    If you get your hands on a JD 650 or 750 tractor I'd love to see the same video. As I'm sure you know, there is a world of difference with the injectors. My 750 is wet stacking and my local JD mechanic wants $750 to replace them. A bit more than I'm willing to plunk down right now (or in the foreseeable future). As always, thanks for a great video......and please, please ignore the ignorant barbs thrown your way in the comments. Just remember that those that can do and those that can't just complain about those that can. Keep on wrenching lady!

    • @svtirefire
      @svtirefire 4 года назад +1

      I just replaced injectors on my 750. It's really pretty simple. I bought injectors from Hoye for $83 each. Replace the washers that go under the injectors too, and new copper washers that go on the return line banjo fittings. If your injectors are stuck in the head, Hoye has a rental tool to pull them out. Mine were originals but came right out without the puller tool, just a little twist and pull.

    • @svtirefire
      @svtirefire 4 года назад +1

      (6) Copper washers CH12807, about $0.79 each from Deere
      (3) injectors from Hoye, HIA-4060 $83.48 each
      (3) injector insulator washer from Hoye, HIW-3854 $2.99 each
      Injector removal tool if you need it, $88.86 to buy it from Hoye, or $15 if you borrow and send it back

    Did application engineering work on these Stanadyne fuel systems for Deere 300 Series engines in the 1970’s.
    You may want to caution viewers keep hands, fingers, etc. away from the injector tip while “popping” it on a test stand to avoid injury. The 3200 / 3700 opening pressures can easily inject test oil under the skin.
    And to add a little detail to what characteristics a service shop would check; it’s opening pressure, “chatter”, seat leakage and return leakage.

    Pro Tip: O-Rings and such can be lubricated with DOT-3 brake fluid. Makes reassembly much easier and keeps the seals from being damaged. Nitrile gloves are recommended - brake fluid does odd things to skin.

    With total respect , I have to say ... I love this girl . She is motivated , intelligent , hard working and pretty , that also fixes tractors . That my friend is the perfect woman . Rachael and her Husband are no doubt very successful , because they think outside of the box . My Sweetheart is finally coming around because sometimes you just need a helping hand . She also is a good mechanic because being a woman she see's further into it and says ... Why don't you try it like this . Hmmmm , never thought about doing it that way , Bam . It worked and I am up and running . The man is the prototype with many errors . The woman is the masterpiece of God , the nurturer (fixer ) the creator . Nothing can be equivalent to a woman , She is the superior species . However most woman don't know that and they continue to follow the path of the follower . But just know , Behind every great man , there is a even greater woman , behind every great woman , not necessarily a great man .
