"The seed out of which everything for a film comes is the script. Even though there are so many important things, the script has within it as it does in the theatre or written music all the possibilities that all those other talents can then bring to flower"
F.F Coppola.
Further we must explore the aspects of filmmaking, and I could not look over the fact that screenwriting is the most important thing when it comes to making any movie. To the unsung heroes of filmmaking who must face blank piece of paper every time.

I went to a spelling contest and made it into the final. The word I had to spell was gorgeous so I started of with a G followed by an A then R and finally O. I won the contest instantly - the jury cheered at me and the other opponents were not allowed to spell their words. Think about that!
what?
Gero Z oh never mind I just realise the name of the Chanel is GARO
how you spell your own name wrong and win
It's spelled 'off'. You started 'off' with a G...
The movie is a canvas and the narrative is the paintbrush.
o
And i thought i would only see u in anime related vids.
why is this guy everywhere?
So you just kinda go on every type of RUclips video
Don't tell me no one saw what's written in the English captions at 3:12
"Somebody give Garo a job doing trailers and movies. Holy crap i love his stuff"
Damn right, boy!
I don't use caption lmao.. But glad to know people secretly admiring Garo
@@smithereens5517 I turned them on to find the russian translation but found something else
As a screenwriter, it’s so moving to see our artform honoured like this!! Thank you for inspiring me to keep pursuing my craft and remembering the importance of the words behind the films that mean so much to us (P.S loved the inclusions of Parasite, Greta Gerwig, Sorkin’s words on intention and obstacle that we build our stories around and use to [hopefully] connect humanity).
Charlie kufman
I want to learn filmmaking. So I'll start learning script writing.
How to start? Any kind words, from your experience?
@@aryanbhardwaj3843 Practice storytelling itself! Humans do it naturally all day every day with each and don't notice. If you pay attention to how people speak, communicate, + express themselves: there's an effortless structure and flow that perfectly aligns with the classic 3 acts. if you can combine that with a clear theme that means something to you, you're on the way to a story that resonates with audiences. Basically, you can learn the fundamentals of screenwriting in a week or so, the rest is up to you and honing your own practice. Good luck :)
@@angelstjames4524 thank you so much for your feedback. Much appreciated. You are a kind-hearted soul.
Always capturing the essence of the theme perfectly. Also, bonus for the amazing variety of movies from all around the world.
I'm actually really pleased that you use materials from movies all around the world, which makes your videos even more interesting. As a Russian myself, I sincerely enjoy seeing clips from our movies here and there, so thank you for that) You are really mastering the art of meaningful edits, and that is a pretty rare thing on modern youtube. Good job)
As far as I know the Garo is russian. Or he is just fluent in russian and is from post-soviet union country.
Love you ended it on improv from Robin Williams, showcasing that there's no true formula to screenwriting, only the way you choose to approach it, the way that's most true to you. Great job as always:)
That was good... because they used REAL Feelings...
As an aspiring screenwriter, I say thank you. Thank you for bringing to light the ones who are often cast to the shadows of the director. Even if we prefer the shadow to the spotlight, I say thank you
you're unveiling the beauty of every single process involved in making the masterpiece that a movie is and i'm thanking you from the bottom of my heart for making this magic happen.
This editing is hardwork....., Full of dedication, loved it.
Loving this series! These videos are showing me that Filmmaking is truly an art, not just something people get paid to do. Love your channel, love your content keep it up!
I can only agree with you there. I find it hard to stomach the fact that some people's favourite films are things with bad acting, bad scripts, bad everything (Not pointing any fingers... Fast and Furious). Cinema truly is an art, and many people don't understand that. I have only praise for GaroStudios, who is opening up this world to the public! :D
@@tobylacey4024 An amazingly written comment with only truth behind it! I've watched all of Garo's videos and I've cried with them. The emotions that Garo brings out in his videos is truly moving to say the least.
I usually don't comment in RUclips. But I learned that you're georgian. And I am from Azerbaijan.
