As a veteran, I have suffered from PTSD from my time in Iraq for over a decade & what I did.
Today was my day to die. Today was when I was to kill myself & end this pain that I feel but.......hearing this, I feel that I have more to do, I always thought that I don't belong here anymore but the way you sang & carried this song makes me feel that maybe, just maybe I do belong here after all.

It took a lot not to end my life & this song helped me to realize that there may be more left for me to do. I don't feel 100% & I know I never will but maybe, maybe I can help others like me.
I still dread getting up & seeing a new day but not as much as before. I set goals for myself every day & that helps some.

His rendition of Creep is unparalleled, breathtaking. There is nothing like it in my opinion. I prefer it over all others I have heard. The raw emotion and the power in his voice when his voice swells with the music is so moving. The contrast between that and his control when he reaches the lows, with the volume taken down, is powerful. He is just mesmerizing.

I was rooting for him too, but after grace vanderwaal golden buzzer the hype train for her was too big for any other competitors. It’s only because she was built up as a young Taylor Swift. Brian was definitely the best singer during the competition.

At 3:01, if you listen closely you can hear what sounds like an old computer monitor flickering. I'm pretty it's coming from his voice as tiny artifacts resonating in that mix range. It's the only perceptible sign I can see that Brian is still human in this cover - well, other than the tear at the end 😢

You once said something like "I like to sing in a way that makes people feel things." Then the judges commented on how you turn your songs into a performance. I love to sing the same way, to make the song into a multi act performance. I'd love to hear how you did songs like "My Immortal", "Jar of Hearts" and "You Raise Me Up". Each one is set up to be sung in your style!

What is WRONG with the people who disliked this???? There's no accounting for taste. The talent, the emotion and the power in his voice is absolutely phenominal. Even if you don't like the song or the tempo of it, you have to appreciate the talent and the execution. Amazing.

the dislikes are probably due to autotune. His other performance of this was genuine and sounded great, but this version has been tampered with and sounds like shit.
Nothing to 'hate'. Not everyone has to agree with you. Just didn't like it. Great voice but not my cup of tea, same as the judges, esp as I love the original, but while I'm open to good covers, this wasn't it, no build up, just the same boring monotonous beat.
Maybe raise your standards. I'm as comfortable with classical and arias to hard rock and house on a Sunday morning sipping my coffee.

I’m just a tad bit late, but I’m not even kidding when I say this is the most emotion and vulnerability I’ve ever seen in an artist singing a song. Not to mention you have unbelievable vocals. When I first heard you sing this I was actually speechless (especially at the bridge) first song that actually made me tear up

I completely agree with you. He's also using some kind of voice filter in this video which I don't like. Around 2:40 you can hear it. I prefer his rawness and imperfections. His live performance was 100% real.

I have watched your AGT "Creep" many times and each time is like the first. Yes, your control is masterful. Your timing is genius. Your voice is unique and beautiful. BUT the intensity of your emotions. Your way of meaning every word you sing. Your ability to take everyone listening to the invisible plane you had entered.
That's why the applause took longer than usual to begin. EVERYONE had to "return" from the dimension that you took them to.
It also happened to Abraham Lincoln.
I once read that after every speech, the applause was hesitant. But then would become a deafening roar.
Your gift is more than phenomenal vocal beauty. Your gift is taking people to a place of momentary suspension and giving them relief, from what may be any number of slings and arrows they are enduring at that time.

I agree. The Agt performance was a lot better. It was more real and raw and without any voice filters unlike this video. He still has an amazing voice filters or not but I prefer his raw natural voice

Exacly! And on one note just feeling the auto tune kicking in...i don't know why because he doesn't need the auto tune! The live version was waaaay better! At one point i felt like i heard Adam Lamber insted of Brian...and similar smart performences!

First time I heard this I was just mesmerized by the haunting voice. In subsequent listenings I was able to also listen to the lyrics. What a great song. And the voice and emotion it exudes pairs perfectly with the message. Thank you. It really touched me and resonates with me having always been an outsider.

I never expected anything like this. You put so much emotion into the song, and it made it the most memorable performance I ever saw. I still remember you to this day for that. You have inspired me beyond anyone, to sing from my heart, and pull out what makes me sorrowful. So I’m practicing a song for a recital. This song. He is such a Huge Star , it was like Wow!!!!!!! Watching him on the show you could see something so spiritual happening. I think that rises ubove winning a show to some other place! He won every heart who was watching him with that performance.! Beautiful beautiful!

His voice is truly the voice of an Angel and it was given to him to bring us Joy, Happiness, Love and Compassion. THANK YOU, BRIAN! YOU TRULY HAVE NO CONCEPT OF THE POWER OF YOUR VOICE. I LOVE THAT.
