His voice and talent were amazing. I was in high school when he recorded Pete Ham of Bad Finger's "Without You." Every relationship or person you ever lost in life you can relate to through that song. And only Nilsson sang it to make its emotions real! And he won a Grammy for it too! I was going to Charlotte High in Rochester, NY and working at Woolworth's at Northgate Plaza in Greece, NY. Making $1.50 an hour, but I bought "Nilsson Schmilsson" for about $4.00 back then. Not a song on there I didn't like. And in 1969 him doing "Everybody's Talkin" for the "Midnight Cowboy" music theme, and "Me and My Arrow." Wow, 50+ years ago. Had the 50th Class Reunion last August and Harry's songs remain the same!

Nilsson damaged his voice in a drunken, screaming contest to see who could scream the loudest, between himself and John Lennon. John Lennon was the worst producer, ever!

John Lennon was an alcoholic and heroin addict.., that may explain his producing skills…

Lennon was a terrible influence, who leeched techniques from Harry, envied him, and intentionally ruined him. I was there. I saw it.

@@conceptor5629 Lennon was a chronic alcoholic, a heroin addict, and I think he was at the very least, borderline schizophrenic.., choose your friends wisely.
