  • Re-uploaded to fix the blank frame in the original video 😋
    TRS Coral is part of the Grand Palladium Resort in Playa Mujeres. It is about a 45 minutes drive north of the Cancun airport.
    In this video we're focusing solely on the TRS side - an adults only resort of its own within this large resort complex. TRS calls their all-inclusive the 'infinite indulgence'. Unlike other places where the "adults-only" section can sometimes feel like a small area, TRS Coral has a pool, five restaurants and several bars as well as it's own beach area exclusively for its guests.
    TRS has become much more popular since Netflix filmed the second season of "Love is Blind" at this resort.
    TRS has several different room options to choose from. Most of the differences lie in the terraces or balcony views. We will make a separate video outlining our tips on choosing between the different room options.
    All guests are assigned a butler to help with restaurants and spa reservations and they use WhatsApp to send you the daily activities as well as answer any questions you may have.
    We show you the menus from the different restaurants as well as the beach area and the pool. The food was good although very challenging for a vegetarian or vegan.
    The drinks use high quality alcohol, even at the swim-up bar.
    We enjoyed our stay at TRS and we will definitely return. It is a great resort for groups of friends who enjoy vacationing together. We were visiting in order to attend a destination wedding.
    Thank you to team member, Jordan, for filming on this trip. 😊
    Thank you so much for choosing to watch our videos. We really appreciate you!

    Hi Nancy, great review as usual! No AI robot can ever replace you! I have never been to the northern part of Cancun. I love to give it a try one day. The only Grand Palladium I have stayed at was the one in Jamaica. I had a good time there. take care.

      Thank David! I really appreciate all of your comments!! 😊. The northern area of Cancun has some amazing beaches. Definitely include that area in your vacation search.
      It's funny, with some search engines those resorts only 'come up' if you search Cancun as a destination rather than Riviera Maya. I guess they have to narrow all the many resort options down in some way. 😁
      They are still not quite like the Jamaican beaches. Jamaica is gorgeous!

    Thank you for the great video! Very helpful 😊 I just had a question. Would you know if we have to get a reservation even if we plan to use the Capricho Buffet for dinner?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  9 месяцев назад +1

      We never ate at Capriccio for dinner (only breakfast and lunch) so I'm not positive. I would assume you do need to make a reservation with your Butler so you have a table at the time you want but I don't think you will have any problems with getting one. Sorry that is not more helpful. 😊

    Thanks Nancy. We laughed when you mentioned AI. It made us realize the video we watched before yours was AI!! We have been to VIM twice and are thinking of trying TRS Coral. Any comparative advice?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  10 месяцев назад +2

      Ah Thanks!! 😊
      What would you like to know in the comparisons?
      The alcohol is better at TRS than VIM.
      Activities are better at VIM.
      Restaurants are fairly equal in quality but there are fewer at TRS so I would give advantage to VIM.
      Service is better at TRS.
      Beach is subjective. Both resorts have that long board walk leading to the beach. VIM beach is longer. TRS has less seaweed.
      TRS is smaller.
      The Grand Palladium village is fun.
      Nightlife is similar.
      TRS rooms are nicer than VIM' S junior suites but VIM Golden rooms are comparable.
      For me, it would come down to which is priced better because I enjoy them both.
      Anything else I can compare? I probably missed some things. 😊

    Wow amazing review. I have a question for you. We are about to book a family (all adults) at TRS. My wife has trouble getting around but she can walk. I realize you can call for a golf cart, but that aside, is there an area that would be better for us to stay to be central for the pool and the restaurants, etc? Any insight you can give would be helpful. TIA

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! 😊 Yes, I actually recommend Building 1 closest to the beach. (there are two building #1s 🤔).
      The building #1 that is closest to the beach puts you right beside the pool, closest to the beach, and two of the restaurants are also in that building.
      The resort is fairly small so if you happen to feel like calling a cart it would only be necessary for dinner at the other 3 restaurants or the lobby bar.
      Enjoy your trip!!

    This was a great video! We have stayed in the TRS coral a few times and for the most part it was just amazing until last time we got a terrible food poisoning. We are now looking at the Iberostar grand paraiso to try something new and that is how I found your channel! If you were to chose between TRS coral and Iberostar grand paraiso which one would you chose? Thanks!

