- For most migrants and asylum seekers, San Diego is not a final destination, it's a layover. But KPBS reporter Gustavo Solis says more migrants are choosing to stay in San Diego. And are becoming homeless.
County Supervisor Nora Vargas issued the following statement about ongoing efforts to open a Migrant Transition Day Center: “This center is designed to provide dignified and humane assistance, including essential resources such as food, clothing, and crucial information to safely guide asylum-seekers to their intended destinations.”
All these Young People, why don't they try to Fix their own Countries?

I feel for anyone in that situation but if you are complaining about food and that it is either too spicy or too bland then you really aren't that hungry or destitute.

what did they expect coming to a country full of homeless people? No money, no English, No education, no job skills. How did they expect to live? oh they expected us tax payers to pay their way.
They know this country has welfare so they want to capitalize on it. Especially the single mom with all the kids. No way could she support them in her country but she can get assistance and live better here.
All the while immigrants in other parts of the country are living like kings and has the government pay for their rent, buys them cars, gives them phones, food etc etc and all the jobs that should go to the native-born citizens. Let's go Brandon

Why is she in the top 3 most expensive city in the country??? Why doesn't she go a few hours to LA or Riverside or anywhere near Redding or Bakersfield where there is more work. Central valley? San Diego is crazy expensive. There needs to be coordination.

Same in Denver and most if not all in Colorado. Citizens are having to move out of the state because how expensive it is.

She came with nothing but the clothes on her back and a bunch of kids. Did she expect a house, a job and free child care. I had compassion for migrants before but now I honestly think that the ones that don’t strive to make it on their own should get deported.
