On the Sabbath we are restored spiritual and made ready for another week by God

Col 2 and Rom 14. If you want to keep it great, however it's not a requirement. The keeping of the Sabbath is the only commandment not mentioned in the New Testament. Jesus is our rest...Matt 11 and Hebrews1 and 2.

@@nathanburr3994 With the argument you are using then you shouldnt shave your beard either nor wear clothes of different fabric. We are not under the law. In Acts 15 the council at Jerusalem there were 4 laws given for gentiles who never knew the law to obey, if the sabbath was one it would have been there. That council James gets it from Ezekial 33.......
Loving God we obey His commandments i.e. the 9 mentioned by Jesus explicitly, our rest is in Jesus. Read Colossians 2 and Romans 14 also Paul teaches it.
By no means can you tell another believer they MUST keep the Sabbath....

I am Christians and I keep the Sabbath because we are commanded to keep the commandments. Sabbath to me is a rest from the news, from what's going on in the world and from doing my own will, that for me includes working on my hobbies.
That said I look forward to Heaven and the ultimate rest. God communicates with me through dreams and I have had several where I was in completely peace. No rush, no obligation for example, no time to be somewhere, no thinking about anything, just being in the moment with zero worries or cares. Complete rest.
I can only give an example - sitting on a small hill overlooking a vast sea of wheat and watching the clouds slowly float over and the wind blowing across making long gentile waves in the wheat. Just stillness, joy, no rush, no time just being in the moment.

My husband and I keep the Sabbath, because it is a commandment of God. At no time did God say not to keep his commandments. I, personally, did not believe it mattered whether it was a Saturday, or Sunday, as both day names are pagan in origin, but because my invalid mother in law, who could not leave the house, was a SDA, we kept the Saturday sabbath at home, (once my hubby and I gave ourselves to Jesus), in respect of her. Since her death, we continue to keep the sabbath on a Saturday, devoting the day to rest and immersing ourselves in God's word and I find it very refreshing to the mind and spirit. On Sunday we attend a small, devout, Baptist church. Every day God centres in my life, day and night, thanks to the gift of the Holy Spirit in my life.

Rest assured that the day the world calls Saturday is the day God calls Sabbath and not the day the world calls Sunday.

Saturday is only in English and it’s the Roman Calendar’s name just as it was predicted would change times and laws in Daniel 7:25 “… and think to change times and laws”
40-50 of the top languages use the word Sabbath for the 7th day of the week:

      • Portuguese: Sábado
      • Italian: Sabato
      • Romanian: Sâmbătă
      • French: Samedi (shortened, but from Sabbatum diēs, “Sabbath day”).
      3. Greek:
      • Sávvato (Σάββατο) - From the Hebrew Shabbat.
      4. Slavic Languages:
      • Russian: Subbota (Суббота)
      • Polish: Sobota
      • Czech: Sobota
      • Bulgarian: Събота (Sŭbota)
      • Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian: Subota.
      5. Arabic:
      • As-Sabt (السبت) - Directly from Hebrew Shabbat.

Where's is that explained in the new covenant? Our daily lives as Christians should reflect worship, if you read the book of Acts after the birth of the church Acts 2:37 onwards... The believers worshipped daily, there were no special days whatsoever, nevertheless Romans 14 addresses these differences that Christians have, to some a day is very special yet to others all the days are alike, but what stands is that we do it to honour the Lord, in our gatherings, church meetings, prayer meetings, fastings etc that is all worship to God

Glorying in the LORD, and not in men, is what I read in Scripture. I do not blur the 7th and 1st days together, but see the significance of each, one being my moral duty to God, and the other as 'honoring the Son, even as I honor the Father', believing in God and in Christ, the Resurrection, and the Life. The Person and work of Christ is 'life and peace', and Salvation (Lu.2:30).

First Sabbath is not in the ten Commandments, but during the creation of this universe. For YHVH Elohim blessed and sanctified it as a rest day, every mankind should come into it once a week. By doing this we accept and admit that Hua is our creator. The sign of creation is Sabbath, the sign of freedom from dead is Yeshua Ha Masiach resurection on Sunday.
Since Yeshua Ha Masiach is The Lord of Sabbath, we have to come to Hua prepared day of blessed and sanctified rest in and with Yeshua that is Sabbath. Like Yeshua Ha Masiach and His disciples enjoy the Sabbath by doing good, we can do the same enjoy this blessed and sanctified day with our family without worry being cursed as ancient believe for our creator Yeshua Ha Masiach corrected the meaning and function of Sabbath that Sabbath is created for man not man for Sabbath.