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! I'm so glad you were able to find our channel.
      Between TRS and Iberostar Grand it really depends on what you prioritize in a vacation.
      Rooms: TRS is more modern and all of them have butler service. The room options at TRS are nice with the two story loft suites being unique.
      Grand: rooms are Renaissance inspired and the entry level rooms are a bit worn in places. Concierge service is good. Butler service is better in the beach front rooms. Most rooms at the Grand are pretty much identical.
      TRS is a more active resort by far.
      Grand is quiet and very relaxation centered.
      Food is better at the Grand.
      Alcohol quality is high at both but cocktails were a bit more creative at Grand.
      Beach - beach is good at both but personally I prefer that the beach at the Grand is closer to the pool. They don't have that long boardwalk to the beach but that is just personal preference. Both resorts keep the beach clean and there is plenty of seating.
      We found the service better at the Grand.
      Personally, I prefer the Grand but only if I'm looking to relax. There is less to do than at TRS.
      Other resorts comparable to TRS are Excellence Riviera Cancun, Secrets Moxche, Excellence Playa Mujeres and Unico 2087.
      Hope that helps a bit. 😊 Have fun planning your vacation.

    This is a great video review, thank you for taking the time to share this! I’ll be going next month and I’m curious to know if it’s safe to use tap water to brush your teeth and have ice in your drinks?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  3 месяца назад +2

      Ice is fine. It is filtered water, frozen, and bagged.
      I avoid brushing my teeth with the tap water but my husband isn't very careful about it and he is usually (not always) ok.
      For me, better safe than having regrets in the water closet. 😜

    How is the night life? We are debating this resort, excellence playa mujeres, and Imperial Valentin for a group trip.

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  11 месяцев назад +2

      Honestly, not a ton of nightlife, except up at the Gravity bar at TRS.
      Valentin was a bit better with a band every night in the Plaza area. EPM probably has the most nightlife because of the way it is set up. The theater flows out to the outdoor bar area so something is always going on. Having been to all 3, my opinion would be that the best nightlife is EPM.

    Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much h, Steve S.

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you! 😊
      Shouldn't be a problem with knee issues. Every building has an elevator. You can easily call a golf cart to take you anywhere you want to go and you can use the boats into the village.
      There is a long boardwalk to the beach so you can avoid walking in the sand for most of it.
      A ground floor room might work best but there are still elevators if your preference is a different room.
      It is a smaller resort (the TRS side, I mean) so you are never far from anything.
      Hope that helps 😊

    Very informative video, thank you!! My partner and i are booking our first resort trip together and are highly interested in TRS. We were curious regarding the tip culture at this resort and how we can expect service to be influenced by this. We would be booking an all inclusive package.

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  4 месяца назад +2

      Glad it was helpful! Thank you. 😊
      Tipping helps for certain but it is not expected.
      It doesn't have to be a lot and they don't stand with their hand out for it but most people are tipping. Not every round, but it is happening.
      Service is good. Your butler will be expecting a tip if he/she/they have done a good job for you throughout your stay.
      Couples (Jamaica) and Sandals resorts have a no tipping allowed culture which is really refreshing.

    Great video ! I’m celebrating my 40th birthday with my husband. It will be our first time in Cancun . Do you recommend valentin or TRS coral ?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  4 месяца назад

      Thanks!! 😊 It depends on if you want a smaller resort or bigger. It also depends on how long you are staying. A week? More? Less?
      Valentin is much bigger than TRS unless you count the Grand Palladium side and the village.
      If you choose Valentin, personally I would pick a Golden room category. The Jr suites really need to be renovated.
      Valentin has more restaurant options and there are no kids at any of them so if you stay longer that is helpful. If you stay less than a week it probably isn't a concern.
      TRS is also a nice resort. Fewer adult only restaurants but much better alcohol selection and service at TRS. The loft rooms are a great option for beautiful views and a second half bath but even the entry level rooms at TRS are very nice.
      They both have a lot going on at their main pools. Beaches are both great Valentin's being much longer, of course. Both resorts do a decent job cleaning up the sargassum.
      Hope that helps a bit. If you have any other questions just ask. 😁

    Nice video. However, I wish you spoke more about the beach. For example, is there a private beach area for TRS? Do they serve food and drinks by the beach? Also, is there a quiet pool?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks. There is not much to say about the beach except what I mentioned that it is very nice, clean, and there is less seaweed because it is blocked by Isla Mujeres, off of the coast. Yes.it is private and Grand Palladium guests are not supposed to go there (although they do sometimes). All beaches are public so there may be vendors but we didn't have any issues.
      There is a walkway from the pool to the beach that can be very hot.
      There is beach service, as I mentioned, and it is pretty good but can be slow at busier times of day. It seems to be one server for every 15-20 chairs or at least it was like that during our stay. We didn't eat at the beach as we really enjoyed Helios beach club but we had drink service on the beach which was good.
      There is only one large pool for TRS guests unless you book a swim-out/up room. The swim-outs have smaller pools that run the length of the buildings for guests who book those rooms. It is not a private pool for your room like some other resorts have but shared.
      Hope that helps a bit more. 😊

      @newtravelescapes  7 месяцев назад +1

      Just checked in with others on our team and a couple of them ordered food to the beach from the server. Tacos, nachos, burgers and more. They said it was good but a bit slower than they expected.
