Har a lot of fun with this back in the day. I thought it was very creative. Back then ya got a game and you played it enough to figure out out.. you didnt have every game at your. disposal. Drives me nuts how feeling critical they are.. especially knowing they have played so many games that ya gotta figure out.. like Mike loves zelda and when that came out if you didn't have Nintendo power or whatever you'd never in a million years know where the secret caves were and where to put a bomb to open up an area.. yet it's the best game of all time. Haha come on guys. Just play the game and if you need some tips get online and see what you have to do since you dont have a manual.

How serious and tired Mike gets makes me laugh at how frustrating this game is. I also love how much effort Mike put in to understand this game enough to explain it, and he explained it pretty well. James was able to understand it too, which was impressive in it's own right. All in all skills were shown here.
Fun fact: The programmer for Bart's Nightmare, Bill Williams, called the game "Bill's Nightmare" because he hated working on it so much. I wonder how much control he had over this game. I know that Alley Cat and Mind Walker and Necromancer, games he developed, mixed different gameplay styles together, kinda like how this game does. But those games had good play control and mechanics, and this doesn't.

It's a nightmare to play this shitty game! The only thing that could have made it worse is if, imagine, there existed a sequel, called "Bart's Inferno!"...... Only this time, all the effort that went in to creating that game from scratch, were done entirely by a single guy within the confines of a trap house(a run-down inner city projects' apartment complex) which the locals have taken to calling said trap house, Fucholand! Because that man who'd have inhabited the trap and who'd have created _that_ monstrosity is none other than *Fred Fuchs!!*
This was actually one of my favorite games as a kid. My mom actually liked watching me play this. She liked the music and the hilarious sound of hitting that damn saxophone. Making Homer as King Kong turn back to normal was such a satisfying feeling. Frustrating, but fun for me.

The sheer relief of Mike's, when he has finally beaten the game, is only comparable to the relief of a tortured man who lived long enough to be freed from captivity, and brought home.
It's like Mike is like a mad scientist after discovering something, spent hours working on it, no sleep....almost going insane thinking about it. Great to to see the return 😃

Bart's shooting spitballs, not pits or seeds, spitballs were a hall mark of a trouble making kid in the 80's/90s. This is actually one of the better games on the snes (far from the best though), really glad to see you guys made a chapter 2 for it.

Seasons 3-8 will ALWAYS be regarded as the proverbial "golden years" among Simpsons die hards. Other seasons had their moments for sure, but the overall quality, cleverness, creativeness, quotability, and simply memorability will NEVER be as strong as those 6 seasons. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have a pretty traumatic memory regarding this game. When I was a kid, my grandmother kept an NES at her house for me and my cousins. This was one of the (very few) games she had. One day, the cartridge wouldn't work, so I asked my grandmother to fix it. She accomplished this by "cleaning it out" with her long, yellow toenails. I haven't been the same person since.
The hardest part of the entire game wasn’t the main street scene - it was the damn Indiana Jones level, for those who know the game... that was the worst and most difficult part

I played this and Virtual Bart all the time when I was a kid.
Virtual Bart was one of my favorites to rent. Something about that game, it was frustratingly addictive!
