He's score is still not accepted in official leaderboards, his still banned from Twin Galaxies as a whole and Twin Galaxies hasn't apologised for claiming that he has cheated. The only thing Billy was able to get was a settlement where Twin Galaxies would show in an archive that he had been once on their leaderboard. Ehh... I took college level courses in TV production and that is not how unclean VCR heads would distort a picture. They would create visible lines across the screen and/or make the image blurry. They wouldn't add or delete portions of the picture.
I took no such college course and even I know that's not what a damaged VHS tape output would look like. Anyone who lived through the VHS era knows that's not what a bad recording looks like.

Consequently, when there was a defect in the recording process it would spread to several frames and not just the one where it started. I'm in no way an expert, but even I know what a dirty vhs tape looks like on a TV. I'm only 23, but I grew up rural and poor, so me and my vhs of Scooby Doo on Zombie Island were tight.

I took college level courses in TV production and that is not how unclean VCR heads would distort a picture. They would create visible lines across the screen and/or make the image blurry. They wouldn't add or delete portions of the picture.

I took no such college course and even I know that's not what a damaged VHS tape output would look like. Anyone who lived through the VHS era knows that's not what a bad recording looks like.
@@mresturk9336 Most people are unaware that almost all video tape (3/4 to 1/2" and Beta) recorded diagonally. Consequently, when there was a defect in the recording process it would spread to several frames and not just the one where it started. So them saying it would cause the one frame to be distorted is also not true.
I'm in no way an expert, but even I know what a dirty vhs tape looks like on a TV. I'm only 23, but I grew up rural and poor, so me and my vhs of Scooby Doo on Zombie Island were tight.
