Exactly for instance my mom has called me a Son of a Bitch granted I replied "we know what that makes you", but the still stands it's not meant literally
I would struggle with British cuss words. I remember the first time I threw the "Finger" I actually threw the ring finger instead of the middle finger. When I got home and found out, I was so embarrassed!
Um, mother*ucker refers to someone outside your family like a friend or acquaintance and not someone actually ****ing their own mother, lol. Is there any research done at all before these videos are made? Also, I'm not sure why you think that everyone from the south or the " Bible belt" as your called it are Christian? Do you even understand how many southern states there are and with how many people? A lot of the things you were saying sounded like they came from a bad Western movie. 😂
I think that’s part of the point? It’s not a fact channel. It’s entertaining to watch them react to things as normal Brits would, not to have them do research and inform us all factually of what we already know.
1. Damn is technically a swear word in the U.S. but it's a very very mild one. Most probably wouldn't even consider it a swear. 2. Nobody says "darn tootin'". Not even in the South. Maybe it was something people said hundreds of years ago, but nobody seriously says that. They'll only say it in a joking way, like when you said it. 3. Swear words are not exclusive to the South. They're just as common everywhere.
I looked up "Son of a gun" and the interesting thing is its actually originally British. It is a term from the old sailing days when women were allowed to accompany the sailors on long voyages, sometimes these women would be wives or girlfriends, but often they would be prostitutes. Sometimes, a baby will be born on ship, and the birth will be on the gun deck. So, by calling someone a 'Son of a gun', you are suggesting that their mother was a ship-board prostitute.
Steven Varner Yes, completely made up.....(sarcasm). Read something. www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/son-of-a-gun.html There were about 25 to 30 more sites that said the same thing.
You're exactly right. Most American insults could be translated as, "I want to hurt your feelings so I'm going to say something insulting" and nobody cares what the actual, literal meaning of the insult is.
I know what you mean I have 4, funny how it is hard to get them to say what you want. But the things you do not want them to say is what they remember. I was watching the show, Supernatural in the show one of the main stars says SOB a lot. Sure enough the African Gray starts saying, Son of Bitch.
In truth, 'son of a gun' is of British origin. In the days of fighting sail, British sailors slung their hammocks on the gun deck. When ships made port, traders would row out to the ships to do business with the sailors aboard. Sometimes prostitutes climbed aboard and served the sailors in the only space available -- between the guns or across a gun. To be a 'son of a gun' was to be a bastard born of a prostitute, fathered by a visiting sailor. When it originated, it was a worse insult than 'son of a bitch'.
Not the only proposed origin of the phrase and it was also proposed that the saying oroginated on British ships when wives were allowed to accompany their spouses on the ships and it was ruled that pregnant ladies were to give birth between the gun racks to keep the pathways on the deck clear, therefore coining the phrase son of a gun
Well, I believe our version of the word "bloody" is "fuck" lmao Like... What a bloody idiot (idk) What a fucking idiot But 'fuck' is a harsher word than 'bloody' so... Yeah that's a thing
The frequency that the British use the word CUNT is quite legendary. Though it does lose its shock value with frequent use. Which is why we Americans consider it a highly offensive thing to say to a woman and therefore reserve it for only the most special occasions.
This is like watching children hearing swear words for the first time and saying them over and over again just for shits and giggles. You two are adorable.
"D*mn" is a more intense version of "dang" or "darn", and most people consider it a mild swear word here. But I can promise you that NO ONE says "darn tootin" 😂

2:45 In a select few cases, some might mean motherf*cker incestously, but I think the most common meaning is someone who has no morals, self-control, or class, and that they might even sleep with their friend’s (or anyone else’s) mother if they felt like it. I’m curious to see the British counterpart to this video! 😂
"Son of a Gun" actually refers , I believe, to boys from the sometimes short lived "marriages " of British Navy gunners and their "wives". Yes, the phrase comes from the Royal Navy, along with " Shake a leg" and " Three Square meals. " Cheers.
Well, to be reasonable, if it just means a mother in general, it's not an insult and I should be able to walk up to my dad and be like "hey, mother fucker" without getting hit...
Kat K Well it's probably from the olden, more conservative, days. I'm guessing it's like you're saying the person is someone good God around Fing people's mothers. It would be interesting to look up the etymology.
Maybe I was wrong. From Wiktionary: "From mother + fucker, attested since 1956, but implied in mother in 1928.[1] The injury comes from the implication of somebody sleeping with his own mother, but was probably not used literally until later."
