This is the finest of organ-playing, JoEllen doesn't look at her feet on the pedals at all, has this entire symphony in memory, while producing this majestic performance with good selections of registration, swell pedal, etc. She has learned from masters! many thanks to all, for this performance and video! So talented and disciplined. This is one of my favorite pieces, I have played it for years. First on my cassette player, then on CD. I had difficulty learning how to do that!

MARVELOUS! Wonderful execution of the 6th Symphony and also playing it by memory! This is probably the first time hearing Widor on this Skinner Organ and it was played by an amazing organist. Are you planning on playing Widor's 5th Symphony in recital soon? If so I'cant wait to hear you wonderful interpretation on the Toccata.

Excellent performance. Also playing from memory. I've noticed that Widor's music is popular among young organists. Is his music more challenging? I've also noticed all the young female organists on YT, mainly from America. Wish you all well as you continue to play the organ. I've subscribed & hope JoEllen gets more subscibers.
His symphonies can be quite complex, but I’d say they are played often due to their palatability and significance to the French romantic era. They’re elegant, yet showy- working well both in church and in concert programs.

Congratulations. Beautifully performed with sensitive adherence to tempo, phrasing and dynamics. You fully deserve to have the opportunity of performing this Widor Symphony on a Cavaille Coll. Caen, Rouen or Paris perhaps?
