresh and will get the players back in the grind, just in a good way.
Watching the bungie live I said the same thing, unless they add set bonuses to all current armor everyones armor just became useless which is kinda wild to me, we all know the destiny community and they will be upset about it. I mean I haven't personally grinded for armor since solstice years ago so I won't mind grinding for new ones with bonuses but I can absolutely understand people getting upset.
okay here comes the problem, as a student living in a dorm, i have absolutely no way of playing destiny other than saturday maybe. this shitty change may get me out of destiny because yea i just don't have the time to farm for armor

This sounds super confusing but super cool all at the same time also I don’t know if I’m the only person but I don’t really build craft it just feel like a giant math problem to try to figure out the best so I just keep all of my fragments and perks the same now if you have a really good and fun looking build I sometimes try to copy it and use it

They should, let you distribute stat points as needed.
That's a good idea, have a way that you can increase the stats and chang the perks. You know after you lvl it up a bit.
The "god roll archive" thing sounds neat, but what if they combined it with farming/grinding. Like you have to farm/grind for drops and dismantle them if they suck BUT you can go to the crafting table and pick the perks you want and craft your "god roll" 🤔🤷🏻 16:50

I believe this will to grow/please the player base over time and we’ll be thankful. 10 power cap is obvious for competing raids/dungeons (I could be wrong with this statement) but I get giving the “elitist” a harder bit to chew. Vault spave shouldnt even be a problem. Your telling me someone cant produce a third party app like dim where we can store all of our stuff in there like a locker with unlimited space snd clean out our entire vault in game? We already use dim to wasily access our stuff im sure someone can develop a locker function! Or better yet just make every single gun in the game craftable then we wouldnt have to worry sbout vault space. Its not that difficult. All these changes could have been made years ago, why now? Destiny is was essentially over.