It definitely would be and I'll have to do some research, but the first result I did on a google search says that in 1898, a man used being called a motherfucker as part of his defense in a murder trial. That seems a little more serious than just being accused of general lechery to me, but I still want to look deeper and see. I'll let you know if I find anything that seems supported across multiple sites. Also, darn it, now I'm going to have to clear my browsing history before I let our child start on her homework :D
If you are a "son of a gun" that means you were born a couple of months after your parents were married in a "shotgun wedding." In a shotgun wedding, the father of the bride is holding the shotgun. :)
As a Christian, growing up in a Christian household we could NOT take the Lord’s name in vain (6:14) even OMG is changed to, OMGoodness. As I said, strict parents/grandparents. Btw, we were also taught that our rules were only ours; so, we don’t judge other people for any type of language they use, or are offended by it in the least.
I have made Jesus my Lord and Saviour. I am half English and live in Australia where swearing is really commonplace. I'm really working on not swearing though I do slip up sometimes. Loved your comment. God bless xx
When we call somebody an ass, we are literally calling them the animal. It's because an ass is considered a stubborn animal, and calling somebody an ass means they are a stubborn, difficult person. Goddamn or goddammit is considered very vulgar in the south or bible belt (these aren't the same thing), but most other places it's not a big deal. Damn by itself isn't really considered a swear word at all these days. Probably the worst word in the US, that doesn't seem to be a big deal in other English speaking countries, is "cunt", which I'm surprised you didn't cover. Anyway, goddammit, I fucking love your channel. You assholes are some entertaining motherfuckers. ;)
Im more offended that people think Texas is as southern as you can get. Not even close. Just because it’s a large state doesn’t mean it’s the most southern. If you want true southern try visiting the “Deep South”. South Carolina (ya know, the state that decided it would remove itself from the rest of the US during civil war). Georgia. Alabama. Mississippi. Tennessee. That is the true south. And you would not believe some of the traditions and slang you’d hear here 😂😂
I’m from (Houston) Texas and I agree. It’s not that south. A lot of people here have the Californian accent and sometimes you don’t even feel like you’re in Texas.
The deep south is more southern than Texas!!! Try Alabama, i reckon, or Tennessee. There is a reason why Nashville is the country music capital of America. I heard Oklahoma is more southern than Texas! I heard Texas is 82% mexican. What does a mexican have to do with the American Deep South? Nothing!!
Maybe my favorite video y’all have ever filmed 😂😂 I live in South Carolina though and have never said “darn tootin” by the way hahaha. This was so great!
also "darn tootin" isn't swearing, even though "darn" is a replacement for "damn." You don't say it at or about someone. The phrase is just a strong agreement, an even more G-rated "damn straight!" Ex: Q:"did you really cover waffles in 3 kinds of candy?" A:"darn tootin'!!!!"
I'm from SC too lol, we use muthafucka and Son of a Bitch as friendly banter between friends. Examples: "What are you doing muthafucka" and "You are the luckiest son of a bitch I know."
Amanda Bonfante yeah it killed me too. They were so bad I think I went deaf for five minutes. I would like to see them try some yankee accents at some point. I think that would be more hilarious than their Texan one. And speaking of yankee, that was considered an offensive word when I was growing up (in the South).
I live in the Bible belt...I don't actually think I've heard anyone say darn tootin....😂😂😂😂 I think those are the lines reserved for old people's television shows. This was so funny guys. Good one.
Dana says- Foghorn Leghorn is awesome! "Dagnabbit!" Of course he's "as old as the hills". That'd be hillarious if every time I or anyone else tried to say curse words Foghorn Leghorn expletives came out instead- like on The Good Place, only more funny.
Pretty much any swear word from America is used in a different meaning today from whenever it originated. Watching you guys try to figure out the meaning based on the words alone is hilarious lol
I disagree - The majority of Americans, at least those over 40 years, educated and raised as Christians, don't swear regularly. I consider it a sign of ignorance when someone uses swear words almost every day.
