25:56 Feels like yesterday!
After listening to this podcast I've worked it out. Ruby must be The Rani, humanised. Was there a pocket watch in her baby clothes?
I think the Duchess, played by Indira Varma this season, will be the new Rani. When translated to Hindi, “duchess” would be pronounced “raani”.
The first time we see Mrs Flood is when she's arguing about the big blue box blocking the sidewalk and she had no idea what it was but yet at the end she says "never seen a tardis before". That truly does not make any sense. I thought the Devil's chord was a great idea but very poorly executed I remarked on another channel that I'll give it a 2 out of 10.
I guess I’m in the minority here as someone thrilled to see fresh hosts? No hate at all to any previous host, I just adore Shabaz, I’ve watched him for years on TikTok! Lovely to see him here! 🔷💙🔷
Ruby's her own daughter, RTD's that basic.
THANKS for this!!!!
bill 12 and nardole went to mars too
Joining the chorus of people who think the "northern accent needs subtitles" nonsense should have been edited out. It's ironic to hear such classist, Southern elitism from someone who prides themselves on celebrating diversity.
What the Hell is....that???
Space babies was O.K. . Not awful but not great either. I enjoyed the devils chord more. Still I’m excited to see the other episodes and how it all ties in together. Specially with the comment of the one who waits .
Yeah, Space Babies was a not bad first episode for the new series but Devil’s chord was just amazing and blows the first episode out of the water in comparison.
I am hoping they bring back Maestro for a future episode cause they were such a good villain and made me excited for future episodes where the other Legions of the Toymaker may appear.
I think the first episode is always wild remember adipose.. literally fat..custard and fish Fingers.. even the first of the revival with mannequins
@ShabazSays wish they used telepathy to speak rather than cgi cause jeez
@@Theoneandonlydramaqueen. yeah. Honestly I wished the episode was about the doctor trying to fix ruby after she stepped on a butterfly. I feel like that episode could have been more interesting than what we got
In the Dot-to-Dot Easter egg section no mention of Susan???
Having reviewed podcast created by the company that runs the thing they are reviewing seems very …. Like Propaganda…. Pretty much everyone I’ve seen commented on how uncanny valley the babies were yet here it’s bold….
Space Babies is RTD's Kill The Moon
That was my exact thought process 10 minutes into the episode.
ehh I dunno about that lol
Nothing is as bad as Kill the Moon.
Space Babies lacked both the pathos of Kill The Moon and the vibes throwing back to classic base-under-siege stories. Peter Harness was the best writer of that era and I don't think Doctor Who has ever reached the heights of the Zygon arc once he stopped writing for the show
@@MrCanuck111 you clearly never saw orphan 55
It is so embarassing how none of these hosts seem to know Doctor Who at all
Not really I've encountered quite a few NuWho fans who know absolutely nothing or very little about the Classic Era - maybe aware of the big stories but that's it. Most only focus on the "lore" of NuWho.
@@Mark-nh2hs they don't even know NuWho. They refer to the Doctor as "Doctor Who" and seem to not even know what just happened in the 60th specials.
I’ve been watching it for years! Why would the BBC hire people who don’t know the show! I’ve watched every episode!
It's all about DEI and ESG
@@dattmayThe character was referred to in the show as 'Doctor Who' in Series 10.
10:22 OKAY...
Oh hell no, they got rid of Christel AGAIN? 😑👎
The show is great, this is not. Feels very gossipy and immature.
Loving the jumper.
Ngl was genuinely terrified when that baby got attacked by the bogey man. I screamed into my screen because of all Doctor who writers RTD would kill a baby and I was happy he didn’t
ruby is not the bad guy she is the daughter of the bad guys
I cant say i like the presenters, some random radio dj and some random tik toker, neither seem to know enough about doctor who enough to answer basic questions about it, the writer is alright
I’ve been watching it since I was a kid.. watched the old series with my dad before the revival then haven’t ever missed an episode.. also Nadia has been watching since 2005 so we’re not random.. fans don’t have to have dedicated fan pages
@@ShabazSaysok??? Name every doctor who episode ever made.
@@roguexxrenegadeyou first 😂
@@ShabazSays boy replying to every negative comment on the literal OFFICIAL DOCTOR WHO page is not good PR. Keep it up and one of the higher ups is going to call you in for a meeting LMAO
@@roguexxrenegade I’m doing anything wrong.. I’m just helping clarify any misconceptions ❤️
Can the woman host let them speak
This has been dumbed down to moron levels. I give it three weeks before cancellation.
More like ~2 years. Disney paid for 2 full Seasons and they were already filmed. So they will be out despite terrible viewership numbers (2.2 million).
Well they told us not to watch….happy to oblige
This was a pretty good first episodes! I actually thought that the new hosts did a great job and I can't wait to get to know them more over the course as this season plays out. Come on guys, it might not be for you but at least give them a chance. Also loving the set!!
Thank you for your lovely comment! It’s a brand new experience but I’ve loved doctor who since I was a kid I used to watch the old series with my dad who grew up in the 60s and 70s to be a part of it was such an honour and it’s shame how many people have just assumed we know nothing about the show.. ❤
I miss crystal Dee.
Honestly looks like dahmer took a different path and ended up in fashion school
This new line up doesn’t really work. Such a shame - it was great before.
i'm sorry, i tried i really did but i'm just not here for this vibe. no hate to the people working on this but i miss Juno, Tyrell and Christal
Boom ! Thanks Mr. Moffat!
Who is the creepy narcissistic psychopath with the cartoon moustache?
Absolutely shocking lol
No im sorry im out, bring back the original team. They knew what they were talking about. This is so dumbed down its laughable, sorry
Bring Charlie Craggs back
Not live? Why. I'm sure last time it was live
No I think it was a premiere
Yeah last time it was live
Premieres are not the same thing as live. It's never been live. Premieres look like they are live, but they aren't. Pay more attention.
New host's it's absolutely awful, bring back the old team, pleas
I'm a New-vian 😅
Welcome to the Whoniverse, Newvian! 👋
All these Easter Eggs are the most basic Doctor Who facts ever. It's just general knowledge.
I feel like It's aimed at new viewers, so if these two episodes were someone's first episodes, they won't know anything prior. I think, simple fact is, this pod isn't for us long-time viewers, which is ok.
We have enough content and podcasts
An inclusive space? Well, unless you’re from the North. I am so tied of Southern digs at Northern accents. For a writer, one would expect you to write less cliched lines!
Just no.