    Yeshayah 53
53 Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the Zero’a Hashem [Yeshayah 52:10] revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a Shoresh (Root, Shoresh Yishai, Moshiach, Yeshayah 11:10, Sanhedrin93b) out of a dry ground; he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire [Chaggai 2:7] him.
3 He is despised and chadal ishim (rejected by men); a man of sorrows, and acquainted with suffering; and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our sufferings, and nasah (carried [Vayikra 16:22; Yeshayah 53:12)] our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, [i.e., like a leper is stricken] smitten of G-d, and afflicted [see verse 8 below].
5 But he was pierced [Yeshayah 51:9; Zecharyah 12:10 Sukkah 52a, Tehillim 22:17 Targum Hashivim] for our transgressions, he was bruised mei’avonoteinu (for our iniquities); the musar (chastisement) (that brought us shalom [Yeshayah 54:10] was upon him [Moshiach]; and at the cost of his (Moshiach’s) chaburah (stripes, lacerations) we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own derech (way; see Prov 16:25); and Hashem hath laid on him [Moshiach] the avon (iniquity, the guilt that separates from G-d) of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a seh (lamb; see Shemot 12:3) to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who of his generation declared? For he was cut off [Daniel 9:26; Vayikra 17:10] out of Eretz Chayyim [this refers to the mot of Moshiach Ben Dovid, see v.12] mipesha ami (for the transgression of my people [Yisroel]) nega (plague cf Ps 91:10) lamo ([fell] on him [i.e., Moshiach; in light of Ps 11:7 and Job 22:2 we are warranted in saying the suffix is a singular, "him," not "them". Cf Gen 9:26-27; Deut 33:2; Isa 44:15; also compare Divrey Hayamim Alef 21:17]).
9 And he made his kever (grave) with the resha’im, and with the oisher (rich man; see Mt 27:57-60) bemotayv (in his deaths, intensive plural should be translated singular, death); because he had done no chamas (violence), neither was any mirmah (deceit) in his mouth. T.N. We stray as sheep; we return in Moshiach as children (zera); the Techiyas HaMoshiach (Resurrection of Moshiach) predicted in v. 10 [Dead Sea Scrolls Isaiah Scroll says Moshiach "will see the light [of life];" see also the Targum HaShivim]
10 Yet it pleased Hashem to bruise him; He hath put him to suffering; when Thou shalt make his nefesh an asham offering for sin, he (Moshiach) shall see zera [see Psalm 16 and Yn 1:12 OJBC], He shall prolong his yamim (days) and the chefetz Hashem (pleasure, will of Hashem) shall prosper in his [Moshiach’s] hand.
11 He [Hashem] shall see of the travail of his [Moshiach’s] nefesh, and shall be satisfied; by knowledge of him [Moshiach] shall Tzadik Avdi ["My Righteous Servant," Moshiach, Zecharyah 3:8, Yirmeyah 23:5; Zecharyah 6:11-12, Ezra 3:8 Yehoshua, Yeshua shmo] justify many (Ro 5:1); for he [Moshiach] shall bear their avon (iniquities).
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his nefesh unto mavet (death); and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he nasah (Lv 16:22, carried) (like the Yom Kippur scapegoat) the sin of many, and made intercession [did the work of a mafgi’a, intercessor] for the transgressors [see Lk 23:34 OJBC].

Who put it on hold? Why do you think Yeshua lied? Matt 5:17-18? Why did Paul, John, James keep obeying the command 15+yrs after the cross? Why did James state de-facto that the gentiles would be learning the law and prophets on every Shabbat?

@@minecraftanimation8741 Hello brother... one of the tings I did was to use an excel spread sheet. I made a list of the 10 commandments. Then to the left of that list I went and found all ten mentions of them prior to Mt Sinai. Then to the right of them all mentions after the cross.
When you do that you too can see that those ten are NOT covenant specific laws. They are basic Yahweh laws that the covenants are built on top of.
      1. I'm a human and its wrong to have any other god. Its wrong to murder an innocent person. That's true for all people and for all time. Doesn't matter what a persons religion is or isn't. It's wrong and we will stand in judgement for it.
      2. My name is NOT Noah, I've not been commanded to build an ark. That commandment is not for me and you today.
There is no such thing as dispensations of Yah's laws in the Bible. Rather what is seen are basic laws and covenants built on top of those laws.

Hello, have you ever ask why Gentiles never knew about the 4th commandment (to keep 7th day Sabbath holy) except Isreal?
I'm not a Jews and I never knew about the 7th day Sabbath until I started reading the old Testament, but I knew that murder is wrong, stealing is wrong, lie is wrong But never knew about the 4th commandment. I also know growing up that Loving others is a good thing to do.
Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, numbers are books based on the old covenant law given in Sinai and people quoted to say is for us today.
What is for us today is Loving one another and that also in the "book of the law". Galatians 5:14.." the entire law is fulfill in this single command, Love your neighbor as yourself".

      1. Loving our Father and our neighbor are the most basic laws of Yah. They did not become a new thing in the so called "new testament". They have been in place since the beginning.
      2. Gentiles absolutely knew the 7th day Sabbath is a basic law of Yah. James stated it as de-facto in Acts 15:21 and Paul told Colossae and Laodicea to not let anyone judge them for keeping it. (meaning both jews and pagans)
      3. What you and I learned from protestant Christianity is NOT the referent we should base our beliefs on. The Holy word of Yahweh & Yeshua IS the referent. For me it was churches of christ who were formed out of the restoration movement of the early 1800s. When I discovered that the laws of Yah were not "nailed to the cross" (Col ch2) I did a deep dive study on the subject.
Nowhere in the Bible do you ever see the basic laws of Yah done away with or put on hold. It's absolutely not found. PLUS our lord and savior Yeshua actually said (twice) they they would NOT pass away. Matt 5:17-18
Brother your battling not with the Holy word of Yah. Your barrier is protestant theology of dispensationalism. It is like having a filter over your minds eye. You simply cannot see what the scriptures exhibit because of that presupposition.
I challenge you to take off the filter of protestant eisegesis and simply do exegetical studies.

"Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything that is written in the law "no one can be made righteous by the law because the righteous will live by faith" "anything that does not proceed from faith is sin". In case converts don't realise the religion that calls itself "judaism" is called the synagogue of satan religion 2000 years ago in the bible. OT Judaism/Jews/Gentiles/Israel stopped existing 2000 years ago. Saul/Paul considered his old religion to be dung compared to the new covenant. So for the converts put your old religion behind you.