Omg I am cracking up! 😂😂😂 Motherf*cker is such a common one around here it was funny seeing Lia’s reaction to it. PS - Lia deserves an Oscar for her rendition of an American cussing in a sentence. That was so good. LMAO
I'm from Texas (which is as southern as it gets) and I assure you no one says darn tootin' in real life. If they did everyone would think they're crazy. I guess you guys must have seen this on American tv because that's the only place I've ever heard it when they're trying to be sily. But darn tootin' just means that you're right or that they agree with what you're saying. But for that most Americans just say "damn right" or "hell yes". I think y'all watch too much tv lol
Shelby Steele then you’re deaf I have lived in the south all my life for 40 years and yes we most certainly do and I’m originally from Texas and we only say it when we want to respond in a funny way it’s not a phrase used in normal conversation it’s just a phrase that’s funny
carolinabridge y’all need a geography lesson because yes in fact Texas is as southern as it gets and the Deep South is actually the south east region and I absolutely hate when people refer to Texas as south west or out west i mean if you can operate a compass you should know this
"Darn tootin", "dad gum" and "son of a gun" are all ways of foul language without actually using the real curse words. Mostly used by generations north of 60 to 70 now.
I enjoy your channel. But with regard to these words, you know the words but you don't know the tune. Mark Twain cussed a blue streak. His wife sometimes complained about that. So, one time, she tried to imitate him, to let him know what he sounded like. After she did that, he replied "You know the words, but you don't know the tune."
I never use that one. I just remember a special needs boy in my school from when I was a kid calling his aid a jackass all the time and... yeah. I just don't use it.
I like jack-assed son of a bitch. It's fun to combine curse words. My favorite is "shit fucking hell". Or, "damnitall to shit fucking hell". Usually when I've forgotten something. It's only indirectly self-directed.
I was going to say stringing them together is an art form that she did rather well. It's always fun to hear videos with the beeps (like from an accident or something) and to hear a string of 20 beeps just going and going.
"Son of a gun" is of 18th century British origin. Women were allowed to accompany their husbands on voyages aboard Navy ships. If a woman gave birth, she did it behind the canvas curtain near the midship gun and the child would be listed as a "son of a gun" on the ship's registry.
I don't know how anyone could be triggered by your videos because you both are so gracious and accommodating quite polite to the way you put things. I thank you for that.
A lot of them actually say damn it to hell instead. or gosh darn it. But gosh darn it sounds so dumb i've never actually heard it by anyone but children trying to get away with swearing. Plus I actually had a grandma that said I still can't say it because it's too close to god damn it.
"Son of a gun" comes from the phrase "shotgun wedding." A shotgun wedding is a situation where a couple gets married right after they find out about an unplanned pregnancy (typically when both parties are younger). It's called a shotgun wedding because the father of the pregnant girl could very well be forcing the guy to marry her at gunpoint. The image it brings to mind is the father standing at the altar with a shotgun in hand. A "son of a gun" literally means the child of a couple that ended up in a shotgun wedding (that is, an unplanned, teen pregnancy). Nowadays, it has lost that meaning and is just a censoring of "son of a bitch"
“Damn” is kinda toeing the line between swearing and not. It’s not polite, but most people don’t care. I wouldn’t say it around children. “Goddamnit” is seen as more vulgar, because like you said, it’s seen by Christians as taking the lords name in vain. And there are several Christians here. Kind of a lot, actually. “Asshole” is kinda unique in that it is typically only used to insult men. It sounds sort of strange to hear a female referred to as an “asshole.” But it’s kind of a mid-level swear word. Probably around the level of “shit” “Motherfucker” is probably slightly more insulting than plain ‘ol “fuck,” but if you’re already at “fuck,” I don’t suppose it much matters what you tack on to it at that point.
American folklore (may not be true, likely isn’t) is a son of a gun was a near bastard. If a man got a woman pregnant out of wedlock, the father of the woman would force the father of the child at gunpoint to married his daughter. Hence the term shotgun wedding. Done so the child would not be born a bastard. The child was said to be a son of a gun meaning momma n daddy had a bit of a rushed wedding. The Bible belt is our version of your Midlands, except ours goes north to south. Texas to Canadian border basically. Full of orthodox Christians, thereby a straight line up the middle, much like a belt. As for “the south”... google something called the Mason Dixon line, that might help 🙂
Erica Williams well actually my parents say son of a gun to be funny and not say curse words around me (well they used to, now they don’t care about cursing at all 😂)

Here's some fun ones but don't hear as much, "Buttmunch" "fartknocker" "shithead" "dickwad" or my personal favorite, "dammit bobby!"
I love "dammit bobby" it's so fun to say! 😂
Yasss
But you can’t do the “dammit Bobby” without using your best Hank Hill voice 😂😂
Quit wacking off in my tool shed!
