Language is essential no matter where you live in the world! I absolutely love watching your videos and I am trying to learn some new dance moves. You are both adorable. Thank you for motivating others and showing unity! Love, Peace & Light xox
You did so good!! I always try to learn the language of where I’m going and it helps a lot when getting on the right buses and trains. When I was traveling the internet (or RUclips) wasn’t yet invented so I had to buy dictionaries and Lonely Planet books for each place I visited. I’m a female and I traveled around the Globe twice, all alone, it was absolutely the best time of my life!!
Isabella actually does know alot of swahili!!! More than any muzungu I know that's been there!!! Wow I'm proud!! Not bad at all ❤ in fact I'm inspired to learn more for the next time I go!!!!
Can we just talk about how well Ray and you speak English! As an American, I am always impressed with how many people around the world learn to speak English and how few Americans learn to speak a second language. It is on my bucket list to learn a new language, but I can't decide if I should learn to speak Spanish because the US borders Mexico, so it makes sense, or German because some of my family speak it, or French for no other reason than it sounds fun, but I don't know who I would speak French to. I guess I would have to go hang out in France a lot then.
If you're torn, just pick the language that you feel the most drawn to. And who says you have to stop at one foreign language? Once you've learned a second language, the language learning process gets easier with any subsequent languages. I promise. I've been there. I'm a French native speaker. English is my 2nd language. I also learned Spanish and now I want to learn Italian.
This is how you learn another language. Just go for it. It’s so much easier when people appreciate your efforts and when you stick with it, without bailing into English. Her guy could use some lessons on how to have her back, with encouragement and appreciation.
MAMBO!! 😂 See, I learned from Isabella! The people in Tanzania are so open which isn’t really true in Scandinavia from my experience. My grandfather was born in Sweden in 1894! However, it took a while to find a friend who would help me because so many others wanted to practice their English on me! Now over 50 years later, I still have an accent that surprises Swedish people and amaze them that I still have some command of the language. It’s very easy for children to learn languages!
