No idea why this hasn't uploaded in 1080p, when it was recorded in 4k- apologies in advance. Dissapointed, as this is one of my favourite videos to date.
Would you still recommend a res delete a year later? Tempted to do mine but undecided see mixed comments from people who have done it.
Much needed mod to get started with! 🔥 pops and bangs is amazing! Don’t do a straight pipe it’s ridiculously loud and will spoil the S3 comfort
Haha. My brothers RS3 is straight piped, so I defo will not. However, plan is to get an exahust on this- I've got one in mind, so watch out for that!
You should measure the exhaust loudness using decibels meter. Give us a better indication how loud it is 💪🏽

If you get a res delete done is there a way to go back to stock if u dont like the final noise?
Yeah, when you go get it done, ask whoever is doing it to give you your original part back. So you can change it back when you want.

Mine is a 67 reg. Yours is a pre face lift. I no longer have the paddle shift extensions, I have the fixed replacement URUS paddles. Have a look on ebay? You'll get some for sure. Although, on the PFL I'm sure their the RS3 styles ones?

I don't think it's loud. It's perfect just a small sound enhancement. Driving around casually with the music on, you can't hear a thing. It's defo worth it!

Which version of S3 do You have? 300/310 PS? With the GPF filter (2019-2020) ?
310PS pre GPF Filter.

Easy bro! It’s a 67 plate, so no PPF filter. I’ve heard the PPF filters S3’s are still in development stages for a lot of tuning! Kinda glad mine isn’t.

Just a quick question, does the res delete affect the warranty??
Yes it makes the exhaust warranty invalid
No it does not void the warranty at all. Don't listen to anyone who states it does! I am proof that it doesn't. Since my res delete, I've had work done under warranty on my S3 (I have no reason to lie). Res delete does not affect the way the car driver, so why would it void the warranty! DO IT! 💪
Ranj Sahota yea sure it does not affect the engine warranty or the electronic warranty. But it affects the exhaust warranty. Call your dealer and they’ll tell you this

@@S3Ranj if you're a VAG guy you might like the BAM platform (8L S3, 1.8T) or perhaps even the old diesels (i.e. the PDs) - always been a petrol guy, drove a pd, changed my view on diesels massively

When I had it, no I didn't experience any drone
Got a res delete on my TT. no drone either. Def gives it a sportier note and I’m glad I got it done for minimal cost compared to a full exhaust

Yes bro! Yes, I only have the res delete done to my exhaust. I got mine done from Keltec, link in the description box. But, you can also buy from websites like awesome gti and fit yourself. Mine cost £84 fitted & supplied!

Them farts sound really good just got my s3 2015 resonator deleted about a month ago just doesn’t seem to fart at all like urs it’s like silent when it shift gears any idea why? It has stage 1 map on it with ram air filter. It’s annoying not farting on shifts
Easy bro, just replying to all my comments today. Hmm.. I'm not sure. I've had a few people say that to me. I'm staring to think its maybe due to some companies using a small diameter in pipe. But, doubt it. Could just be the way the PFl is?
Just saw the bit about stage 1? That's odd. Have you asked your tuner to maybe map something subtle in?

Alright pal, have you noticed the tail pipes getting dirtier since getting the box removed? I’ve a 2019 s3 and I would be afraid to get this done if it made the tail pipes look awful
Not at all. There is no correlation between tail pipe dirt and a res delete. I'm just lazy and don't clean them.

Hi bro! It depends who you go to I suppose. But, Audi themselves passed my MOT, with the res delete, no issue. You should be fine.

Oh no. Just cut the middle silencer box out, and then replace with a straight pipe. Make sure to get your original box, just in case you need it for anything etc.
How did you get your tail lights to flicker like that?
Thats just the LED. Cameras pick it up that way.

Easy bro! Thanks, appreciate it. I haven’t, although I think the ones of the facelift S3 8v look so good compared to the Golf R, it actually looks like they are aftermarket 😂. Mine standard. I’ll upgrade the diffuses once I add my custom exhaust on. & tbh, I’m not entirely sure whether diffusers are straight clip on or clipped and screwed in. Although I’d assume it’s just a clip on plug/play.. something for me to make a video on soon I suppose 💪🏾

Nice vid does sound so much better but I do advise to get a full cat back instead of a res delete potential mot fail if the exhaust has any leaks from that weld over time from experience and some mot places were quite funny about it and put an advisory on it for excessive noise so I had to get weld the box back on for the next years mot. Long story short get a cat back instead

I didn't no, I didn't want that coded in. I'm planning on getting a custom exhaust soon. Res Delete, few bits coded in like g force meter, f1 brake light, dynamic wing mirror indicators and paddle extentions. I've just made my mod list...so watch out for all the vids. Most will be DIY, even the big ones like big brake kit change. Keep an eye out!
Hey I’ve got a Merc E400, really considering get a res delete done just wanted to ask do you get any droning sounds at low speeds??
Easy bro! That's nice. I'd be intrigued to hear what it will sound like. There is always the anti-drone option. But, on mine, on the motorway 60-80 mine is fine. I'm sure with the merc they have like 8 gears, so you'll be fine I reckon. I really only notice the loudness when I smash or hold that throttle.