If you are a "son of a gun" that means you were born a couple of months after your parents were married in a "shotgun wedding." In a shotgun wedding, the father of the bride is holding the shotgun. :)
ahhh that makes sense!!
😂 I had no idea
So cool
I never knew that.
Joel & Lia Don't encourage him. 😂
Also in the South, instead of saying “G..dammit” we say dagnabbit.
Her American accent is the literal worst I've heard
No shit sherlock. She's not American.
Was decent -Im American
DJ Murci your British must be better than her
THE1NONLY1 was fine - I’m American, still. Lol
"American Swear Words Brits Don't Know"
Does the most horrible Southern accent I've ever heard
The lady sounds like Kermit the Frog while doing the accents.
You assholes are some entertaining motherfuckers. ;)
Very underrated comment!
LOL yes, cunt is the most offensive swear word. A friend of mine said it meant "Can't Understand Normal Thinking." She was putting down men.
Brah I call my friends asses all the time. I'm not calling them and actual animal tf...
I threatened to break up with my boyfriend if he ever uses the C-word in my presence. I won't stand for it.
@@RJEngle1 wow! that word is THAT offensive to you??
Im more offended that people think Texas is as southern as you can get. Not even close. Just because it’s a large state doesn’t mean it’s the most southern.
If you want true southern try visiting the “Deep South”. South Carolina (ya know, the state that decided it would remove itself from the rest of the US during civil war). Georgia. Alabama. Mississippi. Tennessee.
That is the true south. And you would not believe some of the traditions and slang you’d hear here 😂😂
carolinabridge ha yes! I’m from Georgia and I approve of this. I have a friend from Texas and he thinks it’s the most southern state out there.
You do realize that Texas secceded from the union to, right?
I’m from (Houston) Texas and I agree. It’s not that south. A lot of people here have the Californian accent and sometimes you don’t even feel like you’re in Texas.
I’m from Alabama and I can agree with you😂
The deep south is more southern than Texas!!! Try Alabama, i reckon, or Tennessee. There is a reason why Nashville is the country music capital of America. I heard Oklahoma is more southern than Texas! I heard Texas is 82% mexican. What does a mexican have to do with the American Deep South? Nothing!!
this is the funnest video I seen. I enjoyed it. the end was funny. really bad words at the end. could you do your swear words.
Agree...waiting on the mean comments from this one😂😂😂
In America the word "Damn",Especially some one saying "Damn you,or damn this",basically means "go to hell".
I don't say son of a gun
I say son of a biscuit XD
True, true
I say both
I say son of a beach
Son of a sea biscuit or son of a gun or sob.
that was me at 6 years old unless my wii was f*cking with me
Maybe my favorite video y’all have ever filmed 😂😂 I live in South Carolina though and have never said “darn tootin” by the way hahaha. This was so great!
Thanks Kay! ❤️
I only hear "darn tootin' " when someone is trying to be funny. I've never heard it said seriously.
also "darn tootin" isn't swearing, even though "darn" is a replacement for "damn." You don't say it at or about someone. The phrase is just a strong agreement, an even more G-rated "damn straight!" Ex: Q:"did you really cover waffles in 3 kinds of candy?" A:"darn tootin'!!!!"
True. Texan here and "darn tootin' " is generally used in a very silly way. I've never heard anyone truly curse that way. We're usually mocking.
I'm from SC too lol, we use muthafucka and Son of a Bitch as friendly banter between friends. Examples: "What are you doing muthafucka" and "You are the luckiest son of a bitch I know."
The American accents are killing me😂👌🏼
Amanda Bonfante yeah it killed me too. They were so bad I think I went deaf for five minutes. I would like to see them try some yankee accents at some point. I think that would be more hilarious than their Texan one.
And speaking of yankee, that was considered an offensive word when I was growing up (in the South).
Sounded live sheriff woody or Andy Griffith.
Y'all need to watch Pulp Fiction to really learn how they're used and with proper accents.
Samuel L Jackson would be happy to educate them on the f word
The_SCP _Foundation SamuelL has turned saying MF into performance art.😂
I live in the Bible belt...I don't actually think I've heard anyone say darn tootin....😂😂😂😂 I think those are the lines reserved for old people's television shows. This was so funny guys. Good one.
Dana Dearest yeah, darn tootin’ is a few generations out of date...
Dana says- Foghorn Leghorn is awesome! "Dagnabbit!" Of course he's "as old as the hills". That'd be hillarious if every time I or anyone else tried to say curse words Foghorn Leghorn expletives came out instead- like on The Good Place, only more funny.
