Vivian and Simon on the grandest tour.
Their motto for this journey is clearly just Amour !
Chenonceau as backdrop serves their purpose well.
The story of this castle is interesting to tell.
They wander in the footsteps of sovereign queens of old.
Whose lives meant often hardship, but sparkles now like gold.
Though Vivian had no wooing, no courtier on his knees.
Simon clearly conquers her heart with certain ease. 👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏻

Hope you do not mind my saying this, but one thing I love most about both of you is that you are so very down to earth and "real" that means so much to me. You could be different am sure, and have a right to be that way, but you are not that type of people, I can see this. I truly love this so much! I noticed it with your sister and your daughter Dr Isabella. Thank you for being who you truly are, loving people!
Could not help but see this in you, and it just does mean so much to come and enjoy the time with you on your vlogs. This just is something in people, a trait I like the most. It shines through!
(That would be such fun if you could ever have such a chance to buy this Chateau too, and own it, what fun this would be, * but way to much work most likely as it is an undertaken, you would need help*) I realize under the circumstances it is not for sale and probably never would be, but that would be so very exciting in many ways though if it were a possibility! But guess ne Chateau at a time is probably enough for anyone? lol But the two of you know how to make things happen it does happen and can. We do need to always believe in miracles they say, correct, as that is how things do happen to many people by the faith they carry.

I can’t believe my luck! Finding myself unable to go to sleep despite the late hour (or should I say very early morning over here) I reached for my ipad to peruse until my eyes eventually got heavy.😅 And what an exciting surprise I got seeing your notification upon opening Vivienne. You and Simon took us on a delightful tour of this stunning Chateau and grounds as only you can do. It was gorgeous both inside and out, thank you for sharing. I did love how the stables were repurposed as cafe seating too, because I feel so sad when these horse boxes (?) get taken out from some of the Chateaus that have old stables. I wish you all a very happy Easter full of blessings. 🙏🏻✝️🐣🐰🏰❤️

What a beautiful chateau. It seems to me that the charm of this place is it's simplicity. The rooms appear minimalistic with what you need but not lots of overwhelming textiles or colours that fight for your attention. Lots of repetitive elements both inside and in the garden. Absolutely gorgeous. Thankyou for showing us this chateau . ❤ from NZ.

My favorite chateau as well.....adore the sweet gate house....quite amazing! This chateau ALWAYS has the more gorgeous fresh floral arrangements! HUGE! Spent a lot of time photographing all these lovely arrangements. I even purchased a book from the gift shop specifically devoted to the floral arrangements! It's also great fun to leave the chateau....and drive back across the road behide the chateau, across the river and view her from the other side. No wonder, she is a Loire Valley Queen! Cheers!

Just amazing. I couldn't help but wonder how different the inside would be back in the day with only candles to light the interior. Maybe they had an early bedtime for that reason.

So much effort and thought has been put into making this a most enjoyable, immersive visit of this unique Loire chateau ,that it was so easy to imagine being there with you.
The interior and surrounding grounds are indeed glorious, but I have always found parterre gardens unnecessarily contrived and controlling of the true beauty of plants and nature, which often gets it far more right than man.

Thank you so much. I agree about nature. I love a formal garden but also seeing wildflowers by the side of the road makes my heart sing! 🥰🏰💖

What a wonderful Easter surprise. The chateau is beautiful and the gardens very formal. What surprised me was that the queens and Diane de Poitiers preferred pared down decorations compared to Versailles. Tapestries and beautiful beds for their romantic or obligatory duties! No frivolity. As if they designed the chateau for their husbands or paramour visiting to spend some time hunting with friends. Thank you for a superb vlog. Wishing you a very Happy Easter! Hugs from us, Marjory and Princess Dolly 💖💖
