Anaesthesia is a trip. One minute you are chatting to a doctor. Then the next second you are somewhere else and it's feels like you've teleported in an instant but hours have passed.
Fr, When I got my surgery, I got anesthesia, and surprisingly, I think I got like 20 seconds, but in the time span of like 3 hours it honestly felt like seconds

In anesthesia the meds are put in your spine and you loose consciousness in few seconds and need a breathing tube. Kids get usually a much lighter drug and they can breath on their own, don't feel pain and are usually in deep sleep. We call that a knockout. As a kid I spent one surgery awake but it was fine since I felt no pain.

Also, I won’t be prescribed any pain meds due to already being on a prescription for other reasons.

I have had so many operations just in the last three years I’ve had 14 brain surgeries. I love doing things like this, it’s a way of coping. Trying to enjoy any moments I can. Most people would think how can you enjoy having surgery, but even if it’s such a tiny thing like this Grab it with both hands.