Swear words aren't swear words in American its just a part of all of our vocabulary.
Yea basically. I'd be willing to bet that we say "What the fuck!?" More than "Oh My God!!"
Pretty much any swear word from America is used in a different meaning today from whenever it originated. Watching you guys try to figure out the meaning based on the words alone is hilarious lol
swear words are definitely still swear words, words you wouldnt use in a professional setting.
Michael Schwartz speak for yourself they're not a part of everyone's vocabulary some of us do have class still
I disagree - The majority of Americans, at least those over 40 years, educated and raised as Christians, don't swear regularly. I consider it a sign of ignorance when someone uses swear words almost every day.
You guys are so cute when you curse, over here it's just crass but for some reason you make it look it sound adorable!
Hahahaha Darn tootin' is mostly a TV thing, but it was hilarious hearing you guys say it! 😂
I live in the ‘Bible Belt’ and have never said nor heard the word ‘darn-tootin’
I've heard it where I'm from in southern Indiana.
I've heard it enough for both of us.. Lol
It sounds like a phrase from a rated PG western movie from the token old cowboy. I've heard it a lot but not outside something like that.
Old Western movies
I am in the south and I have heard it when someone is trying to be funny.
The rudest video yet... still the funniest 😂😂❤️🇬🇧
Hahah thanks!
I agree so funny! I watched twice and my kids are like let me see let me see! Thank God for earphones
Marc Racine so completely UNtriggered lol i love cussing apparently it means you're more honest?
Omg I am cracking up! 😂😂😂 Motherf*cker is such a common one around here it was funny seeing Lia’s reaction to it.
PS - Lia deserves an Oscar for her rendition of an American cussing in a sentence. That was so good. LMAO
Omg I wish I could win the RUclips oscars
I agree
Agreed, very Tarantino
Lea's american accent had me cracking up in this video😭😂😂
I'm from Texas (which is as southern as it gets) and I assure you no one says darn tootin' in real life. If they did everyone would think they're crazy. I guess you guys must have seen this on American tv because that's the only place I've ever heard it when they're trying to be sily. But darn tootin' just means that you're right or that they agree with what you're saying. But for that most Americans just say "damn right" or "hell yes". I think y'all watch too much tv lol
I’ve heard people say darn tootin before.
Exactly, as a Southern girl, I can tell you I have Never heard or said “darn tootin”.
Shelby Steele actually. Texas is not as southern as you get. The Deep South is. As in SC, GA, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee.
Shelby Steele then you’re deaf I have lived in the south all my life for 40 years and yes we most certainly do and I’m originally from Texas and we only say it when we want to respond in a funny way it’s not a phrase used in normal conversation it’s just a phrase that’s funny
carolinabridge y’all need a geography lesson because yes in fact Texas is as southern as it gets and the Deep South is actually the south east region and I absolutely hate when people refer to Texas as south west or out west i mean if you can operate a compass you should know this
Darn Tootin’ is an emphasis phrase. So it’s like “Did you really catch a three foot fish?” “Yer darn tootin’!” You better believe it, IOW.
Oooo okay!
Or you could replace it with “Hell Yeah”.
“Are you going to bring your Bible?”
Reply: “Darn Tootin!”
"Darn tootin", "dad gum" and "son of a gun" are all ways of foul language without actually using the real curse words. Mostly used by generations north of 60 to 70 now.
I say “Dag gummit” and “son of a biscuit “ 😂
I say son of a gun around my parents
You folks are too much !!! Your videos are wonderful and they brighten my days. !! .
Hysterical! Leave it to the Brits to make even "rude" words sound classy! Love you guys!
"Darn tootin" means yes or correct
And the dirty version is "Damn Straight!"
And is meant enthusiastically! More like "heck yeah!"
You're darn tootin' !
I can't believe Ron Weasley says Bloody Hell so many times in Harry Potter. My parents would have washed my mouth out with soap, ha!
I know!
This was my favorite video thus far. I love how you’re trying to be so proper at the beginning and then you suddenly turn into vulgar animals.
Not all were used in the correct context lmao however, it’s absolutely hilariously entertaining to see you try to sound like us 😂😂 love you guys!! ❤️
When I was a kid we would say "you son of a rebellious woman" to make our mom mad 😂
lyne81625 www.answering-islam.org/Authors/Arlandson/ten_reasons.htm
Hahahahah that’s brilliant!
