I have been buying your beautiful book and expansion packs. Love love love your techniques. I live in Queensland Australia and would love to purchase the Weightless Quilter. Can you tell if there is a company in Australia I can purchase. Thank you
I’m getting ready to take a class at my LQS. Do you start at the top center of the quilt working down? Do you then do the next column to the left or right alternating sides until complete to prevent distortion? I’m a bit confused on that one thing. Otherwise on my Bernina or Pfaff I have precise position to line designs.
Hi DD, I reached out to Mark at Amelie Scott, and got this response: Short answer #1: the instructor will cover that in class. Short answer #2: you start at the top, and at or near the middle of the quilt. Then, you quilt columns, always moving to the right. Slightly longer answer: these are important aspects of the technique, which are explained in the Edge-to-Edge book. Specifically, the “Easy-Connect, Step-by-Step” section. If the customer wants to get a head start on the technique before class, reading through that section of the book is the right way to go. I hope that helps. Mark
HI Nancy! We asked them to specify. this is their response: The steps for quilting the second side of the quilt are explained in our book, under the heading “Stitching the columns on the second side,” which is found on page 14 of the book. I’ve never heard of a reverse point stitch, but I’m pretty sure we don’t use one. If the customer still has questions about that, please ask her to explain what she means, and why she believes it’s related to our technique. I hope this helps. - Mark www.allbrands.com/categories/4469/57183-amelia-scott-10-designs-asd201-edge-to-edge-quilti
Hi Darrelllena, please contact mark@ameliescott.com to see when their next event is. We do not currently have one scheduled but did 2 recently that are over.
Hi Ann, pulling up the bobbin thread can be done with machine embroidery, but it is not the same as free motion, since the embroidery machine does a lock stitch at the end anyway, and leaves a small tail on the back that can be clipped off.
@@AIassistingquiltsandcraft It is not necessary to bring up the bobbin thread to the top unless the automatic thread trimmer is not working properly (unthreading the needle, etc.) John

Hello, is there a way that I can watch the class that was announced in the video in 2021?
Hi Darrelllena, please contact mark@ameliescott.com to see when their next event is. We do not currently have one scheduled but did 2 recently that are over.
Do all Amelia’s designs come on a cd as I no longer have a computer with a cd drive, everything is usb
downloads are available on her website.
You are pulling the bobbin thread up, did I hear that correct? Anyone feel free to answer.
Hi Ann, pulling up the bobbin thread can be done with machine embroidery, but it is not the same as free motion, since the embroidery machine does a lock stitch at the end anyway, and leaves a small tail on the back that can be clipped off.

Can I do this with my Janome S9 sew/embroidery machine?
Yes if you use the lining up method shown in Christine's book.
Do the designs come in a pdf format or cd only? My computer no longer has the cd option
currently they are available on cd.
Do you have a video demonstrating the edge to edge technique on a multi needle machine?
Hi Jean, I do not see any currently. The technique should be similar.

Hi
The price of the weightless quilter is so reasonable but unfortunately the cost of sending to NZ makes some things out of reach for us
Sorry to hear that. Yes the box is quite large and heavy for shipping to New Zealand.
Are there magnetic hoops for the Bernette B79?
Hi Katie, We believe they are working on that, but it will take time for development.