I found you video about Tenth. And your videos are so insipiring and warmly incredible. Thanks for all.
Love from Azerbaijan.
I'm began write the script for movie. I know, no one won't see it, but this is really exciting. You make your characters, your story and ect. Especially i am love write dialogues!
Thanks for this video!
your videos always get me. i love theatre and acting but im always struggling with it as well. i seem to be surrounded by people who just don’t genuinely appreciate it or just wont give me the chance to really grow as an actor, and i get heartbroken and wanna give it all up. then i watch your videos and you make me remember why i love theatre, why i love acting and films and everything about this art form. so thank you for posting these really beautiful videos, it means a lot 🥰
Thank you for continuing creating beautiful, simple pieces of art that honestly helps me to understand film more and more.
The one video that Influenced me to be a Screenwriter. Writing is the best thing that occured since the origin of mankind. And I love it!!! Thank you for this video :)
Fantastic video. Love this a lot.
Behind the Curtain Thank you very much!!
Such an original video. This was a masterpiece in editing. Showing the script portions at the bottom accompanying incredibly written movies. I loved seeing The Shining in this, one of the best films ever made for me. It was lovely seeing that movie get recognition for its writing in this video, as with all of the other movies that appeared. Your latest series of videos is some of the most impressive videos I’ve ever seen, mainly because of how simplistic yet wonderful they all are. Thank you for this stroke of beauty
Your love and respect for cinema as an art is just stunning and mindblowing with this series. It shows a lot about you and you’re sharing art in the most Beautiful way possible, through art. Through what you love, editing. Thank you for this. As an editor myself i know the work, research and love that goes into making something like this and it really shines through.
Thank you so much for the warm words, much appreciated !
The little improv at end. My god robin williams🙌🏻🙌🏻
This is definitely one of the more underrated pieces of art that came out of your Cinema ‘album’
You think so? Thank you very much
The person who made the subtitles obviously loves this guy just like the rest of us. I mean, the last subtitle line read " Someone give this guy to edit movie trailers, I love his stuff". Great Job.
What I love is that just after Greta Gerwig says "you don't change anything in a script, there's no improv" , you show one of the most famous improv scene from Good Will Hunting. It goes to show that there is no one way to do things in art.
Scripts are the foundation for the house of cinema.
This video touches me as a writer. I find writing to be an enduring, beautiful thing that blossoms the most in the world of fiction. Whether that's books, television, or movies. Writing is the fuel for people's imaginations and the glue that holds together worlds they are experiencing. Bad writing undermines the experience and good writing elevates it.
1:23-1:26 What movie is this?
I am so in love with this series. I remember stumbling upon a doctor who video of yours after an inevitable break up back in 2017. Your videos helped me so much. As an avid movie watcher and a media student, I appreciate your videos so much. Might use your video in my class one day for a presentation or something.
A loyal fan and follower, from India
It's amazing what a single sentence on a piece of paper can blossom into!!! Great editing and powerful message as always! 🙏🏾
Brilliant, as always buddy!
You are doing an amazing work mate. If I am ever going to write a screenplay, this video will be one of the major factor for that happening.
Thank you
This is what keeps me alive. In times like these, when one is living inside itself the whole day, unable to go out and build connections something like this turns up in your feed and you feel alive again, just for a matter of seconds, and it s worth it, it all makes sense again and you get that nostalgic end of the day feeling. I think that we could be friends
I'm a simple man I love the film for it's script and I love the song for it's lyrics.
Loving this cinema-dedicated-videos series. Truly is what everyone in the comments section are saying - art. Congratulations on 300K followers David! Well deserved, you're an inspiration to many.
❤️🇬🇪
Back at it again, with the brilliant videos on cinema!
Your videos are one of the reasons I'm so in love with movies and cinematography in general. It's the most beautiful of all arts, for me.
I love how your videos reveal connections through editing, associations that tell their own stories with their own voices
"you should have this little voice inside of you saying: tell the truth." Thank you for this video and for this awesome edit.
