This is so crazy for me, where i live tattoo artists charge around 27 dollars per hour. I went to get tattoed last month with a dude that had like 10 year experience, he charged me 80 dollars for a 4 hour piece. I now understand why so many of them travel to the USA to tattoo during summer 🥺
my shop chargest130-180 depending on what artists you have, im sure a large portion of that goes to the shop itself not the artist. but 20 bucks an hour for a tattoo is crazy lol!
yeah literally, especially bc ive seen some of these ppl in other videos judging people for not having enough money to pay for rly good work basically insinuating they dont deserve to have tattoos bc theyre poor. must be easy when you got so many great pieces for free and didnt have to worry about paying your bills to get one.
About $3000 not including tips for 11 tats and counting. The most being a thigh piece that was $900 over 3 sessions without tip. I do tip and appropriately because they are providing a service. An intimate one that creates an experience. It’s really all priceless.
Agreed. Being a tattoo artist takes up way more of your time than people realize, and you have to create your own style and have great technical skill if you want to make yourself stand out in the industry.

Total spent is around $3,500. Value now is probably close to double that because my artist has jumped in popularity and his rates and time has increased in value. Luckily I got in early and I'm grandfathered in to his original rate of $100 an hour
I have 25 tattoos, my small ones are £50 each at the shop, then my cousin has done a few larger ones, so I get family rates on those. My most expensive tattoos are obviously the bigger ones, one was £500, the other £650, so I'd say £2500-£3000. And I'm not stopping anytime soon!

I have the bulk of my forearm now covered by 3 pieces that cost me 370 including tip, I'm going back soon to get work done on the underside of my forearm and flesh out the background for my forearm sleeve and probably need to set another appointment for that, I expect at the end of it all, probably have over 1k in ink done.
I think a lot of these artist who got them for free got them when they were young and they were probably traded or from inexperienced tattoo artists. I think they still have to pay for good work eventually.

I don't have a single free tattoo. I have a sick and poke I did myself on my arm when I was bored at work but it's shit. One day I hope to have the tattoos I want plus to do tattoos that other attest come up with! I swear my biggest dream is to be able to have an artist do whatever they want in a certain theme.

First, cost ≠ worth. Second, tattoos are not, generally speakable, exchangeable commodities. No matter what we pay for them, they only truly have personal worth.
I''m just under 4k for 12 tattoos, plus 1800 for a full laser removal =[ don't do full removal kiddos, just get it faded enough to to cover it with an artist you trust, unless it's an area where full removal is necessary.
