the late, GREAT Darlene Conley. I remember her as Rose on Y&R but i grew up w/ her as Sally Spectra on B&B & next to Stephanie Forrester, she was my FAV character on the show. I was very sad when she died.
Whew Darlene was awesome. I grew up knowing her as Sally Spectra so it was hard to watch this. But gosh she did a great job. Props to Tricia Cast too who was a desperate mom trying to get her baby back "Oh please! Please just give me back my baby; we won't say anything. I want my baby. Please"

This was my first full summer of watching y&r, 1986. They always did the summer teen storylines. There was some other girl who was also pregnant who got caught up with Rose along with Nina... I'm forgetting her name... If I recall right, this other girl had more of a happy ending... Cricket helped her reunite with her parents and she kept her baby... unlike Nina

Darlene Conley played the villianise quite well.. just as easy pezzy....i believe she was the head of a prostitution ring on the show as well trying to recruit Nicky from the bayou if im not mistaken.I almost forgot she was head of the black market baby ring stealing babies for profit.... Poor Nina was so gullible..... I remember how dangerous it was for Cricket to go undercover as a pregnant unwed mother to be...but at the end they found out where the baby was....She raked in hundred's of thousands for thise babies.... I didn't really appreciate her acting until she moved on to Y&R playing Sally Spectra running a fashion house with her lovely daughter Macy... I just love the way she went toe to toe with Stefanie Forrester... And even moreso when she went over Stefanie's head with Eric's approval putting together the fashion run down on the queen mary....
theMamboDVS Yes! If only I could turn back the hands of Time. I would’ve saved all those VHS tapes, my mom had of the stories. She’d record them daily, and watch after work.
It was circa 2010. Funny I can't remember the exact year either. But Nina came back to Genoa City after being away for years because she was finally able to track down her long lost son who turned out to be a Genoa City police detective named Ronan. Then later hey were both written off the show, except Nina still pops up every now and then.

I just remember the black market baby ring 💍 stealing babies from unwed mothers and the storyline with Darlene Conley still playing Rose as the head madam in the prostitution ring trying to recruit Nicky from the bayou.. Nicky was thinking she would just be a model until almost being raped by a gentleman Rose set her up with..... Nicky like Nina was so gullible back then... I remember a crazed fan who worship Nicky's stripping at the byou kidnapping her and trying to kill her at abandoned cabin in the woods....Paul and Andy rescued her within minutes of losing her life..... it was scary...

Paul and Andy rescued her within minutes of being strangled....he hated women who stripped reminding him of his own mother who neglected him doing the same thing for money..

this is ludicrous how The late DC was doing Y@R during this time. Coz I've seen videos of GH during this era where she plays Trixie, a diner waitress. You can't do more than one soap at a time. You have to finsih one to start another. That's odd and illegal. things that make you go hmmmm

Rose had lots of scenes with Nicki Reed who would go on to be Nicki Newman. These were great days for Y & R. 1970s were some good scenes.