Не ожидал увидеть в этом видео фрагмент из фильма "Stalker " 1979 года. (Are there any Russians?)
Я тоже не ожидал)
You don't have to be a Russian in order to admire the legendary Tarkovsky
Script is the medium for narrative storytelling and characters flows through it.
This is beautiful thanks TheGaroStudios for all you video of cinema,
LONG LIFE TO CINEMA!!!
THIS.. THIS VIDEO IS ALL I NEEDED TO END THE DAY. thank you my lad
Another beautiful tribute!! I enjoyed how you added interviews, and chose to use such a wide variety of films. The choice to play a scene with the script alongside it was absolutely perfect. Can't imagine how long it took to edit, but amazing work!!
Beautiful as always! I hope to see your work on the big screen one day :)
I know it takes a lot of effort but can you do one more. I just can't get over it. Thanks for the video.
DAMN, you're working lately
I am LOVING these new videos ! AMAZING ! So moving
Your videos are so well put and moving- they inspire me every time to go and pursue my dreams to become a director! I truly admire your work, please never stop making them!
I love you included the scripts with the scenes! Also love the improv part too haha!
Thank you for this! Great encouragement to me as an aspiring screenwriter!
That Good Will Hunting improv was best. Btw great video.
Thank you so much for doing this. I don't know if you were planning on doing it anyways but I'm so happy you did either way.
Brilliant as always! Is that Kurosawa at the end? @TheGaroStudios ?
Online college course at the moment, have to write a feature length screenplay for the end of the month and lo and behold you drop this video. Spooky stuff.
You can't suggest better channel than The Garo Studio
i am so glad i found your channel
You're just cashing in on this concept now!!.... and that's amazing! Thank you.
This is a fucking master piece of art and work. Really nice.
Basically, writing a script is also about writing your weaknesses, transforming them into the characters you create, and use those weaknesses as a strength to tell the world about who you are through a script. Like writing a message through a song. No one wants a conversation about people's problems through a normal conversation, they want to understand through what they can't turn away from like a film, a song, or anything people can like. A script are the pieces of the writer, that make a film's filmography a complete structure of that writer's life and imagination. That's what I believe about screenwriting, even from this video.
you're so good at this. your videos fill my soul
Needless to say at this point, I’m sure, but thoroughly outstanding work once again!
2:42 seriously I couldn't agree more ❤🔥
As a Bengali,I would've love to see Satyajit Ray.His style was more unique. He used to make sketches to visualize the scene clearly.I think that also helped the actors to work accordingly with the director's vission.
Just wanted to say thank you, i appreciate your videos so much!
Обожаю такой формат, завораживает и вдохновляет ❤️
I am watching your video from far away lands. I feel lucky thank you
1.Turn on English subtitle
2.@ 3:12 💓💓
Every video you put out is amazing!
Смотрю 100 раз и всё ещё бросает в мурашки
It's amazing as always well done mate 👏 👏
Somebody give Garo a job doing trailers and movies holy crap I love his stuff
Life is like a script... you are the writer of your own life:)
Thank you for making this
Kubrick and Jean-Luc Godard moments ❤
Important for entertainment. Not that important for surviving a pandemic, but still, movies help with boredom during a quarantine.
Cinema is an art form, not just entertainment.
i love you thegarostudios!
Fucking amazing man keep up the amazing work - I am truly blessed to witness these videos in my life
Really glad I came across your page!
Fantastic!!
Great bird eye views 🥇
This is so beautiful amazing work!
Thanks man, just thanks.
Screenwriters forget visuals are most important, not words.
beautiful video, garo
I love this!
Excellent!
If possible, also see Satyajit Ray's films, there's a lot to earn from his scripts and films too, films like Pather Panchali, Sonar Kella, Apu Trilogy among a few, as a fellow cinephile, I hope you'd love them @TheGaroStudios
Screenwriting is sacrificing oneself to built his own building.
always loved your works. you inspires us
I am obsses with your videos
this is the most important thing in cinama, i guess. screenwriting good, film good.
