This is so helpful! Hadn’t been able to find an example of this stitch with the extra warp string until now. I’m a beginner and needed this EXACT walkthrough...thank you!!!
I'm having issues, possibly because I'm doing miniatures? I haven't been doing anything other than sewing a button on until I fell in love with 1/12 scale dollhouses. I'm not very good at any of it but enjoy it 😉! I've made just a few things like a bedspread for the dollhouse but it has an hour glass thing going on . Any suggestions?
Hello there! :) Great question- I would recommend using a row of twining to secure the top and bottom rows. I think hemstitch could be nice to add a special touch to the ends of the weaving. You could use it to secure the ends of course- experiment and see which finish fits your design best.Hope this helps :)
Thank you for this! Using the different colored yarn made it much easier to understand 😁
Stitching with a bright color was so helpful

Again thank you. I made the mistake of thinking I was finished and just took it off the loom .
Very clear, thank you!

Do you just use the hem stitch at the bottom? First weave & I don't want to mess it up when taking it off the loom.
So when all the hemstitching is done is it now safe to cut all the extra warp threads?
To get the flush finish, it looks like she folded the warp threads and wove them in. Anyone chime in on this?
Hi! Can you start your tapestry with a hem stitch in order to secure the bottom?
