We went there in 2019 , what an amazing place, such a lot to appreciate but WOW . You could almost do with a few visits, but it was great to see your video as a lovely reminder, thank you
Another gorgeous video from the Loire Valley! I can’t believe that was built in only 10 years…I thought it would took so much longer, given how huge it is! The guard room looks cool…I love that stuff! Dinnertime for the dogs is hilarious! Thanks for sharing guys!
I used to love TinTin but had no idea that the Chateaux of Cheverny was inspired by it! Definitely very well preserved and looks really stunning with its beautiful decorations. Thanks for sharing! Learnt something new. - Triple P c/t
Wow! I always love watching your vlog! Very informative and at the same time I feel like i'm there too watching those furniture and dogs! All the best!
You two have a great niche with chateaus - I love all of the history and information y'all give us. The meticulously decorated rooms really show off the beauty of this place. And the facades are breathtaking for French architecture. -c/t
been loving all the places that you guys visited so far from the other videos that i've watched - and this place does not disappoint, looks really beautiful and definitely well-preserved. i like how a lot of parts in the chateau are still original. the armor collections are so cool woah. aww the lego sculptures are so cool haha. Scooby Doo!!!! wow the King's Bedroom is insane. the ancient books wow. DOGS OMG how cuteeee. lots of cool and interesting information too! thanks for sharing! c/t
We hope you can too. We weren't sure what to expect because it is not the largest or most impressive chateau from the outside. But the inside was truly spectacular.
What was your favorite part of the castle? There is so much detail in every room they certainly don't make things like this anymore. Loved library I am a book nerd so I would be all over that!
1:02 The ceiling has a sort of Himalayan thing going on. Not the painted motif so much but all those narrow beams. I've seen that in interior photos of Tibetan buildings, monastaries, I think.
Very hard question to answer. From a cash flow point of view, 350,000 visitors x 12 euros + ancillary revenue fro the restaurant and souvenir store, we would guess $7 million per year x 15 or 20 = $100 to $150 million. However, buying a chateau in France is like buying a 10-year old German car. All you are buying is lots of future maintenance. The chateau probably just breaks even. Cheverny also has a lot of paintings and antique furniture inside. Probably $50 million worth. But these are all wild guesses on our part. The unknown is whether a billionaire would be willing to pay a lot more than this, for the prestige, like they would be buying a football team.
Wonder how they keep the tapestry clean and prevent it from degradation over hundreds of years. I expected to see a painting of Sir Francis Haddock on the wall BTW 😉
While we were there, we were wondering whether these dogs living in a pack were better of or worse off than Huskies living in a studio apartment in Arizona or Florida.
They have "hunt dogs" and make a show of them! Terrible. Such a shame to hunt!!! And dogs doesn't like to be used. Like all other Animals. Such a shame! Nothing to do with "nobility". Anyway no soul nobility

We're glad you enjoyed our video and glad you enjoyed your visit at Cheverny. Amazing to see how well preserved it has been for all these years.

Yes, the dogs were really something else.
Nothing better than a fantastic day in the Loire Valley at a beautiful chateau. Thanks for the historic information and again for sharing your videos.
We're glad you're not chateau'ed out yet because we have three more videos about the Loire Valley :)
I used to love TinTin but had no idea that the Chateaux of Cheverny was inspired by it! Definitely very well preserved and looks really stunning with its beautiful decorations. Thanks for sharing! Learnt something new. - Triple P c/t
We're glad you enjoyed it. Beautiful chateau indeed.

Haha, three more to go and we're done with this series :).
Looks like a beautiful chateau! The dog feeding made me laugh, when the one dog dives over to get to the food 😂
We were joking we should have jumped into the fray to remove their bowl and see what happens 😁😁😁.
I think they would have eaten you alive! 😂

You're very welcome :)
Oh wow.. the castle soo amazing, lovely place and TinTin
The tintin theme is throughout the castle and there is even a Tintin museum that we didn't feature in the video :).
very interesting video about the chateau of Cheverny in the Loire Valley. 1:20 I would like to wear this armor to see how heavy it is. 😀😀
These armors are normally 50 kg. We don't know how they did it.
Love this video
Thanks. Cheverny was beautiful.
awesome looking place, looks alot like my house....if you take away 99.9% of it.🤣
We're probably at 99.7% or 99.8%. Way better than you 😋😋😋!
I hope i can visit this place one day
We hope you can too. We weren't sure what to expect because it is not the largest or most impressive chateau from the outside. But the inside was truly spectacular.

You would be in for a treat then :)

The library was pretty cool indeed :).

It is actually typical of the Renaissance era architecture all over Europe. Not sure who copied whom :).
@@JamesandLaurent Thank you for replying. Usually RUclipsrs don't check comments on such old videos.
The dog feeding looked amazing. How was the smell?
Haha, let's just say it felt that there were more than one dog 🐶🐶🐶🐶.
We are doing a study on Cheverny and was wondering if you could place a value on Cheverny what would it be with ?

James and Laurent's World Travels Thank you for responding we really appreciate your knowledge and input .

We couldn't find the painting either 😂😅😂.
People without "humanity". Poor dogs

Then do not watch our video about the Cheverny dogs specifically :(
