    Can we just talk about how well Ray and you speak English! As an American, I am always impressed with how many people around the world learn to speak English and how few Americans learn to speak a second language. It is on my bucket list to learn a new language, but I can't decide if I should learn to speak Spanish because the US borders Mexico, so it makes sense, or German because some of my family speak it, or French for no other reason than it sounds fun, but I don't know who I would speak French to. I guess I would have to go hang out in France a lot then.

    • @CandelaEnRio
      @CandelaEnRio 8 месяцев назад +1

      If you're torn, just pick the language that you feel the most drawn to. And who says you have to stop at one foreign language? Once you've learned a second language, the language learning process gets easier with any subsequent languages. I promise. I've been there. I'm a French native speaker. English is my 2nd language. I also learned Spanish and now I want to learn Italian.

I lived in Sweden as an exchange student & became quite fluent within 6 months. However, it took a while to find a friend who would help me because so many others wanted to practice their English on me! Now over 50 years later, I still have an accent that surprises Swedish people and amaze them that I still have some command of the language. It’s very easy for children to learn languages! Gr8 gal Isabella. So always full of beans. Not easy to u-std & even mumble African words if you're Caucasian. Very tough. She is a legend!
