  • This video tells about the number of houses that can be electrified using a single wind turbine. Here the turbine took for calculation is the 3 MW one.
    Also this video tells about the new turbine from General Electricals, which is the Haliade X.

    Wind turbines were built all around my rural home....when I moved here there were none. I can tell you this: I hate them. I hate living near them. I'm up right now 11pm and I can hear the one they built closest to my house...INSIDE my house. I moved here and built an energy-efficient 900-square-foot house. It was my dream. I had found heaven in the peaceful, rural atmosphere. Now the horizons look dystopic....dotted with hundreds of giant white, spinning, noisy machines. It used to be just the sound of the birds and breeze in the trees....now I seldom have a single day without the noisy turbine, steadily strumming away...it's LOUD. They get tax breaks, meanwhile, my property taxes went up over 70% in one year after the turbines were built within sight of my house! Talk about insult to injury. Yes. I absolutely hate the #blattnerenergy turbines here in #millscountytexas I think Blattner should buy my property for top dollar so I can move away.....even though losing the house I built would be a hard hit. But I doubt they would even speak to me....they do not respond to those whose lives they disrupt.

      I'm with you ...not just because of noise...but the explosions I have seen on European news channels, the birds and animals who are affected by them and that they only put out 2% energy and are not biodegradable. BLADES ACTUALLY LEECH INTO GROUND BECAUSE ONE ELEMENT IN BLADES...AND THE BURY ONES NO LONGER WIRKING HOW LONG WILL WE NO LONGER HAVE LAND FOR FARMING. OR ANYTHING?? How many out there know Chins,India,Pakistan and African countries still are biggest polluters and are still building coal and oil burning factories??? Thesy use child labor and "basically skave labor to mine these ores...or the fat first solar panels that were made was made here and were safe...now just about everything comes from these countries or other third world countries...how many Pieces of junk can openers have you bought in the last 5 or more years??? BOYCOTT EVERY ITEM IN YOUR LIFE YOU CAN .BOYCOTT COMPANIES ECT WHO DECIDED ON THE climate, one world Government, woke,trsns ect ect b.s. I went back to basically how I grew up...making lots of my own stuff and growing as many garden items that would have been transported from these countries..we are now having the dollar devalued and big banks giving g our personal I fo to federal government...I'm sorry but it took me about 10 years to save just a hair over 309 in my saving acct...from saving change after buying have to have groceries ect...I rarely eat away from home...and I may buy new socks ect when I no longer repair them...People really need to be more self suffienct..and tell people like The Billionaires who want to be kings and Queens to go "SIT On It"

    Hi, love your channel and gives me great ideas for future eco businesses. I was wondering if you could make a video about how to utilize the food waste of restaurants and grocery stores in the US or other countries, and turn it into profit. I had an idea of maybe starting a mealworm farm and using their food waste, feed the mealworms while providing food for chickens/fish. It's just an idea that I haven't done much research on, but that would be a great video about utilizing food wastes for profit. Thanks, from your new sub. :)

    When talking about how many homes a wind turbine can generate electricity for, does it mean for a day or the year.

    one wind turbine from GE is about $2,800,000, that is insanely costly.

      Yes it's costly. But worthy.

      How much does a conventional power station cost ? You are looking at billions for any of them.

    So , at the US rate of consumption, a giant windmill pays for its self in 1 year?

    Plenty of misinformation in this doc. Too many inaccuracies with both stats and operating costs. A misconception is that once in place, a wind farm is free thereafter, which is a preposterous statement as maintenance and repairs are needed frequently. It also has to be operational for many, many years to pay for itself. Another big problem, that to the most part was unforeseeable is the price of electricity, which can drop dramatically with production and therefore cause wind and solar energy projects to become less profitable, which really matters when in most cases, there's private funding.

      This is the worst design of all. Most do not pay for themselves

    The efficiency does NOT change. You might be talking utilisation factor which goes change. No wind - no power, good wind - maximum power. THAT IS NOT EFFICIENCY. You sproued many many numbers which are meaningless to average people.

    How many kw=units

    • @EcoSnooki
      @EcoSnooki  Год назад +1

      One unit of electricity is equal to one kilowatt-hour. It is the amount of power required to use an appliance of 1000 watt or 1kW power rating for an hour.
