Many of the Super Rugby/Tri nations guys are very close despite being from different countries. Probably because they study and play each other so often. My friends cousin was in the Wallabies and after the 2011 world cup he went on holiday to the US with some All blacks.
So happy for Hoops. Felt so bad for him all these years where he was giving everything he had for that jersey while being surrounded by a team that looked like they were playing in a Saturday morning footy league. I'm not a racist, I'm Black, Xhosa speaker so I'm same tribe as Siya but none of that is important I just wanted to put it out there. What's important is I LOVE BOKS and my views are only coming from that position. OK let's go.... Siya was supposed to retired after the Lions tour. Siya is a brave guy, big heart but has not ALWAYS been at his best. Him being a captain when we won wc was immense for the country. June 2018 to July 2021 is about 3 year and Siya(Boks) has won rugby championship, world cup and b&i tour. Our previous most successful captain John Smit was captain for 2004 to 2011... That's 7 years with 2 tri-nations, world cup and b&i tour. This makes Siya a great captain and if he retires after b&i tour, at the top. The world applauds him and some gold standard of reference.....but he didn't retire.. Now the Boks are falling on same trap again. They don't know how to move on from a great team. In 2011 world cup we played with a 2007 winning team that started playing for Boks in 2002 to 2004. Now we are going to 2023 with the spine on the team that been playing top rugby since 2012. This Bok team needs fresh young blood. Rugby championship is gone. Make Lukhanyo Am/Polard the transition captains to 2023. Malherbe, Kitshoff, Nyakane, Eben, Lood, Siya, Duane, PSDT, Mostert, Le Roux, DE Klerk all great names but we not winning another world cup with them. Frans Steyn and Elton Jantjies? For real? Put in Du Preez brothers, Pollard needs a proper understudy, Damian Willemse, Curwin Bosch, Aphelele Fassi... They are grown 23-24 and talented give them experience give them confidence to compete for Boks position. Gosh.

I'm gonna say some unpopular things but first let me put a disclaimer. I'm not a racist, I'm Black, Xhosa speaker so I'm same tribe as Siya but none of that is important I just wanted to put it out there. What's important is I LOVE BOKS and my views are only coming from that position.
OK let's go.... Siya was supposed to retired after the Lions tour. Siya is a brave guy, big heart but has not ALWAYS been at his best. Him being a captain when we won wc was immense for the country. June 2018 to July 2021 is about 3 year and Siya(Boks) has won rugby championship, world cup and b&i tour. Our previous most successful captain John Smit was captain for 2004 to 2011... That's 7 years with 2 tri-nations, world cup and b&i tour. This makes Siya a great captain and if he retires after b&i tour, at the top. The world applauds him and some gold standard of reference.....but he didn't retire..
Now the Boks are falling on same trap again. They don't know how to move on from a great team. In 2011 world cup we played with a 2007 winning team that started playing for Boks in 2002 to 2004. Now we are going to 2023 with the spine on the team that been playing top rugby since 2012. This Bok team needs fresh young blood. Rugby championship is gone. Make Lukhanyo Am/Polard the transition captains to 2023. Malherbe, Kitshoff, Nyakane, Eben, Lood, Siya, Duane, PSDT, Mostert, Le Roux, DE Klerk all great names but we not winning another world cup with them. Frans Steyn and Elton Jantjies? For real? Put in Du Preez brothers, Pollard needs a proper understudy, Damian Willemse, Curwin Bosch, Aphelele Fassi... They are grown 23-24 and talented give them experience give them confidence to compete for Boks position. Gosh.

@@symonyoung9388 Boks just lost 19-17. Frustrating game for me we should have capitalized on an unpolished and unclinical game from AB. Boks decision making very questionable. Coaching staff promised to work on consistency after winning world cup, not impressed, 3 loses with an AB game still coming.