Love that! I hope I remember it.
lyne81625 Then when your mom gets upset you can say "See? There she goes again. Rebelling." Except I would have had to say them while running.
lyne81625 that's amazing 😂
This is one of the funniest J&L vids. Love it
Joel took to next level at the end, definitely one of my favorite moments. They both were really amazing in this 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
you forgot Jackass and that one has a interesting backstory
I use that one a lot.
I laughed so much at this one. Lia calling down her son I was dyinngggg,
"Darn tootin'" is more like saying "damn right"
And Lea sounds like Peewee Herman when she tries to do a southern accent.
Alex Rud cheers Alex
LMAO!😂🤣
That was so fun to watch!
Lia actually had it down pat when she said the string of swear words.
She sounded very American😳🤬
I was going to say stringing them together is an art form that she did rather well. It's always fun to hear videos with the beeps (like from an accident or something) and to hear a string of 20 beeps just going and going.
Yeah. She coulda been yelling at a TV screen on Thanksgiving.
Yep, very American to go off on a tangent like that.
And she did it without laughing....I can't say that. Hahaha
This video is probably your most incorrect, but you're still funny.
"Son of a gun" is of 18th century British origin. Women were allowed to accompany their husbands on voyages aboard Navy ships. If a woman gave birth, she did it behind the canvas curtain near the midship gun and the child would be listed as a "son of a gun" on the ship's registry.
Sounds like Emma Watson transforming halfway into Dolly Parton.
This is hard to watch as it’s all wrong
Lia trying to say "darn tootin" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 she was so excited haha " is that real?!"
Yeah, in KENtucky
I don't know how anyone could be triggered by your videos because you both are so gracious and accommodating quite polite to the way you put things. I thank you for that.
this is so funny how they do the "southern accent"
Saying damned or especially god damned in America is often regarded as blasphemy or taking the Lord's name in vain by some people.
A lot of them actually say damn it to hell instead. or gosh darn it. But gosh darn it sounds so dumb i've never actually heard it by anyone but children trying to get away with swearing. Plus I actually had a grandma that said I still can't say it because it's too close to god damn it.
If I heard my almost grown son say that I'd slap the heck out of him.
Not often and not very much by anybody who isn't Krazy Kristian.
1st time viewer...and you two have me rollin!!
Probably around the level of “shit”
“Motherfucker” is probably slightly more insulting than plain ‘ol “fuck,” but if you’re already at “fuck,” I don’t suppose it much matters what you tack on to it at that point.
Todd Johnson Dam is also a water dam too.
@@missims100 they're two separate words. D a m supports and holds back water where as d a m n is to curse or the cursed 1
Yeah they didn't even touch the c-word. That's expert level cussing and I don't use that word.
Actually when you say gdi your asking god to dam it
I’m almost certain the video got demonitized. Lol you guys are hilarious especial lia making up her own words. Haha
Hahah thanks Britney!
And yet it's still interrupted by an ad lol
Connor Amlee I didn't see one
Britney Nicole I got ads and the video is categorized as educational.
"Don't be an asshole, subscribe!" 🤣🤣🤣 I lost it there, oh my God!
Wow. I can't believe the most offensive parts of a video full of cusses weren't actually the cusses...
WE DONT SAY DARN TOOTIN! OR SON OF A GUN! MOST OF THE STEREOTYPES ABOUT THE SOUTH DRIVE ME INSANE! 😂 sorry
Erica Williams well actually my parents say son of a gun to be funny and not say curse words around me (well they used to, now they don’t care about cursing at all 😂)
Erica Williams i day son of a gun😂
I live in the Midwest and I have heard people genuinely use both of these phrases
Triggered?
When I lived in the south I heard both of these.
They actually say gosh darnit instead of godammit to clean it up.
confirmed
I like consarnit, Yosemite Sam style when I'm around kids
Only awkward people would say “gosh darnit” lmao
This is the funniest video of yours I've seen yet! Omg lmfao. Lia is cracking me up! Oh, and I DO say "darn tootin' ". 😂
No one in the South says “Darn tunten”
ur darned turtin i do
Why is "bloody" a curse word? And EVERYONE loses it at times even Christians, we just do what we call forgiveness work when we curse.
I believe bloody is derived from "by our lady", which has some kind of biblical connotations.
Most American curse words have to do with bodily functions whereas most British curse words are of ill health.
You can say that someone is a "Pistol". and so you have songs that say " My daddy was a pistol so I am a son of a gun".
