    ABOUT THE VIDEO: Dracaena repot (THE RIGHT WAY)
    The dracaena marginata (also known as the madagascar dragon tree) is such an interesting plant! There are many types of plants in the dracaena family, including the dragon tree that we saw in a botanical garden in Tenerife (you can find it here: • Tenerife Botanical Gar... ), which made me think of the one we have here at home. Dracaena marginata plant care includes repotting at the right time so in this video we go over how to repot dracaena plant, specifically how to repot dracaena marginata. We go over when to repot dracaena as well as some signs that may mean your dracaena needs some space. If you see your dracaena marginata dropping leaves, the roots growing on top of the potting mix, below through the drainage holes and/or around the potting mix, these are good signs that your dracaena needs repotting. I hope this video is helpful and I am here for any question, so don'T hesitate to leave a comment below :-)

    I got really lucky I wasn’t sure what to use, and I had a bunch of cocoa core already mixed with pearlite. And I use that and then I just found this video so I got lucky I didn’t know what to use. Awesome video.

    I just reported mine! I think mine was suffering from root rot though because the last owner had it in a massive pot, so I’ve just repotted into a smaller one and hope I can bring her back to life. Wish me luck!!

    That was so helpful! I had no idea I should be removing so much dirt from the root ball. Any advice on whether I can put 3 dracaenae in one pot? I just rescued my friend’s 4 from her cat and I don’t have room for all of them in separate pots. Also, some tips on how to help them recover from their lives as cat grass stand-ins would be awesome.
    Totally subscribing and going to go through other vids now! Thanks again.

    Hello! I was wondering if my plant isn't showing any signs of needing to be repotted should I still at least change the soil ? If so, how often should I change it?

    • @TmGino
      @TmGino Год назад

      Normally you dont need to repot dracaena often. If you dont see any signs, you can just add worm casting on top to give the plant a nutrients boost.

    do they need to be under direct sun while repotting?

    • @Sapereaudex
      @Sapereaudex 6 дней назад

      No. You don’t want bare roots sitting in direct sun and if your plant isn’t acclimated, it will burn in direct sun.
